His memories were vague to say the least. There was the coppery taste of blood in his mouth and the fire from tentacles that ripped over, under and through his skin. There was the white hot light of purity ripping through his heart. His first love and his second standing together holding the bow, holding the arrows, looking him in the eye as they killed him. One face aghast with horror, the other stared with cold empty eyes in a clay mask face. Then there was nothing, only black. He couldn’t see and he couldn’t feel pain or heat or cold or anger or joy or anything. He could hear the pulsing, a steady rhythm close but too far to be that of his own heart. He was dead. It didn’t bother him. He was weightless and the world was empty, but he felt at peace. Then the pulsing grew louder, closer. It called to him; it pulled him away, back into a world of charred flesh and blood. The battlefield was quiet no more cries of fear or sorrow. The battle ended some time ago, for no mourners lingered, only a few carrion birds circled over head. He breathed, his first breath in he didn’t know how long.
“Get up little brother.”
Sesshomaru looked down on him, while sheathing Tensaiga. It was obvious that he didn’t save Inuyasha out of any sort of compassion.
“Why did you…?”
“After months of negotiation I have finally managed to forge a settlement with Lord Maseto of the Dragon Clan whose lands are adjunct to my own in the northern plains. He wished for me to marry his daughter, but that was not appealing to me. Fortunately your recent successes in battle convinced him that despite your mixed blood, you would be a decent match for Lady Miyako. Of course, now that I’ve finally found a use for you, I find you dead.”
It took less than a second for the once dead brain to process the information and send a flare of anger through Inuyasha that erupted in a stream of screaming curses.
Sesshomaru did not wince, merely cocked an eye and wryly replied, “As expected, you’ll have to undergo some lessons in civility before formal introductions are made.”
“You fucking asshole I can’t believe you brought me back to life just so you could marry me off in your land negotiations.”
“Is it really so hard to believe? For what other reason would I bring you back to life? Besides,” Sesshomaru picked up a broken, bloody arrow, “it seems as though you no longer have any romantic entanglements which would otherwise hamper this union.”
Inuyasha failed to keep the look of hurt off his face at that jibe. They had all agreed on the plan beforehand. It was his responsibility to get clear of Naraku when the arrow was fired, if he could. Even so, bitter vile welled up in him, when he remembered that arrow flying towards him and knew he was too entangled with his enemy to make the necessary escape. He knew Kikyo had probably pushed Kagome to fire the arrow early, but it didn’t lessen the sting of betrayal any.
“So what, it doesn’t mean I’m gonna jump into someone’s bed at your command.”
Sharp claws dripped acid onto his neck and the newly repaired vertebrae began to crack against the sharp stones that he was forcefully pushed into. “You will do as I command Inuyasha. I saved your filthy worthless half-breed life as a convenience and I will take it away at my convenience if it doesn’t prove useful to me. Your life is no longer your own.”
Inuyasha began to cough blood as the acid nails pierced past his flesh into his throat, while Sesshomaru lifted him into the air, dangling him like sack or rags. “I have managed to secure you a mate of pure noble blood far better than you deserve and instead of thanks I must endure more of your guttural simpering. It ends now Inuyasha. Your tongue will be made to utter civil discourse and your appearance will be refined to that appropriate for one of the Inu clan and your demeanor will be charming, sophisticated and elegant or I will have you chained in the dungeon for a thousand years, eating the scraps from Jaken’s plate and drinking the remnants of his bathwater as your sole nourishment if you do not behave yourself.”
Inuyasha reached desperately for Tessaiga but the sheath at his side was empty. Through the edges of black creeping into his vision, Inuyasha recalled the sword shattering along with Naraku’s demonic barrier. He tried to claw at his chest, to send his blades of blood at his brother but his hand was shaking with the fading of his consciousness.
Then he was tossed aside. He didn’t even feel the rocks he landed on; his body was so weak and torn. He still managed a snotty comeback, though his voice sounded more defeated than even his hope. “If she’s so noble and pure-blooded then why’d you turn her down, big brother?”
“I said she was better than what you deserve, that doesn’t mean she is worthy enough to be my mate. I am Inutaishou’s eldest demon heir, not his half-breed bastard child. There is no comparison between us. Now come along little brother, there is much you must learn.”
“Keh.” Inuyasha held his tongue, for Sesshomaru said exactly what Inuyasha thought he would. Furthermore, he was hungry. He didn’t know who, if anyone, survived the battle and a quick look at the area, showed that any clues had burned away. He had no weapon, no where to go and he was injured now. He slowly got to his feet. He followed Sesshomaru telling himself that tomorrow, after a good night’s rest, he’d find out what happened to the others and move on from there.
__________________ chapter 2____________________________
“So you can read?”
“I was raised by a princess, you know. She taught me plenty before she died.” Inuyasha didn’t mention that the ostracizing by the village’s children, gave him little else to do besides study.
Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes, but merely nodded before gesturing around the room. “In this library you will find a complete history of the Western lands. Make sure you learn the names of the clans and houses which I’m allied with and the clans which are currently opposing me. You’ll have to read my log which I keep here,” Sesshomaru pointed to an open book on the table below the room’s only window. “You must also learn how to tell someone’s importance by his or her title. A demon’s importance is measured not only by how many are under his command but also by who that person is associated with. Your title will be Master Inuyasha, as far as outsiders are concerned. If you have questions, you may ask Jaken. He spends much of his time in this room. If he does not know the answer, then you may ask me.”
Inuyasha was left alone after that. He looked out the window. It would be simple enough to jump down to the ground below and make a run for it, but he didn’t feel like making his escape just yet. He had never learned much about his father from his mother, now was his chance. He spent hours in that room. Most of it was rather dry and boring, but he read all he could for those few pieces of information that could help him discover just what kind of personality his father had.
Much to his disappointment he found little or no mention of humans. It seemed that though human settlements popped up around the Western lands from time to time, they were not significant enough to gain more than a cursory mention. So he had no clue how his father might have first come into contact with his mother. Whenever he was young and asked questions about the past, it brought his mother great sadness and so he quickly learned not to ask.
Just as his stomach began to rumble and the sun was directly overhead, Inuyasha was fetched by Jaken. The toad took him to a table laden with various dishes.
“Alright! I was beginning to think Sesshomaru lived more like a monk than a king.” He made a swipe at a rather plump looking fowl and promptly had his hand smacked by the uglier of the two heads on Jaken’s staff.
“You are here to learn table manners. You may eat, once you’ve displayed proper manners.”
