The girl sat behind the boulders hiding as she tore away some of the cloth from her skirt to wrap around her left leg that bleed heavily a crimson red elixir. She looked to the head of the cave her left eye closed halfway showing a bruise growing around. The snow fell heavily now making it harder to see around in the cave. A male with a strange sword walked within the snow; head lowered and not very interested in what was around. Wondering lightly where all his brothers had went. It didn't matter. Something caught his attention, a scent, after being awakened from the dead he could easily catch certain scents. "Blood?" His lips mumbled lightly as he would follow it to a cave. He wouldn't go in right away, he would stand near the opening, but the heavy snow fall would hid him easily.

She sat up weakly her head barley showing over the boulder. "...Inu... Yasha.... is that you..." She couldn't see the figure, but she felt like she was being watched.

He blinked idly, as he whispered the name over "Inuyasha" He thought in his head a bit, is this girl the one I saw traveling with Inuyasha? Slowly he would wander in the cave; there was lots of blood. Damn him from being slightly different from his brothers. Yet he wasn't going to take jewel shards from someone who was hurt. He wouldn't have them here to do that, in fact, he can't remember if he had a heart at all. He would walk around the boulders and kneel down to her level. "No, I'm Jakotsu. You may remember me, but I barely remember you. Do you need help? If you don't then I'll gladly be on my way." His eyes glinted lightly; this woman was quite beautiful, well for a woman of course.

“.... Your brothers will only come to find me again..." She spoke sadly. "They killed the man you loved so dearly I hope you that..." Her eyes trailed away from his as she tried to stand using the rocky wall.

He put a hand over his heart, wondering who she was speaking of. The man he loved so dearly? Inuyasha? No, he truthfully didn't 'love' him he just thought he was very cute. She must have mistaken that. He let out a loud laugh. "Yes, my brothers will find you. But it seems I found you first. If you don't want my help I'll leave you here to die then." Slowly he would stand and turn his back on her, this might just bring her to a point of accepting his help. It worked this way when he helped that little girl out that one time. But that was long ago.

“.... Won’t your brothers kill you for helping a human a wanted human at that?" She spoke worriedly not wanting any harm to come to him for the offer he gave her.

He gave a lopsided grin as he spun around with a giant smile "Yes, they might. But it would be quite hard, but my biggest brother has seemed to misplace Bankotsu again. What a dumb ass. So, what is this about my 'lover' being dead? Do you mean Inuyasha? What happened to him?" He was slightly interested in that as he would plop down next to her his eyes wide with interest as he ripped a strip of fabric from the bottom of his strange feminine kimono. Slowly he would get herbs that he carried around in a purse like bag. He would look at where she had slightly covered the wound. "Move it so I can help you." Jakotsu wasn't all that bad was he?

She moved laying her leg out in front of her. "...Your older brother slain him and the others in my group... If you like I can help you find the rest of the shards."

He twitched idly; He killed the monk demon slayer and Inuyasha? Strange, this wasn't the oracle said would happen, shifting his gaze back to the wound he would place the herbs on it, then wrap it up in the cloth form his Kimono. "Let me rephrase your sentence and it will be coming from me. "I will help you in completing the jewel. I am in no need of the band of seven. My brothers hate the fact that I'm different anyway." He shrugged and tied the bandage tightly to cut of any more blood loss. "How did you manage to escape my brother?"

"...Inuyasha laid his body over mine and told me to play dead." She spoke sadly as she stared up to him. "When I knew your brother was gone I took off trying to find shelter."

Lowered his head, lightly, how could his brother do such a thing. His brother usually didn't kill and just walk off, he usually had something up his sleeve. What was he planning now? Shifting his gaze back to Kagome he let a small smile spread on his lips. "I'm sorry to hear that. You'll be safe with me. My brothers won't kill me. I don't think they could even if they wanted to." He looked down, he had forgotten to remove his hands from her leg, quickly he moved them back then looked away from her staring at the boulder, all of a sudden it seemed as if he was interested in it.

"...Would there be anything I can give you for saving my life then Jakotsu-kun?" She tilted her head resting gently on the cold boulder her eyes closed now as she tried to rest.

