Chapter One: Going to the Circus
Sesshoumaru smiled as Rin danced ahead ecstatic about the trip to the circus. It was the Circus of the Bazaar and it was going to be odd. Three giant colored silk tents rose up off of the ground. The great lord could smell human and youkai alike. Also the smell of cooking meat wafted through the air and made his stomach roll unpleasantly. Were it not for Rin he would have never allowed the circus to take place on his lands. Though the business it brought was staggering.
As Sesshoumaru looked at the tents he sized them up. The first tent made of blue and yellow silk was the main tent where the trapeze and such were set. The second all black tent was the freak show meant to shock and scare. He planned to avoid the freak tent not wanting Rin to get nightmares. He was fond of the child but he really couldn't say why. The circus was a new thing he was adjusting to. It was also a human thing and it was pissing him off with all the reek of human sweat and shit not to mention the smell of the animals. Which led his eyes to the third blood red and creme colored tent, the animal were in.
He looked around feigning boredom but was looking about with mild amusement. He walked along behind Rin letting her lead him to where she wanted to go. The ring leader popped out of the third tent and announced that a show was about to start. Rin looked at him with pleading eyes. He smiled gently and nodded taking her hand. Another youkai dared to smirl at him. One look from his cold golden eyes made the snide smile drop off his face. He entered the tent Rin beside him and waited for the show to start.

Kagome was thrilled they invented the circus when she happened to be in the fuedal era. She dragged the gang along for some much needed R & R. Miroku and Sango were glad of the break. Inu-Yasha, however, was not so happy.
"Why are we going again? We should be out looking for shards." he groused, "Plus we're in my brother's territory."
"Because Inu-Yasha while you're half demon we're human and we need a break. As for Sesshoumaru...Suck it up." Kagome said not bothering to even look at the grumpy hanyou. She felt her pluse quicken at the mention of Inu-yasha's half brother. He was one scary demon, but Kagome doubted he would bother to even come to the circus.
They arrived just in time to catch a show at the animal tent. Stepping inside Kagome could smell the musky scent of the animals and feel the tingling sensation that came when she was around youkai. She looked through the crowd. sitting front row center was the frosty lord himself and the small girl with whom he always traveled. Kagome knew he was a killer but he was pretty. Wait what was she thinking? Her name was called and she tore her eyes away from Sesshoumaru's still form and sat with her friends.