“Listen runt, I ain’t takin’ any shit from you. I haven’t had anything all day and I am not about to sit here and listen to you lecture me while this food goes cold.”
“You will listen and learn or you will not eat. Lord Sesshomaru for some reason thinks that you may actually be of use to him. You should be grateful that he’s given you the opportunity to serve him. Of course you’ll never be as useful to him as I am, but I have sworn to try my best to train you into some semblance of civility. It’s not easy, but if I can teach that wretched human over there, I suppose I can teach you as well.”
Jaken went on with his ramble, but Inuyasha ignored it. The food smelled so good and he was so hungry that he actually failed to pick up on the scent of a human girl sitting quite impatiently at the table. In fact she fidgeted so much in her seat that Inuyasha thought perhaps she needed to use the bathroom. She smiled at him when he looked at her and he noticed that she was missing a tooth. He remembered her and his shock when he had learned that she was traveling with Sesshomaru, but couldn’t recall her name. He was even more shocked to see her now. He assumed that Sesshomaru would have killed her or at least left her behind by now.
“What’s your name, kid?” He asked, as he took his seat.
“I’m Rin and you’re Inuyasha.”
“Heh, so you remember me.”
“Rin remembers.” Rin was now swinging her legs back and forth and humming, happy for the company.
“So are we gonna eat or what?”
“You will not! You eat when the Lord or Lady has seated and begun to eat. Since Lord Sesshomaru won’t be joining us, I’ll be the Lord. You may make conversation until the Lord arrives, but when the Lord enters, you must silence yourselves. You can’t begin to put food on your plate until the Lord has begun to do so and you don’t start eating until the Lord does so. Once the Lord is engaged in either eating or speaking, then and only then may you renew your conversation. Also if the Lord raises his glass, then you must stop your talking or eating and wait for him. Now I’m going to go outside and when I come in, I expect you stop your talking.”
Jaken left the room, looking as regal as a 2 foot tall toad could. Inuyasha looked at Rin who was still smiling at him. “I guess we should be yakking right now. You got anything to say kid?”
“Rin picked these flowers.” She pointed at a few scraggly wildflowers in a vase on the middle of the table. They were nice, but there was only a few of them, so they made the vase seem emptier than if there were none at all.
“Uh-huh those are nice.”
“You think so?! Then Rin will pick flowers for Inuyasha.” The girl seemed way too happy in Inuyasha’s opinion. He briefly wondered if Shippo was still alive. He’d get along well with this kid. Of everyone who fought, he wanted Shippo to survive the most. That surprised him. He thought he loved Kikyo and Kagome, but he always knew he would part with them at some point. Miroku and Sango were human so even if he stayed in contact with them, they’d pass away while he was still young, but Shippo was a full-blooded demon. In 20 or 30 years he’d be strong enough to spar with Inuyasha. Of all his friends, Shippo was the one who Inuyasha thought would be around the longest and he just thought the kid was too innocent to be killed by Naraku.
Inuyasha smiled sadly, depressed at the turn his thoughts had made. “I’d like that.” He told Rin all of a sudden wanting to please the girl.
Jaken walked in, putting on airs. He seemed pleased that the conversation had stopped, though really Inuyasha had nothing more to say to the little girl. Nodding to himself, the toad took his time climbing into the large chair at the end of the table. Inuyasha snorted at the spectacle, while Rin just giggled. Once the toad was in his seat, Inuyasha made a grab for the bird, and again got a thump on the hand.
“Damnit, you’re sitting, so let me eat.”
“You must wait for the Lord of the manor to begin filling his plate. Besides you don’t just grab the food you want. If the food is out of your reach you must ask for it.”
“Fine, fine, just give me the bird already. I’m getting so hungry I could eat some frog legs.” Inuyasha turned to Jaken and smirked wickedly. “I could even eat them raw.” He wiggled his eyebrows and Jaken slid down the back of his chair. Rin began to laugh outright and Inuyasha gobbled down the first thing within reach.
It wasn’t as enjoyable as a meal around the campfire with Sango, Miruko, Shippo and Kagome, but it was still a pleasant enough meal and Inuyasha began to feel comfortable within his brother’s house.
_________________________chapter 3___________________________________
It had been almost 3 weeks and Inuyasha did not want to leave, but he had to and he had to leave tonight. Inuyasha had never expected that he would find himself comfortable in his brother’s home. He had seen his brother only briefly over the last 3 weeks, but they managed to be civil with each other. After two weeks of driving Jaken up the wall, Sesshomaru had joined them for dinner and a lesson in etiquette. His brother’s cold demeanor and strong jaki commanded a certain level of respect that Inuyasha found himself observing the rules of etiquette unconsciously.
He had taken a liking to Rin. He would tell her the stories of his family that he had recently read to her at night before bed. The retelling helped him remember and always put a smile on her face. He wanted to learn more about his family, including his brother and he wanted to have someone to protect once again. It gave his life some meaning, but tonight was the new moon and no matter what progress had been made recently, he did not wish to test his brother’s good will when he was in such a vulnerable state.
And so he ran. He would have waited until after dinner, his disappearance less likely to be discovered if he could wait until the evening meal had passed, but it was late autumn and the night came early.
His stomach rumbled as he ran through a stream two miles away from the mountain castle. As the last rays of light slipped below the horizon he turned around briefly and sniffed the air. His brother was in pursuit. There was little he could do now, except hope that his human smell would be carried downwind, away from Sesshomaru and any hungry youkai in the area. He thought about ditching the fire rat robe, since it was carrying his more familiar scent, but it was his only protection now. His human legs would not carry him away fast enough. He had to hide and soon.
He spotted some caves and ran faster. His lungs began to burn. Reaching the mouth of the lowest lying cave he ducked his head in and looked around. His poor human eyes saw nothing but black. He went inside.
“What a fortunate night. Dinner has come to me.”
Inyasha felt the very air in his lungs still, before he ran back outside. It was too late, sharp nails were biting into his neck and shoulder. He screamed out in pain, tried desperately to knock the hands away. He forearm hit muscle and bone as solid and unmovable as rock. He was dragged backward. Fire erupted in his head.
He came to in the dead of night. The stars overhead and the moon, placed the time at only a few hours before dawn. A figure as white and still as the stone he was perched on was watching over him. Yellow eyes showed disdain. Inuyasha was not far from the cave mouth. A dark fluid glinting in the moonlight held a muted shade of crimson. His attacker, whose face he never saw, was dead. He thought it odd that Sesshomaru would not have moved further away, for though he could not smell it in his current form, he was sure the stench of blood was nauseating.