He would stand and walk near the entrance of the cave then lean against the rock like wall. "Yeah, help me not be me." He didn't even pay attention to his own words, he wanted to be normal. Not one of the Band of seven. To much killing. Though he did enjoy the screams, it would be a lot fun to enjoy the screams of those who really deserved to die. His head lowered as he stared at the slightly snow drifted ground. He wondered if he could bring Inuyasha back for Kagome when the jewel was complete.

"...I think you are perfect the way you are." Her eyes trailed to his form at the front of the cave. "I regret never telling Inuyasha that..." She spoke sadly as she tried to stand.

Would since her movement, slowly he would walk to her, sigh as he turned around. "Climb on, I saw Inuyasha do this to you a couple of times. I can do it too I guess." His head was still bowed a bit. Wondering lightly where they would go right off the bat slowly he would speak again. "Where to?" His arms seemed a bit different, a bit more muscular then before. He wasn't just plan skinny Jakotsu with a snake like sword. He was muscled Jakotsu with a snake like sword now.*

She shook her head. "Its storming to badly outside to travel we can rest here for tonight until morning comes."
He tilts his head as he looks out in the storm, blinking idly he really didn't seem to think that it was storming all to badly. Shrugging he would sit down again, slowly he would look around the cave for some spare bark or sticks left here by demons or animals. He managed to find a few dried leaves and some sticks. He would place them on the ground and take a rock and use his sword to create the sparks, a small fire would roar quietly as he smiled gently at Kagome. "Fine with me."

She nodded smiling bit as she knelt down beside him resting a bit. “.... You’re the only one I have left Jakotsu-kun. Thank you for helping me."

Smiles, hoping he wasn't being a bit to hast he would slink one arm around her shoulders in a friendly way. "I will protect you Kagome-Chan. I promise you this." He was willing to risk his neck for her now; actually him helping her was risking his neck to his brothers already. Oh well like he really gave a rats ass on what they thought.*

"...Where would we go if we left the cave your brothers would track us down. We should find them they might not kill me if I tell them i can track the shards down." She spoke resting her head on his shoulder.

He looked at her, that might be true, but he didn't want his brothers to have the jewel once it was completed. He would simply place his chin on the top of her head as his lids slid over his eyes. "Hmm, maybe, we'll see about that tomorrow won't we." He let out a soft sigh, he was getting a bit tired.

She nodded lightly closing her eyes as she moved laying down on the cave flooring. "Jakotsu-kun why did you start killing?"

He sighed watching her lay on the cave floor, she was to pretty to be doing that. He pondered her question lightly. "My brothers conned me into it. I really didn't have a choice, it was either that or get killed by them when they destroyed our own village." He looked at the fire no unblinkingly, the memories of his past haunting him*

She looked up to him sadly. "So you really don't want to go back to them even with me as an excuse."

Laughs idly as he looks at her smiling "No, I don't want to, I'd rather keep you away from them Kagome-Chan. They might kill people, but their still men. Men who haven’t been around women in a long time." He would look at her calmly now a slight raised smile on his lips, he was being very gentle with her, and this wasn't normal for him! I mean this is Jakotsu people! He usually criticized women about their hair. But something about her made him feel a bit different.

"At least I won't have to worry about you because of what you love I do not mind you loving men one bit I do not judge that way and never will although you scared me when you wanted to cut Inuyasha’s ears off." She giggled lightly.
He laughed out loud as he let a grin slide on his face, yes he had wanted to do that only because he loved them so much. "But his ears are so damned cute! I love them so much." He would wave a friendly smile her way with his head slightly tilted. She smiled sadly. "I do not hate you though for acting the way you do."

He blinked idly and looked at her "Who said I'm completely gay? I could be bisexual you know that right." He winked then started laughing quite hard his arms crossing over his stomach as he plopped onto his back, with a sigh his laughter died, he was staring at the ceiling. "Your not from here Kagome-Chan. Your clothes are to different, where are you from really?"

She looked away. "...Where I came from I can not return so its not any use saying where."

He slowly sat up his head tilting. "But why can't you return?" He was very curious, slowly he would lay on his belly a bit closer to her, he really loved her hair. He would smile and pick up a strand of it slightly messing with it, slightly hoping she didn't mind.

She blushed lightly looking down. "It doesn't matter I'm staying here."

