“Stop that” Inuyasha said out of the blue

“Stop what?” Miroku looked at him innocently.

“Thinking about that”

“I’m not thinking about anything Inuyasha. Why do you always presume I’m thinking about that?”

“Because you are”

“I am not!” The two have been arguing like this for quite some times, never saying the exact topic. The rest quit asking what it was they were arguing about. It wasn’t getting them any answers.

“Look just forget the thing Miroku!”

“I did until you brought it up!”

“Look if you never did what you did, I never have done what I did!”

“I didn’t want to do it Inuyasha if you just learn to control yourself!”

“CONTROL MYSELF! YOU’RE THE ONE WHO WAS-“

“Shhh!” Both men turned their heads to their friends who were sitting across from them with slanted eyes.

---Flashback---
The monk was twitching nervously in his seat, pulling at his fingers, and looking anxiously around him. He finally couldn’t take what was bothering him anymore and he got up, excused himself and walked off into the woods. Inuyasha watched him leave knowing exactly what was wrong. “Stay here I’ll go after him” he said. Without waiting for an answer, he sprinted off after the monk. He found him far from the campsite removing his robes rapidly. He jumped into the trees shielding himself from view and watched Miroku quickly remove his sandals and pants, sitting on the ground against a tree. Inuyasha watched as he started to stroke himself. Inuyasha’s eyes widened when the monk went faster, arched over and started to moan. He panted and whimpered till the hanyou got hard and unable to control himself. He jumped out of the tree and landed right in front of the monk making him jump and try to cover himself.

“Inuyasha!” The hanyou crawled to him with a mischievous grin on his face “What do you think you are doing?” The monk panted as his erection throbbed painfully. The hanyou leaned forward and caressed Miroku’s red cheek. The flushed monk closed his eyes and their lips met. Inuyasha slowly removed the cloth that Miroku was hiding himself with and started to stroke him, running his thumb over the head. The monk moaned into the hanyou’s mouth as he enjoyed the sensation of Inuyasha’s hands on him. The hanyou stopped to remove his pants and kimono top.

“Have you done this before Miroku?” The monk shook his head as he was placed on Inuyasha’s lap his back facing Inuyasha’s chest. The hanyou kissed his back and neck as one of his hands reached around and pinched a nipple. He kissed the back of his neck and brought the nipple pinching hand up to his mouth. Miroku licked at his fingers and Inuyasha put them into his mouth. “Suck, and make sure to leave them nice and slick” he whispered, Miroku nodded and obeyed. After Inuyasha pulled them out he lifted the monk and inserted two fingers into him. Miroku gasped and grabbed hold of Inuyasha’s arms. The hanyou made sure to make plenty of space for him as to not injure the monk. “It’s okay Miroku, since this is new to you I’ll be gentle” he whispered into the monk’s ear then licked at the golden hops that hung from them. Inuyasha removed his fingers and positioning himself at Miroku’s entrance. Slowly he pushed himself inside and moaned. The monk gasped as he felt something thick enter him.

“It hurts… Inuyasha”

“It may hurt for a while Miroku, but it’s only for a while don’t worry” Miroku monk whimpered and tried focusing on something else. A little later he felt Inuyasha start to move again. He felt something inside him being hit and he moaned. “See” the monk nodded and panted as Inuyasha kept hitting that wonderful spot which made such a sensation. Before long Miroku let out a scream as he felt his seed spill onto his stomach and moments later Inuyasha split his seed inside of him. They panted heavily clutching on to one another, the hanyou still deep inside of the monk. He slowly removed himself and collapsed onto the floor beside the nearly unconscious monk. Miroku turned to look at Inuyasha after a couple of minutes of trying to catch his breath but he was already cleaning himself up and getting dressed.

“Inuyasha?” The hanyou was facing away from him tying his kimono.

“What is it Miroku? Get dressed already, hurry up I’m not waiting for you” The monk looked at him perplexed for a moment but soon got up and put his robes back on.

“Thank you, Inuyasha”

“For what?”

“What you did, I didn’t expect you to do tha-“

“I didn’t do anything” Miroku was taken aback by the sudden denial.