“What do you have to say for yourself Inuyasha?”
“Huh?”
“No explanation for your stupidity? Am I to assume that you have managed to survive your transformation into a weak human all these years, through sheer dumb luck? Am I to assume that you often spend your nights as a vulnerable human running away from the safe protection of shelter that you have been given?”
Inuyasha said nothing. He didn’t know if he should be awaiting a death blow right now or not. His brother seemed annoyed more than anything. He had expected Sesshomaru to be disgusted, possibly shocked. He had not expected his brother to save him. Were they not still enemies? Was his existence not just a convenience to Sesshomaru’s territorial negotiations and something to be discarded upon the Western lord’s whim? Did tonight’s botched escape attempt, not constitute enough of an annoyance to earn him his death?
Inuyasha’s head hurt, from confusion, from being bonked, from looking at his brother. In his human eyes, Sesshomaru seemed to move like the wind. His motions were too subtle to catch, his hair and skin glowed in the moonlight and yet his human heart knew that the being before him was powerful beyond reason. His breath caught, from trying to sit up, from seeing such beauty. He whimpered.
“I have no more patience for you tonight Inuyasha.” Sesshomaru lifted his brother into his arms without effort. He was careless of the other’s injuries and scowled when the smell of fresh blood hit his nose. They moved at a dizzying pace and Inuyasha had to close his eyes to keep from getting sick at the scene of trees moving by too quickly for his eye to catch. “You are right to fear me, but you should never assume me ignorant Inuyasha. It is an insult I will not bear.”
“So you knew.” He muttered, in both misery and hope. If Sesshomaru knew all along, then he had truly spared his little brother’s life all these years.
“There is a saying: You must know your enemy more intimately than you would know even your brother. Since you are both, you are well known to me.”
“Sesshomaru…”
They were back already. His brother had carried him straight through the window of what he had recently begun thinking of as his room. He was dropped to his feet so quickly he almost fell on his face, but Inuyasha managed to steady himself in time to listen to his brother’s parting words.
“Heal quickly little brother, you meet your betrothed in 3 days.”
________________chapter 4__________________________
She was nice for a demon. She was pretty, but not a beauty. She was certainly as fair as Kikyo or Kagome and much more powerful. She was taller than he was, but Inuyasha could still gain an inch or two in the years to come. She was older, but with his human blood, she would still outlive him. She was gracious and polite. After the formal introductions and a light brunch they were given time alone together.
She stared at him, and asked about his battles, his relationship with Sesshomaru, and his plans for the future. Inuyasha found that he was talking too much, excited that a full-blooded demon would actually think his opinion worthwhile. When recounting his fights against Naraku, he blushed, embarrassed at his own boasting.
She giggled and said she thought it was cute, then asked quite modestly if she could touch his ears. That caused him to blush again and her soft caresses soon turned to a quiet afternoon of sitting in the shade and having a well born demoness comb his hair with her fingers. Inuyasha was not in love, but he was smitten.
The day ended with Inuyasha stealing a kiss before escorting the Lady Miyako through the forest, back to her brother. He felt quite relieved when he joined Rin and Sesshomaru for supper that evening. As usual his brother said little, but Rin was a font of curiosity and he answered most of her questions, since they were fairly innocent. After the meal he was surprised when Sesshomaru detained him.
“I have learned of some rather disturbing developments within the Dragon Clan. It seems Lord Maseto has decided to push his outlying villages closer to the border between our lands, than was agreed upon in our negotiations. It seems that Lady Miyako has been acting as a distraction on her father’s behalf. I have decided that our good faith treaty is no longer valid and will be striking directly at Lord Maseto just before dawn. You are to dispatch of Lady Miyako and her brother tonight, after I depart. You must make sure that they do not raise any alarm to warn their father off. If I fail to kill him with my initial attack a war between our lands will surely break out. “
“You,… you want me to kill them?”
“Yes.”
“But that’s murder.”
“They have deceived us and now that our alliance is dissolved, they are enemies.”
“But…”
“There are no buts, Inuyasha. You will do as I command and if you do not, I will kill you.”
“I won’t become your assassin Sesshomaru!”
“You are breathing at my convenience Inuyasha. You sit at my table, eat my food and sleep in my house, but you will not follow my commands. You are an ungrateful, disloyal, soft-hearted, useless hanyou, whom against my better judgment I took pity on. I had some vague hope that you could overcome the debility of your human blood, I am not surprised to find I was wrong.” Sesshomaru had not moved from his seat, nor had he even bothered to look at his younger brother during the entire discourse thus far.
“I never asked for any of this Sesshomaru! I don’t need your home or your food or your clothes. You brought me back to life, but took me away from the life I knew. If you want to kill me than just try it! I’m ready to take you on, anytime.”
Almost as soon as the words were out of Inuyasha’s mouth, Sesshomaru struck. He had his little brother pushed face down onto the table in seconds. Shards from the shattered dinnerware and remnants of food and drink were squashed beneath Inuyasha’s face and chest. His hands were free but useless. Technically he could reach behind himself and slash at Sesshomaru, but he had no leverage. Sesshomaru’s hand circled his thin neck pushing him harder into the table. The long, sharp claws dripped with acid, burning away the wood veneer. Though Inuyasha could not see them, he was sure tiny plumes of smoke were rising.
“Understand your worth, hanyou. If you will not serve me, you are worth nothing. I will not hesitate to end your life.”
Inuyasha was desperate. He could not kill just because his brother told him too, but he had died once and facing imminent death again so soon, he found himself reluctant to follow that path again. He was pinned and he was outmatched. Though he was loathe to admit his own weakness, he knew that his brother was stronger, always had been and always would be. It was the fate of his blood.
He whimpered, and then mentally cursed himself. His eyes widened in shock and he noticed through the curtain of white that his brother’s eyes held a spark of surprise as well. The hand around his neck moved. It slid away from his skin, but he was not freed.
Sesshomaru bent low over his brother and rested the tips of his fangs lightly on Inuyasha’s neck, just above the jugular. The intent was clear. He spoke quietly. “If a war breaks out, many will die, including humans whom you seem so concerned over. Lady Miyako has marched on the battlefront before. Her hands are not clean of human blood. Do not be so easily deceived little brother. If these demons were not dangerous, I would not waste my time with them. If you do as I ask more lives will be saved in the long run. I have found your presence more tolerable than I ever thought possible. It would be a shame if I had to kill you now.”
