Escape To Our Future
This is the first in a series, each focusing on a different couple in the story. If you want to read into the other characters you may (Sessh/Kagura Miroku/Sango ect.) But you don’t have to. This is based on an old original story of mine that never really made it to the typewriter.
The full summary:
Two hundred years ago Sesshoumaru Younghusband entered an agreement with Yuki Higurashi. The contract stated that the Higurashi family would care for his younger brother during the times of riot; in return Inuyasha must marry the next born female heir.
Three years pass and the Higurashi influence wanes, a clan of exterminators advances on the neighborhood of protected youkai...Inuyasha, kidnapped from his bed hours before, survives.
Having heard of the attack Sesshoumaru flees London to find his brother only to be informed that the last of his family was killed. Returning to England he discovers that his fiancé was hauled back to France by her father. Utterly alone Sesshoumaru dives into his studies.
Two hundred years later unexpected events bring them all back together, but a notice declares that a female Higurashi has been born, after two hundred years of waiting, and Inuyasha must marry her.
Unable to bear the thought Inuyasha flees Japan to travel the world in his last year of freedom and search for a place to hide. Along the way he meets some friends willing to help him and his only love Kikyou. But they will all find that the hands of fate pull the strings and they will dance like puppets into their waiting future.