He let out a small chuckle. "Why stay here where there are demons around that would love to get a hold of a beautiful women's flesh?" His voice wasn't as feminine as usual a bit deeper as he whispered. Strange, he usually never used that voice, oh well. He wanted to change a bit anyway.

“.... I just feel like I need to stay here." She looked away from him her head resting on the cold floor.

Would nod lightly a bit "You loved Inuyasha didn't you Kagome-Chan." It was more of a statement then a question his eyes were almost matching Sesshomaru's cold gaze, but his had more life in them, a lot more life in them.

"He never knew, but I think that was best..." Her voice was a bit shaky as she spoke

Would slide his body near hers and enclose her in a hug. "I'm sorry Kagome-Chan, it must hurt you to talk about him. I will get him back for you. Somehow, I swear I will." He would seem almost to growl as he thought of his older brother in his head 'I will get revenge on Inuyasha for Kagome-Chan’s sake' He would look at her carefully. "You can cry if you wish Kagome-Chan."

She shook her head. "No if Inuyasha was meant to die with the others then so be it its nothing that can be fixed..."

He shook his head remembering the oracle. "He shouldn't have died. I will get revenge Kagome-Chan, I swear that then." His eyes were cold now, dangerously cold, with a hint of wanting to rip someone’s throat out most likely his brothers

She kissed his cheek. "We need to get some rest now."

He blinked and let a slight blush rise on his cheek then quickly be swept away. "You sleep, I'll be asleep after you go, I have to make sure you'll be alright Kagome-Chan." He smiled happily at her.

"I am safe. I’m in the hands of a killer."

He laughs a bit as his lids slowly slide over his eyes, letting out a deep sight he mumbled one last thing. "G'night Kagome-chain."

"…Night Jakotsu-kun..." She fell asleep beside him shivering lightly.

Would slightly feeling her shivers he would switch to her other side blocking her from the chill coming from the entrance, slowly he would wrap his arms around her pulling her close, he wanted to keep her warm. His nose would nuzzle into her hair as he slowly drifted into sleep. She woke in the morning looking around then notices his arms around her body she blushed lightly. Was sleeping almost like a baby still, his features were calm, his mouth closed he was breathing steadily through his nose, yet, Jakotsu didn't have his jewel shard anymore. His older brother had taken it from him. How was he still alive then? That would be a mystery Kagome would have to figure out on her own.*

"..Jakotsu-kun?" She shook him lightly. "Its time to get up."

His eyes slowly slid open as he looked at her, he let a smile smooth over his lips as he took his arms off of her with a slight blush. "Sorry, but you seemed cold last night." Slowly he would sit up his hand going to his forehead. "Hnnn, did you sleep ok?" His tongue flicked out and licked his lips lightly.

"...Your shard where is it?" She looked at him a bit confused not really minding being held by him

He blinked idly and let a sheepish grin spread upon his lips. "My brother Stole it from me. I thought I would die, but I didn't. Don't know why exactly." He shrugged lightly as he stretched a bit, his eyes wandering to the opening of the cave his mouth dropped open. "Looks like we'll have to dig ourselves out." He lowered his head in a way if annoyance. "I'll do it, no need for you to hurt your leg anymore. Oh, how is your leg by the way Kagome-Chan?" He turned to her and smiled again*

"...Oh my leg its fine don't worry about it." She smiled at him kindly standing weakly.

He let out a sigh and stood up next to her his arm going around her waist. "You should sit while I dig a tunnel through the snow." he would give her a smile and try and help her to sit her down on a small boulder.

Looks up to him a bit sadly wanting to help him. "If you need help I will help you Jakotsu-kun."

Smiled as he walked towards the wall of snow. "I'm absolutely fine, you don't have to worry about anything." He would slowly take his sword from his back and used only a few swipes; his sword did the swaying stretch thing it does as it cleared a large path for them. "See?" He would turn and walk towards her. "Please climb on my back, walking on your hurt leg will make it worse." She nodded lightly walking to him climbing onto his back wrapping her arms around his neck hugging.

She climbed onto his back wrapping her arms around his neck hugging smiling as she did.

He grinned, as he would hook his arms around her legs gently, so that he wouldn't hurt her. Slowly he would stand and start walking through the tunnel he had made, the snow around him felt cold, he let out a small shiver. "You ok back there?" He tried his best to not make her bounce. She nodded lightly cuddling close to him.