“Inu-“

“Look forget it!” Inuyasha spun around and grabbed the monk by his collar. “You say a word about this to anyone and I will kill you” He growled then viciously let him go. The bewildered monk stood still panting frightened from the threat. He watched Inuyasha walk away leaving him standing there.

---end flashback---
They had stopped arguing to just sitting there ignoring each other. Kagome just had about all she could take of this nonsense. She stood up and balled her hands on her sides.

“Look! We are getting really sick of your stupid arguments! Either tell us what you’re talking about or stop arguing about it!”

“I’m sorry Kagome, we didn’t mean-“

“What are you talking about we Miroku! There is no we! We don’t exist!” Inuyasha yelled at him defensively.

“Calm down Inuyasha I was just apologizing for our rude-“

“THERE IS NO OUR EITHER!”

“SIT!” the hanyou smashed to the ground. “What is wrong with you!?”

“Kagome… It is best for you not to know.” Miroku said taking her hand and looking into her eyes. “Please trust me”

“Miroku please, both of you have been acting strange and it’s starting to worry me”

“I assure you there is nothing wrong, you know how Inuyasha is”

“Mmrrommku” Miroku looked at Inuyasha still his face buried in the ground. He went to him and for the first time he helped him up. Both Sango and Kagome looked at him quizzically. He never used to do that before. “Don’t touch me Miroku” Inuyasha said yanking his arm away from the hurt monk. Miroku stood up and stepped back.

“If you don’t want me to around you anymore because of that stupid incident Inuyasha just say it!”

“Go! I don’t care!” Miroku frowned.

“Inuyasha!” Sango yelled.

“It’s okay Sango, I’ll go”

“No Miroku he doesn’t mean it. He’s just…Inuyasha you jerk!” Kagome shouted frustrated.

“It’s alright really Kagome… I shall miss you and you too Sango” He said hugging her. Inuyasha looked at him from the corner of his eye. “Bye Shippo, Kirara, I will never forget you”

“Don’t go Miroku, don’t listen to Inuyasha he’s just mean” Shippo said clutching onto his robes.

“It’s okay Shippo I’ll see you again. It’s just best if I do go... Well goodbye everyone I’m sure we’ll meet again… Goodbye Inuyasha, I’m sorry for the discomfort I’ve caused you” Inuyasha did not respond he didn’t even look at him.

“At least say bye Inuyasha!” Kagome yelled. Inuyasha still didn’t respond. He sat there back towards everyone slouched over. “Fine be stubborn” She turned around wanting to wish him luck, but he was already walking away. Inuyasha stared at the floor with sad eyes, not seen by his friends.

“Why are you so mean to him Inuyasha!” Shippo said jumping on his shoulder nearly seeing Inuyasha’s watery eyes. Inuyasha shoved him off of his shoulder and jumped into the trees.

“Are you okay Shippo” the little fox demon nodded. “I don’t know what could have been so bad”

Inuyasha jumped into the woods getting as far away as possible from the group. He finally stopped and sat in a tree ripping the branches in his way and shredding them. “Stupid monk” He sniffed and wiped his watery eyes. “I don’t care” He sniffed again and punched the tree nearly making him fall out of it. “He can take care of himself… I don’t care” he desperately tried to convince himself. “Miroku…” he said sadly “I hate you!” this time shouting, frustrated. He punched the branch under him and it broke making him tumble down from it, landing on the hard ground.

Miroku walked not really aiming anywhere. He kept his eyes on the ground underneath him focusing on the grass and dirt. Desperately trying not to think about how he will never see his friends again. He felt something wet run down his cheek and then the same thing happened with the other cheek. He sniffed, wiped them away with his sleeve and shook his head trying to get it out of his head. He was so engrossed in his thoughts he failed to notice an arrow pointing at him.

“Stop right there monk!” Miroku looked up and saw a woman aiming the arrow at his chest. “Are you the monk who possesses the wind tunnel?” Miroku nodded trying to figure out how this woman knows him. “Drop your staff and all of your hidden weapons” Miroku just stood there.

“And why should I do that miss?”

“Do it or I’ll shoot”

“May I know the name of whom I’m supposed to be obeying?”

“I’m Naratishi, I serve under my lord Naraku. He sent me here to remove you from this earth. Now surrender!”