Sesshomaru pressed something into Inuyasha’s hand. It was the hilt of a sword, one whose power he could feel as soon as his fingers touched it. He nodded numbly. Sesshomaru left, but Inuyasha remained frozen with his head resting on the table. He was shocked at his own actions, feeling as though the whole scene had taken place under a fog. He had just agreed to kill his fiancé. He slid down to his knees and hugged the sword to his body. It was the first gift his brother had ever given him.
________________chapter 5__________________________
Killing them wasn’t as hard as he thought. They put up a good fight and that got his juices pumping. He wasn’t really sure that he could go through with it, when he intercepted their party along the forest path, with his sword in his hand and his eyes hooded by the moon at his back. Lady Miyako’s brother easily guessed Inuyasha’s intentions and attacked first. Once the battle was on it was as if Inuyasha’s mind and conscience turned off.
It was different from the time he’d grown feral lost in his youkai. He was always aware. Never did Lady Miyako ever try to reason with him. Never did she ask him why. It seemed her total lack of despair and willingness to fight, proved his brother’s words true and this angered Inuyasha. It angered him to think that he had been a tool, for her, for her father, for his brother as well. So he slashed and he hacked, he sliced as fiercely as if he were facing Kagura or Naraku or any of his past enemies. He enjoyed it too. It was wonderful to best full-blooded demons when he was just a mere half-breed.
When he was done, he couldn’t bring himself to look upon the scene. It was only when he had walked away with a numb-knowledge of his actions, emblazoned in his mind that he truly accepted what had transpired. He stood in the moonlight wiping the blood from the blade, then threw it away into the thick of the forest with a gut-wrenching howl. He ran, determined never to return to his brother. He would find Miroku or Sango or Shippo and if he couldn’t find them, he would find their graves and beg forgiveness from their rotting corpses.
He ran blindly and frantically, stopping only when he found himself at the edge of a small lake. The overwhelming desire to wipe the blood from his claws had him scrubbing frantically in the water, tearing his clothes off, trying to wash the blood from them and his hair and out from his nails all at once and accomplishing none of these things. His frustration and frenzy escalated. It blinded him; he neither saw nor heard anything around him.
It was a complete shock when the edge of the blade that he had so carelessly tossed away was found resting cool beneath his chin, raising his eyes up into the slanted golden gaze of Sesshomaru.
A look of complete calm and boredom was upon his brother’s face. A stack of his wet, soggy, still somewhat bloody clothes rested at Sesshomaru’s feet. They had been fished out of the water, and Inuyasha had noticed not a thing.
“Come here, Inuyasha.”
That voice always sparked a reaction in him. Inuyasha growled. “Leave me alone, Sesshomaru.”
The blade at his neck smacked him, forcing his head higher. “I said come here.”
“I’ve already followed one of your commands today. That’s all I can stomach.”
Sesshomaru sighed, the blade withdrew. “Do not be such a child Inuyasha. You’ve killed many demons before. Do you always throw a fit afterwards?”
Inuyasha growled again. “That was different, they were evil, killing weaker demons and humans, possessing them, stealing stores of villagers’ food…”
“Or just plain carrying shards of that jewel, which you coveted so desperately. Do not be such a hypocrite Inuyasha. You killed them because they had something that you wanted.”
“That’s not true. We gathered the shards to keep them out of Naraku’s hands.”
“You coveted the shards because you wanted the jewel to make you into a full-blooded demon. You despised Naraku because he had the power you wanted. I do not care if you wish to deceive yourself Inuyasha, but do not insult my intelligence. I told before, that I know all about you. It seems I know you better than you know yourself.”
“Damn you! It’s not true. You don’t know a damn thing about me!” Inuyasha launched himself out of the water, batting away the blade at his neck, he snarled up into Sesshomaru’s face.
“Oh no?” Sesshomaru tossed the blade on top of Inuyasha’s clothes, freeing his hand. “I think I know you quite well.” He ran his finger over Inuyasha’s jaw before grabbing his brother’s chin and pulling Inuyasha up onto the tips on his toes.
Inuyasha struggled at first, but the bone crushing pressure on his jaw soon paralyzed him.
“I know why you chased after the first priestess and I know why you chased after her oddly dressed imitation. You reek of desperation little brother, for power, for love, for the littlest bit of attention. Well I am paying attention to you now and I am pleased so far.”
Inuyasha’s ears twitched. The anger that Sesshomaru’s words incited died with that final compliment.
Sesshomaru let go of his brother’s jaw, lowering the half-breed’s chin gently. He traced a finger up the jaw and into his brother’s hair briefly before gliding a finger over the pointy ear, causing it to twitch violently. “Yes I am quite pleased.”
Though Sesshomaru walked away at a normal pace, it was as though he disappeared instantly from Inuyasha’s sight, so caught up in his thoughts was he.
Inuyasha dressed in the soppy clothes and hurried back to his brother’s estate, his sword clutched tightly in his hand. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to kill Sesshomaru or not. With every compliment his brother paid him (backhanded though they may be) a weight was lifted off of his heart.
________________chapter 6__________________________
Days passed and Inuyasha didn’t see his brother at all. He knew not what Sesshomaru had in store for him. In truth, he was not disturbed by the slaying of Lady Miyako and her brother and that fact disturbed him more than anything. After his talk with Sesshomaru he began to doubt his quest for the shards and all his actions thus far. Yet he never felt that he was wrong.
In his life, he had suffered and he did not feel that he was ever cruel. He had killed those who would have killed him or others. Lady Miyako and her brother would have killed. In actuality they had killed already, according to Sesshomaru and Sesshomaru had no reason to lie to him. If he wanted Inuyasha to do his bidding, he did not need to lie.
Inuyasha was beginning to realize that he was being manipulated by his desire for his brother’s affection and yet he didn’t mind it. Sesshomaru was the ideal that Inuyasha wished to obtain. Every compliment Sesshomaru paid him gave him a sense of pride like nothing else in this world.
He wanted to see his brother. He was frustrated that the other was no where to be found, yet Jaken and Rin had been left behind as well, so Inuyasha knew his brother would not be gone long. He didn’t enjoy his etiquette lessons with Jaken, but Rin was still good company.
On this day they sat beneath long needled pine tree. It was cold. The air had a bite to it. Inuyasha was surprised the small girl would choose to be out in weather like this. She was humming as she chased squirrels and looked around for animals in the forest. Of course she was making so much noise that most of the animals stayed away, but since even bugs seemed to delight her, it wasn’t a problem.