Smiled warmly as he finally made it all the way out of the tunnel. He would look around. "Now where are we, that's the only question." He would laugh lightly but kept her on his back, holding her up with barely any effort, she was quite light.

"I don't know I just ran.” She rested her head on his shoulder looking around sadly.

Sighed a bit as he continued to walk, he was nearing a snow-covered forest, his nose flared a scent came into his nose. His eyes widened. "Shit." Quickly he would turn to his left and start running. "Sorry for the bumpy ride Kagome-Chan but you won't want to go in that direction." Fear was lined in his features. He wouldn't let Kagome see his face. He was very swift, yet he barely made a noise. She stayed silent holding onto him tightly trying to keep her cries low.

Slowly he slowed down; they were in the western lands now. He could tell, only because he could smell Inuyasha's older brother scent. Hmm, he was cute to. Quickly he shook that thought from his head; he would let Kagome down near a stump of a old oak tree. He was listening intently; his features were now hard and angry.

"..Jakotsu-kun... what’s wrong...?" She said as she tried to stand.

Would walk over to her carefully as he put one finger to his lips. "Shh, I can since my brothers." He would put his hands on her shoulders so that she would sit, he would of course sit next to her. "If they come any closer you'll have to hide. I won't let them know. I'll tell them the reason your scent it so strong is because I found your body after you were killed." His gaze was unwavering as he stared through the tree's waiting, listening.

She held out her shards placing them into his hands. "...Incase..." Was all she whispered.

Blinked idly as he looked down at the shards and smiled. His smile was slightly sweet. His head snapped to the right, he heard something. Damn, who was that, it wasn't a scent he recognized at all. His eyes narrowed to small slits as he waited for something to come from the greenery. "I won't let anything happen to you or the shards Kagome-Chan."

"...It'll be ok." She spoke sadly.

Looks at her quizzically. "What’s wrong Kagome-Chan?"

"...I am your captured miko used for collecting the shards."

He raises an eyebrow at what she was saying, then it clicked a bit, it was a coy. Interesting. "Hmm, I could collect a bit more from you if I wanted to." He would stop at that then start blushing, he would then look away watching the area, the scents had died down so he just sat next to her a smile lining his face. "Their gone."*

"...Your brothers Jakotsu-kun?" She spoke quietly.

Nodded lightly as he would lean his head forward. "Yes, my brothers their gone." He would heave a sigh, as he would look at her now. His face stone hard as he looked at her features. He really thought she was beautiful.

She blushed a dark red letting out a sigh looking away. Blinked as he would lift his hand to brush across her cheek. "Kagome-Chan?" He pondered lightly.

"...You’ll never forgive..."

Blinked idly as he would continue to caress her cheek. "Tell me what’s wrong."

"...I'm carrying Inuyasha’s child..."

His eyes widen as he felt something a pang within him, he shook it away. "I'm so sorry. If you wish I will help you raise that child. Since...Inuyasha is...." He couldn't even bear to say the word 'dead'

"...Sesshoumaru may come for me and the child soon."

Would blink idly. "Why would that bastard come for you? I thought he hated Inuyasha" He said with a slight shock in his eyes

"...The child would be next in line to take over the land since Sesshoumaru has no children..."

His head lowered, as he would stand up. "I won't let him...." He paused; he couldn't believe he was going to say this. "I won't let him take you from me. I just won't. I refuse it Kagome-Chan!" He would slightly walk about two feet away and sit down his back facing her; he cupped her face with his hands.

Tears rolled down. "...The child will have a good life I have to take the child’s safety into account...."

His head would lean back as he stared into the sky, his orbs glinting as he stared at the clouds, he would take his hand up to where his hair was tied up, he would let it fall, it was only about shoulder length, nothing longer. He could feel his own tears roll down his cheeks; he wouldn't let her see them though. "The child would not have a good life with Sesshomaru. He will kill you and raise the child to hate humans Kagome-Chan."

"...But the child would be safe Sesshoumaru knows about the child Inuyasha never knew..."

Shakes his head "Didn't you hear me. He'll kill you Kagome-Chan!" He would turn, now fully showing the tears that streaked his cheeks, not caring at all. He wanted to care for both the child and Kagome