“I’m sorry, but what makes you think that I will? I could easily kill you with my wind tunnel if I wan- what!” He was suddenly surrounded by large demons with no way of escaping. The staff was taken from him and his arms were held by the two largest demons all in a matter of seconds. “Let me go!” He tugged on his arms. The woman laughed, and a demon came inches from his face. His fowl breath and disgusting teeth nearly made the monk puke.

“What are you going to do about it monk?” the demon breathed.

“Take him to Lord Naraku, I think he might enjoy killing him, himself” The demons shuffled forward dragging a kicking and struggling Miroku with them.

“Where are your friends, monk?” The woman asked without looking back as they walked.

“I don’t have any friends”

“Your comrades then”

“I don’t have any comrades”

“Don’t toy with me monk, I hold your life in my hands. Now where are the people that you travel with?”

“Leave them out of this”

“They abandoned you did they?” the woman teased. Miroku frowned and kept on struggling. Naratishi stopped and turned to face the monk. “Well, some friends huh?” Miroku frowned and she pointed the tip of the arrow under his chin. “That wasn’t very wise of them to leave you by yourself, you should have begged them to let you stay. You should have offered to become their servant and let you stay protected. Instead you left and got caught… isn’t that just your luck”

“They will come” he said more to himself than the woman.

“Ah… you keep thinking that until your last breath monk, that will surely keep you alive” she said sarcastically. Miroku growled baring his teeth. During their walk Miroku became such a difficulty making him half walk half drag, so they lifted him up so his feet wouldn’t touch the ground and tied his ankles together, but not without him kicking a couple demons in the face. They entered a dark room and threw him on the ground and tied his hands behind his back stepping on his upper back so he wouldn’t move as much. He was lifted up and made to sit on his knees bent forward. A figure with a dark hakama stepped up to him and he looked up into crimson eyes.

Inuyasha came back a couple hours later of feeling sorry for the monk, cursing the monk, and cursing himself. They decided to start walking where they saw Miroku was walking to since that was their best track to find Naraku.

“Inuyasha… don’t you feel bad about Miroku?” Kagome asked

“Why should I feel bad for that stupid monk” he replied in his usual stubborn tone.

“Because don’t you remember what happened last time he left us? He nearly died In-“

“Look I don’t want to talk about it just drop it okay!” He said angrily not wanting to bring up the topic again. Sango was furious with him for making Miroku leave. She hasn’t said a word to him since he left. Shippo was in Kagome’s bike basket also upset with the hanyou.

“But Inuya-“

“Enough Kagome! Miroku is old enough to take care of himself, he has his stupid wind tunnel to protect him that should be enough” Kagome frowned and walked next to Sango who glared at him. After a couple minutes of walking, Shippo spotted something shiny in the tall grass. He jumped from Kagome’s basket and hopped over to it.

“What is it Shippo did you find something?” Kagome asked. Shippo removed the grass and found a golden circle with two moons in the middle.

“Miroku’s staff!” Shippo shouted. Both girls jumped and ran to the little fox demon who was holding the staff and examining it. Inuyasha stopped and sniffed the air before running over to the girls and Shippo. “Yep this defiantly his staff, I’d recognize it anywhere”

“Oh my god, what could have happened to him!” Sango’s hands covering her mouth,

“Inuyasha can you catch his scent?” Kagome asked worried. Inuyasha sniffed the air.

“It’s faint but yeah I can” he said quietly.

“We got a lead then let’s go before we’re too late” Inuyasha carried Kagome on his back and leaped forward while Sango and Shippo rode on Kirara.

‘Miroku please be okay’ Inuyasha thought as he leaped through the grass catching Miroku’s frightened scent.

“Ah!” the monk received another hard kick to the ribs as he lay on the floor bleeding from his mouth, nose and head. He had been receiving hits, kicks and punches for a while now and he was nearly to the break of unconsciousness. His wrists and ankles where bleeding as they dug into the robe that was binding them. A handsome face came down to him to look at his watery blue eyes.