Inuyasha sighed gazing up at white clouds on a gray sky. “So tell me kid, how do you put up with Jaken all the time. He must really grate on you when Sesshomaru leaves you behind like this.”
“Rin like Jaken, besides Lord Sesshomaru no leave Rin alone. Lord Sesshomaru leave Rin with Lord Inuyasha.”
“Well yeah now, but before I came to live here, he must’ve left you with just Jaken, a lot.”
“Rin always go with Lord Sesshomaru. Lord Sesshomaru take Rin on all his journeys.”
“Huh? Are you trying to tell me this is the first time he’s left you behind?” Inuyasha found this odd.
Rin nodded. “Because Lord Inuyasha is here, Rin can stay too.”
“Wait are you saying that Sesshomaru left you here cause he knew I’d look after you?”
Rin nodded. ”If Rin stay close to Lord Inuyasha, Rin will be safe. This is what Lord Sesshomaru told Rin before he left.”
Inuyasha felt numb with shock. For Sesshomaru to trust him in such a way was truly something he never thought possible. He would definitely not leave Kagome or Shippo or any of his other friends in Sesshomaru’s care. It was a great honor and he was touched with pride and happiness. He was now more anxious to see his brother. He felt excited with the prospect of being able to return his brother’s kindness. Whatever his brother asked of him next, he would not question it.
________________chapter 7__________________________
Inuyasha stood before his brother, in his brother’s bedchamber confused. Inuyasha had been informed by Jaken of his brother’s return and led to this room. He assumed that after Sesshomaru’s journey, he was tired and wanted to speak with Inuyasha quickly before retiring.
“The caterpillar clan has long been allies of the Inu clan. They offered their support, as always, and something extra this time. The niece of the head of the clan was offered to you as a future mate. The clan head said he would have offered his own daughter if he had sired any.” Sesshomaru spoke with removing his armor, apparently preparing for bed.
Inuyasha knew his presence here at this time was yet another sign of trust. Still he was unhappy. “Keh, now you want me to marry a worm with legs. There’s no way…”
“I did turn him down, though it was quite a gracious offer. The young woman was quite lovely, having already transformed into a butterfly, she would have been a fine mate for you. However I do not need to secure the caterpillar clan’s loyalty through marriage, I already have it.”
“So then what did you want to talk to me about?”
Sesshomaru kept on talking as though he had not heard Inuyasha. “I did not offer you as a bargaining chip this time. Your name came up on its own. It seems you have gained a reputation and now that it is known you are residing in my household, you are being seen as valuable. However it was never my intention to keep you in this household for so long.”
Inuyasha began to fidget. He had a feeling he knew what was coming next. He was wrong.
“Still you have proved useful to me. I have found your company does not vex me. I have decided to allow you to stay. However, I must have assurance of your loyalty to me. You can’t go running off if one of your human friends comes around calling. Is that understood, Inuyasha?”
Inuyasha nodded, before even thinking about it. He wanted to stay, even if it meant parting with his friends, he felt at home here. He could relax, knowing he was not always going to be the one to fight. He might be asked to do so by his brother, but he would not be responsible for protecting others lives constantly. It was a burden he hadn’t realized weighed so heavily on him. “I understand.”
“That’s not good enough.” Sesshomaru stood before his brother less than a foot separated them.
“Huh?” Inuyasha was forced to look up to see his brother’s face.
“Words are not enough assurance for me.” Sesshomaru grabbed Inuyasha’s hair and wrapped it around his fist, pulling it up over the dog ears perched on top of Inuyasha’s head. “Submit.” He commanded, applying enough pressure to make Inuyasha uncomfortable. “Submit.” He said again.
Inuyasha couldn’t look up anymore. He realized his brother was pushing him down, so he got onto his knees.
“More.” Sesshomaru commanded. “Lower.”
Inuyasha lowered his head, and then sat back on his hunches. It was not enough to satisfy Sesshomaru. He got down on his hand, and then pressed his forehead to the floor.
“Very good little brother. Now you must make me an offering.”
Inuyasha could think of nothing other than the Tesseiga, but that was gone now. “What do you want?”
“You own nothing other than the clothes on your back and I don’t want those. You only have one other thing of value. It will have to do.” Inuyasha held back a snarl. He had no idea what his brother wanted, but the floor was neither warm nor comfortable and he wanted to get up. “It’s fortunate you never let those priestesses take it from you. Neither was worthy and our family blood would have been diluted even further.”
Inuyasha remained clueless. He turned his head to glare up through a thick cascade of white hair.
Sesshomaru caught the look and smirked. “Do not worry Inuyasha, I will try to make this as painless for you as possible.” He then pulled Inuyasha back up by his hair and began to unclasp his hoari.
________________chapter 8__________________________
Inuyasha was frozen. He was shocked by his brother’s insinuations and felt he must be mistaken, but as his clothes fell to the floor and Sesshomaru guided him to the bed with a hand at his back, reality began to set it.
“Well Inuyasha?”
Sesshomaru seemed to be asking for permission. Inuyasha could feel the cold air nipping at his exposed body. He felt incredibly vulnerable and began to rub his arms for comfort as well as warmth.
He was unsure about just what Sesshomaru planned to do. He knew a little from Miroku but really he learned most of his experience from the wild when he chanced upon wildlife in their mating rituals. Miroku gave the impression that such things were quite enjoyable. From what he had seen, it was more endurable, but then how could you tell if a rabbit was having a good time or not?
He didn’t want to leave. He would probably never see Kagome or Kikyo again. He wasn’t sure if either was still alive and even if one or the other was still around, he still recalled the betrayal he felt when that arrow was loosed. It was one night. His brother had trusted him with Rin. He wanted to repay that trust. If this is what Sesshomaru wanted, then he would allow it. He nodded his head.
“You must say it Inuyasha.”
Inuyasha swallowed the lump in his throat and dropped his arms to his side. “I offer myself to you, Sesshomaru.”
Sesshomaru inclined his head in acknowledgement. “Very well Inuyasha, you may go.”
“What?” Inuyasha’s head shot up and he stared into his brother’s cool visage.
“You are dismissed.”
“You mean, you were just playing with me?” Inuyasha shot off the bed to stand inches from his brother. His head was suddenly throbbing.
“Calm down. You were only required to make the offer Inuyasha, as a show of your loyalty. I do believe you will be faithful to me from this point on. It is not necessary for me to take something that you are clearly unprepared to give.”
“You sick bastard! If that’s all it was then why the hell didn’t you ask for something else?” Inuyasha turned his head away angrily and noticed his clothes still sitting on the floor. He quickly made his way over to them and began to redress.
Sesshomaru sighed. “I would think that was obvious, if you offer something of no true value then the offer itself has no value.”
“Damnit you could have thought of something else! You could have asked me to cut off an arm or something!” Inuyasha snarled, ripping his clothes in his anger which just made him angrier.
“Oh? Well I’ll keep that in mind next time.”
Inuyasha’s head shot up and he glared. “There’s not going to be a next time!”
“Now, now Inuyasha, why so angry? I have left you with your precious virginity. I would think that you would be relieved. Could it be you’re disappointed?” Sesshomaru had gotten very close, very quickly again.
“Feh, of course not, I just don’t like being humiliated.” Inuyasha turned away, discomforted by his brother’s proximity.
“Really? And how exactly were you humiliated Inuyasha?”
“Are you kidding? You strip me naked and then have me offer myself to you like some damn girl and you don’t consider that humiliating?” Inuyasha fought to keep the tears from his eyes and out of his throat. It was all too much to bear.
“I am sorry if you feel that way, but I have seen you bath yourself in the past so there is no need for you to be embarrassed when I view your naked body.”
Sesshomaru would have continued but Inuyasha interrupted him. “What? You’ve watched me bath?” Inuyasha stared at his brother in disbelief, blood flamed his cheeks with anger and humiliation.
“I am not a voyeur Inuyasha. I’ve often observed you in your fights, in your dealings with those humans and in your private moments. I told you before; I make it a priority to know my enemies completely.”
Inuyasha mulled that over in his mind. He didn’t want to know just what other private moments his brother may have observed. He was still angry and embarrassed and he felt as his he had been made a fool of. “So you never intended to do anything with me?”
Sesshomaru hesitated, which Inuyasha found unusual. “I never intended to force you to undergo something that would damage you.”
“Huh? What are you saying? Are you saying if I had been more willing you would have taken me?” Inuyasha’s stomach felt like it had turned to lead then dropped to the ground.
“If you were willing than I think it would have been enjoyable for both of us, but you are still a child in many ways Inuyasha. I forget sometimes that time stood still for you for those 50 years. It matters not, the offer has been made, I may one day decide to take you up on it, so don’t fret little brother, your opportunity has not been lost completely.”
Inuyasha sputtered. His eyes grew large and wide in disbelief. His stood perfectly still as Sesshomaru leaned forward and kissed him.
________________chapter 9__________________________
Thoughts of things that Inuyasha had never dreamed of began to fill his head. He had begun to take up more tasks at his brother’s request. He journeyed to the border of the Western lands and made sure that the villages and clans under Sesshomaru’s rule were still doing well. He was a presence and occasionally he fought demons that wandered in and posed a threat.
He watched after Rin when Sesshomaru was not present and took his required lessons from Jaken. One rare occasions he would meet with some clan lord or village leader requesting assistance or making a complaint.
In his travels he had heard rumors of a monk and a fox kit. Soon he was satisfied that Shippo and Miroku were alive and getting by. He could probably catch up with them, if he so desired, but he truly felt comfortable at the castle. He did not wish to leave and he knew as long as Miroku was around food and women, he’d be happy. Shippo was looked after and as for the others, he knew that whether they were alive or dead, he could do nothing for them now, so Inuyasha resolved let fate decide if they should cross paths again.
His brother never made any advances towards him, but much to his surprise, Inuyasha found himself wishing that Sesshomaru would. He had never been with anyone. He may one day find himself betrothed again and he wanted his first time to be with someone he trusted. He had accepted Sesshomaru as his lord. His brother was now the person his world revolved around.
Now that the thought has been planted into his brain, it had grown into a tall wide tree that branched into his every thought and shed its leaves to drop more and more seeds.
He found his brother attractive. He found the thought of his brother touching him alluring. He wanted to touch Sesshomaru. He wanted to crack that stolid façade and see his brother’s face racked with emotion. When he thought about his brother on top of him, when he thought of Sesshomaru’s long silver hair draping over them, sticking to his sweaty body and trapping the air between them in a hot moist cavern of lust, Inuyasha found his stomach twisting and his groin aching.
Inuyasha was at first disgusted with himself. He broke his fist on the stone wall and smashed at least one chair to pieces, but his mind never quieted. When he lay down at night his body would twist on the bed sheets and his hands would wander touching his chest and lips. He would curl into a ball and try to go to sleep but it never worked. Finally he let his hands wander to his stomach, to his hips, to his groin. Inuyasha would touch himself and picture his brother’s hand upon him. Only then would he find a restful night’s sleep.
Sesshomaru was beginning to notice as well. Sometimes he would just glance knowingly at Inuyasha, sometimes he would brush up against his little brother in non-accidental ways. Recently he would stroke his brother’s cheek or touch his hand. He made it clear that it was Inuyasha’s choice.
Still it was almost three months before Inuyasha came to Sesshomaru’s bed chambers. However he found himself unable to knock at the thick solid doors. He didn’t want to wake his brother and anger him. Even if Sesshomaru was awake, what would he say? He didn’t want to sound desperate. He didn’t want to sound like a child. He wanted to be self-assured and confident. He wanted his keep his brother’s respect. He left.
He came back the next night and again left. He became frustrated with his own cowardice and the third night he knocked. It was a rather meek knock but apparently heard. The door was thrown open quickly and Inuyasha knew his brother had been aware of his presence. He suspected Sesshomaru was aware the past two nights as well. In fact, Inuyasha detected a bit of impatience in his elder brother.
“Yes Inuyasha, what is it?”
“I…” Inuyasha swallowed. He couldn’t turn back now. “I would like you to take me up on my offer.”
“Oh and what offer was that?” Sesshomaru asked with a raised eyebrow and cool demeanor.
“You, you mean you don’t remember?” Inuyasha could hear the squeak in his own voice. He wanted to flee.
“Don’t be a fool Inuyasha.” Sesshomaru grabbed his brother’s hair and dragged him into the room, slamming the thick doors with an awful crash. He then smashed their lips together. Their first kiss was gentle and light, this kiss was demanding. It sucked the air from Inuyasha’s lungs as his lips were bitten and gnawed upon. His tongue was assaulted, thrusted upon and sucked past wicked fangs.