“This is much better than killing you on the spot. I’m glad Naratishi had the mind to bring you to me when she knew none of your friends were even looking for you” he smirked. Miroku panted heavily and couldn’t resist spitting at him. Naraku narrowed his eyes and the smirk left his face. The monk was yanked up by his collar and the back of a clawed hand smacked him hard making him bleed more. “you have some nerve” Naraku said taking a cloth and wiping his face. He then reached into his pocked and took out a knife. Miroku panted and whimpered as he knew what was coming. He felt that clawed hand turn him over onto his back and began to shred his clothes scraping his skin with the sharp blade until he was completely naked. “See I was just going to kill you but now I’d rather humiliate then kill you” Miroku whimpered as Naraku wrapped his hand around his throat and forced him to stand up. Naraku bent down at his chest and licked the blood from it. “Do you still think your friends are coming to save you?” He brought the knife down trailing it across his chest making a new wound. The monk panted and closed his eyes tears coming down as he felt the cold blade on his shaft.

“Naraku!” Naraku spun around and saw the hanyou and his friends standing at the doorway. “Let him go” Miroku’s eyes widened as he saw the blurry figures of his friends, his eyes quickly weld up with tears and he began sobbing.

“Ah…” He looked at the monk and sneered.

“Put him down!” Kagome yelled shooting an arrow and cutting the arm that held up Miroku and he tumbled down in a heap. Inuyasha came charging full force at the other half demon. Naraku effortlessly stepped to the side and Inuyasha missed. Meanwhile Kagome and Sango were cutting Miroku’s ropes and helping him to his feet as he was coughing. Naraku frowned, he planned to kill the monk when he was done playing. He put a barrier around himself and hovered over the floorboard glaring at the escaping monk and the two wenches who were helping him. Inuyasha took that chance to use his wind scar. But unfortunately it didn’t work and Naraku escaped making a hole in the roof in the process. Miroku laid on his stomach on Kirara’s back his hands and feet dangling down. Sango was behind him making sure he didn’t fall. He passed out as soon as he asked why they had come for him. Kagome pedaled fast keeping up with Kirara’s speed. Inuyasha followed them. They had reached a what seemed like a safe place for the time being. Inuyasha asked the girls to leave for a little while, while he cleaned up the monk and covered what he could. They nodded as he lifted Miroku off of Kirara’s back that now had spots of blood on it. He laid Miroku down on the ground and looked at his face.
“I’m sorry” he whispered, taking a cloth and dipping it into the cold lake dabbing it on his wounds to clean them up. “Miroku… Wake up” He gently shook the monk until he opened his eyes and looked at the hanyou. Inuyasha kept cleaning him up but didn’t want to do it when he was unconscious. He wanted to make sure he was okay. “I’m sorry” he said again.

“No… No need to be sorry…” he said gazing at him from his lap.

“If I wasn’t so stubborn… this would have never happened… I’m so sorry” he said with small tears in his eyes.

“I’m the one who offered to leave Inuya-“

“No!” he wrapped his arms around his bruised neck and shoulders. “Stupid monk… never leave me again!” he sobbed into his neck. Miroku’s arm came around the hanyou’s back and tried hugging him with as little pain as he can. Inuyasha let go and cupped Miroku’s face in two of his hands and looked into his eyes. “I… I love you”

“I-Inuyasha… Please… don’t say things you do not mean” Inuyasha frowned and placed a passionate kiss on his lips then broke off.

“I do mean it” He said as he dried the tears that leaked out from Miroku’s eyes. “I’ve always wanted to say that… even before that…thing that we did” Miroku panted and broke down. He has never been loved before except for Mushin and his father, whom he hadn’t known that long. Inuyasha embraced him cradling him waiting for him to stop. “Sh sh sh” Miroku shook his head as he sobbed he slowed down to harsh breathing and sniffling, still shaking his head. He pushed himself off of Inuyasha and looked down.

“No… t-this isn’t fair”

“What isn’t Miroku… Miroku, Miroku look at me” Inuyasha held his chin up. “What isn’t?”

“I…I p-promised myself… I w-wouldn’t get into a relationship…Inuyasha… I d-don’t have t-time.” He was breathing rather harshly. “I w-will d-die… and l-leave you” Inuyasha shook his head.