Sesshomaru pulled away but did not relinquish his grip on his brother. “Your coyness was cute at first Inuyasha, but it quickly began to try my patience. I am accepting your offer.” Sesshomaru kissed Inuyasha again. At some point during the kiss, Inuyasha’s knees buckled. He didn’t fall far though. His brother had moved them across the room to the bed.
________________chapter 10__________________________
It wasn’t at all what Inuyasha expected but then he had no previous experience to base it on. Sesshomaru’s eyes changed without changing at all. They never creased in either joy or sorrow, but the way they followed every line on Inuyasha’s body and the way they glanced at his face, after every nip and every caress, made Inuyasha tremble with delight. Sesshomaru was constantly accessing and approving, watching his little brother’s reactions, repeating light touches that brought gasps and moans to Inuyasha’s mouth and always, always watching, recording, absorbing every new reaction.
It should have been unnerving but he knew he was pleasing his brother and that pleased Inuyasha. It made him want to feel more, so he could absorb the wonderful feelings and give them back to Sesshomaru through this new, intimate connection they were forging.
When Inuyasha’s kimono fell away and he lay completely exposed, his brother laid him down on the soft bed like a doll and stroked him with soft fingertips and trailing claws that just whisked over his skin. The touch started at his cheek and trailed down his neck, over his collarbone, skirting just past the darkened sensitive circle on his chest, tickling over ribs and then ghosting over the muscles of his stomach, under which tingles and jolts were already churning, past his navel, over the sharp bone of his hips, finally resting on the inside on his thigh, were the fingers lingered, drawing lazy shapeless designs.
Sesshomaru sat on the bed for a moment gazing at his brother then removed his own kimono. “You should touch me as well Inuyasha.” He leaned forward and Inuyasha propped himself onto his side. He tried to follow his brother’s path, but he wanted to touch the red demon markings on his brother’s skin. He did not know if his brother would allow it, so he hesitated, his fingertips hovered over the twin strips on his brother’s cheek. “You may touch me anywhere you please Inuyasha.”
“Sesshomaru.” The name was a whisper and the fingers moved, slightly, so carefully. He traced the stripes, they felt the same as the rest of the skin on Sesshomaru’s cheek. Inuyasha then sat up, reaching into his brother’s hair and began to run his fingers through the soft, silky locks. He had always wanted to do so, every since he first saw his brother. He knew this hair must be softer and finer than his own. It was amazing that something so delicate could reach such great lengths.
Inuyasha sighed, and then pulled his brother in for another long exploratory kiss. His hands got busy then, running over the muscles of Sesshomaru’s back, over his strong steely biceps, his firm chest and again he had to touch the deep red stripes on Sesshomaru’s side. His hands lingered there, stroking back and forth over and over until Sesshomaru gave an impatient growl into the side of Inuyasha’s neck, which was now red with bite marks.
Inuyasha’s hands stopped, resting on the tops of his elder brother’s thighs. He gazed down at the thick, hard penis of his brother. It was a red to rival the demon’s stripes and it pointed directly up at Inuyasha’s bulging eyes. Inuyasha wanted to touch it, but he knew how sensitive his own was and he was again nervous. He also knew that soon he would be taking that large penis into his body and apprehension assailed him.
“Inuyasha, I already told you: you may touch me anywhere you please.” Sesshomaru was taking his own advice. For a one-armed man, he managed to cover quite a bit of territory rather quickly. Mostly his languid strokes were centered on Inuyasha firm butt. His long nails casually gliding between the round cheeks and even glancing over Inuyasha’s opening.
Inuyasha was much more cautious. He made sure to keep his nails clear of Sesshomaru’s shaft, instead lightly caressing it with the palms of his hand. Finding it to feel much like his own length, he wrapped both hands around it and rolled it in his hands before stroking up and down. He watched the precum pearl on the head and rubbed the fluid around a bit.
Sesshomaru groaned into his shoulder and poked at Inuyasha’s opening. The half-breed stiffened. His hands stilled. After several moments Sesshomaru asked, “Have you changed your mind Inuyasha?”
Inuyasha bit his lip. A wave of nervousness came upon him and he realized this was his last chance to back out. He had wanted this so much only moments before. He wasn’t afraid of the pain. He had already been pierced by a purifying arrow and killed. He wasn’t afraid of his brother’s rejection. Sesshomaru wouldn’t kill him for this. However, he knew Sesshomaru still saw him as weak and childish. He wanted to disprove that. He was damn curious, but he still found it difficult to make his hands move. He accepted that his elder brother was stronger and that he had pledged his loyalty thus accepting Sesshomaru as his lord, but he didn’t want to be Sesshomaru’s bitch.
Sesshomaru sighed and leaned away from Inuyasha. “Well then, pick up your clothes and leave now Inuyasha.” The voice was calm, but the clenched fist and dark glare directed above Inuyasha’s head betrayed Sesshomaru’s agitation.
________________chapter 11__________________________
Inuyasha gazed down at his brother’s nude body. It was luscious, smooth perfect skin covering hard muscles and a delicate bone structure. It was the ideal he aspired to be. His own erection was pulsing, sending jolts into his gut and making his toes and fingers tingle. He wanted to possess that body. He wanted bite that skin and mark it as his own. He didn’t want to be coaxed and coddled into opening his legs like some farmer’s daughter.
Inuyasha knew what the problem was and he knew how to fix it. He may not come out on top, but he wasn’t going to lie back and squeal like a fresh virgin (even if he was one).“I don’t want to leave. I want to finish this.”
“Are you certain, Inuyasha?” Sesshomaru asked with a bit of bite.
Inuyasha didn’t answer, instead he pushed his brother to the bed and straddled his hips, nipping at Sesshomaru’s neck and trailing his claws down his brother’s skin, leaving trailed of raised pink skin. His bites left the imprints of his fangs and his nails scratched at the aureole of Sesshomaru’s nipple forcing the shocked full demon to arch his back. Inuyasha licked at Sesshomaru’s collarbone then dragged his teeth to his brother’s nipple, licking it, blowing cool air across it, then taking it into his mouth and sucking hard before flattening himself over his brother and trapping Sesshomaru’s erection against his stomach.
He moved his body like a snake’s winding from side to side, driving his brother’s claws into his back and howls from his mouth. The claws drew blood, all the way up to Inuyasha’s shoulders before Sesshomaru fisted his hand into his brother’s hair and pulled him head away from his abused chest.
Two pairs of amber eyes met and Sesshomaru snarled in obvious good humor. “So the puppy has teeth, but so do I.” In an instant the tables were turned. Inuyasha was on the bottom, and Sesshomaru was sucking and nipping and biting his way across his younger brother’s neck and shoulders and chest. He used his weight to pin Inuyasha down so he could lap at the expanse of Inuyasha’s abdomen and still run poison clawed fingers up his little brother’s penis.
Inuyasha tried to gain some leverage by pulling, scratching and wriggling, but he remained pinned. He was enjoying the flood of adrenaline that washed through his system when things got rough and now the bites and kisses of his elder brother were stoking a deep warm flame inside of him. He felt himself arching into the deadly hand that pumped him and he heard grunts and moans spilling over his lips. He damned himself for cutting of his brother’s other arm, for he was sure that he would be shouting now if it were still in place.
Inuyasha looked down but could see nothing but white. He thought that he could feel warm liquid falling onto his stomach. He knew that he was about to spill his seed all over himself and his brother, but the intense pleasure never came. Sesshomaru stopped his attentions and moved away, leaving Inuyasha tensed and trembling on the bed.
Sesshomaru took a glass bottle and poured something into his hands. All Inuyasha could really see was the naked flesh of his brother, now marred with raised pink streaks and oval red bite marks. Inuyasha growled in annoyance. Whatever his brother was doing it was taking too long. He moved his hand to touch himself and Sesshomaru growled back, pinning him under a deadly glare. “Patience Inuyasha.”
At that Inuyasha whimpered, just a little, but it was enough. His brother heard and rolled his eyes before setting the bottle down and returning to the sit beside his brother. “Turn over Inuyasha.”
This was the moment Inuyasha had been both desired and dreaded at the same time. He rolled onto his stomach and pushed his knees beneath him, prodding his backside into the air. Sesshomaru wasted no time. He rubbed the small hole once, and then pushed a single finger all the way in. Inuyasha shuddered; taking a deep breath he calmed himself. It didn’t hurt. It just didn’t feel very nice. Sesshomaru moved the finger back out and in, just a bit. He was mindful of his claws. Even a small scratch would be most unpleasant. He moved the finger some more, always in and out. Inuyasha’s breathing evened out, and a second finger was added. It was a little painful, he had endured much worse. It was just such an awkward spot. Sesshomaru repeated the process of pushing in and out until his brother’s breathing was normal then added a third finger. Again the pain increased and again Sesshomaru pushed in and out until Inuyasha’s breathing was calm and normal. He did flick the claw of his thumb over Inuyasha’s sacs once or twice to distract his brother.
It didn’t take long for Sesshomaru to withdraw completely and kneel behind his brother. He pulled Inuyasha’s hair off to one side, running his hand over the other’s back once or twice before pinching the furry white ear and warning, “Prepare yourself Inuyasha.” He pushed himself all the way in and stilled while Inuyasha pulled the sheets tightly into his fists. His nails pushed holes in the fine fabric and his face buried itself into the cushion. His small whimper was still audible. The rest of his body was stiff and unyielding. Sesshomaru rubbed his brother’s back with his cheek, his single arm completely supporting him. “Relax Inuyasha.”
Inuyasha tried, the taut muscles slowly loosened and his face turned to its side, sucking in air. Sesshomaru pulled out and pushed back in. He had to rest some of his weight on Inuyasha, it messed up the angle some and the hanyou’s body remained tense. He tried again, this time with better result. Inuyasha yelped and his body felt a jolt of pleasure. His dying erection came back to life. Satisfied Sesshomaru began to move in and out at a steady pace. Inuyasha began to respond with whimpers and gasps and moans that grew in volume. He pushed back onto his brother while the knot in his stomach pulled tighter and tighter. He was close. Sesshomaru could tell, “Touch yourself Inuyasha, finish this!”
It was a grunted, broken command that betrayed Sesshomaru’s desperation. Inuyasha pushed up a little onto his elbows so he could snake a hand beneath himself. His precum had soaked the sheets below his stomach and all he had to do was wrap his hand around his shaft and stroke once to loose the knot completely. Pleasure raced through every nerve frying his brain in a haze of white. He came to, still grasping his deflated cock, crushing it beneath him. His brother lay on the bed behind him, watching him. He could feel the sticky liquid on his hand and his stomach. It was on the back of his thighs and leaking from his anus.
He felt tired, completely drained. He wondered if he should return to his room, not sure if he had the energy to do so. He turned over and faced his brother. Sesshomaru had a look of calm on his face that was peaceful in a way that made Inuyasha realize that all the other times he had seen his brother’s calm face, he had been staring into a mask. “You did well Inuyasha. I am pleased with my offering.”
________________Epilogue__________________________
“Keh.” Despite the scoff Inuyasha enjoyed the compliment. “Does this mean you won’t be marrying me off to the next demoness who wants an alliance?”
“I can not make that promise, Inuyasha. I would sacrifice anything for the Western lands, including myself, including you. However I will admit that your offering has brought me more pleasure than any other I have received so far.”
Inuyasha was not happy with that answer, but he could see the logic in it. “Oh yeah, what other offerings have you gotten?”
“Hmm, well Jaken gave me all his lands, which if I had wanted, I could have easily taken. It was quite clever of him actually, because it put all of his people under my authority and thus my safety. Rin gave me her favorite flower.”
“A flower, that’s it!?” Inuyasha bolted upright, and then sunk back down, twitching.
“It was all she had to offer, and it was a pretty flower.”
“Keh! You’ve got to be kidding me!? You’re comparing what I just gave you to a flower?” Inuyasha scowled and pouted.
“I do not compare. Besides, you can not deny that you enjoyed this as well Inuyasha. It helped to lift the weight of those priestesses from your heart, did it not?”
Inuyasha frowned, it did make his relationships with Kagome and Kikyo seem less consequential. “Don’t make it out like this was something you planned.”
“As I said I would not have taken anything from you that you were not ready to give. You needed release from your past, Inuyasha. At first I thought this would be nothing more than a pleasant distraction, but your fear showed me that you were still hanging on to those ghosts. When you came to me tonight it was so that you could move forward down a new path.”
“Hmph, look Sesshomaru, I know it was my first time, but don’t make it out to be such a huge event, it’s still just sex.” Inuyasha didn’t want to talk anymore. He just wanted to sleep.
“Well in that case, we should do it again sometime, little brother.”
Inuyasha grunted, already dozing off.
________________Author’s Note__________________________
I never know how to end things, but this is definitely over. My goal was to write a story in which Inuyasha and Sesshomaru remain in character but end up in bed together.
My Fair Hanyou
by Polka Dot