“No, we’ll get him before anything happens Miroku, don’t worry about that. I’ll kill him for you Miroku” he embraced the monk again and cradled him. After moments of complete silence except for Miroku’s sniffing. The monk opened his eyes.

“I do too…” he whispered. Inuyasha looked down and smiled. He gave him a squeeze in response and just sat there.

“Poor Miroku… Inuyasha better be apologizing his head off to him” Shippo said with his arms folded.

“That was awful… Did you see the blood on Kirara’s back?” Sango said watching Kirara splash herself in the water to get rid of the blood. “Naraku will pay for what he has done”

“The more reason to kill Naraku. Poor Miroku he’s got it worse than anyone of us.” Kagome said throwing a pebble into the water. “I dread to think what would have happened if we hadn’t gotten there in time” Sango closed her eyes.

“I don’t think he would be with us right now Kagome… Should we go back to see if Inuyasha’s done?”

“Yeah, I’m pretty sure they’re done” she said standing up, kicking the thing that made her bike stand up and walk it with Sango. “I hope he wasn’t hurt too badly”

“Yeah me too” They walked back down the path but heard nothing. They peeked behind a bush to see if they could come in without embarrassing Miroku. Both Kagome and Sango’s jaw dropped at the site in front of them. Inuyasha was bent down with Miroku in his arms. Both their lips were moving against each other in a heated kiss. “N-no… this cannot be…” they stared at what they were witnessing. After a moment they saw Inuyasha’s hand move down to touch Miroku’s penis, but quickly removed his hand when the monk broke the kiss and winced sucking in air through his teeth.

“I’m sorry!” Inuyasha looked down and saw some blood on his hand. “God I didn’t see that…” Miroku smiled weakly

“Yeah… if you hadn’t come right then I wouldn’t have that” he said wincing at the thought. Sango turned not really wanting to see anymore of what they were doing. Kagome held Shippo back so the little fox demon wouldn’t see.

“I think we should go back now Kagome…” Kagome nodded and headed back, not a single word was spoken between them. A little later Inuyasha came jogging.

“Come on, he’s decent now” he said the girls silently got up. “Why are you so quiet?” he said curiously. Kagome couldn’t hold her tongue.

“We saw you kissing Miroku” Inuyasha widened his eyes. “How long has that been going on? Is that what you kept from us?” Inuyasha just stood there shocked… how did he not sense their presence.

“Is that why you kicked Miroku out? Because you couldn’t stand the fact that you were gay?” Sango said coldly. “I never expected you to be a coward about anything like this and put a friend in danger” Inuyasha backed up. “Was Miroku’s flirting an act? Or did you change him?”

“No… It… It just happened…” Inuyasha said confused, “I don’t know what came over me… I’m… I’m sorry”

“Don’t apologize to us Inuyasha, Miroku is the one you should be begging for forgiveness from… Or did that one kiss make up for nearly killing him?” Kagome said in the same cold tone.

“No! I apologized! I love him!” he gasped at what he just said, so did Kagome and Sango. “I… I really do love him, I just didn’t realize it before” Kagome’s expression changed from angry to comforting.

“Did you tell him that?” Inuyasha nodded. “Does he feel the same?” Inuyasha nodded. “Then I wish you happiness”

“What!” Sango gave Kagome a surprised look. “You approve?!”

“Of course Sango if they truly do love each othe-“

“But Miroku is a womanizer! A lecher! He’s not gay!”

“He could be both Sango, it’s not uncommon” Sango gave her a sad look. “Then… What do we do now… we aren’t splitting up right?” She looked at Inuyasha and Kagome.

“Of course not Sango” Inuyasha said “I’m not letting any one of you leave, I will be always here to protect you” Miroku was leaning on a tree not far listening to the conversation and smiling.

Over the next few weeks they traveled like nothing has changed. Except at night when Inuyasha and Miroku snuck off into the woods. Sometimes it wasn’t far enough and their pants, screams, growls, and words of affection could be heard by the girls. They tried distracting Shippo from the noise, making up any excuse as to what was happening. It worked surprisingly. They came back both flushed and their hair messed up. Especially Inuyasha’s. Miroku almost always remembered to put his hair back into a pony tail so it didn’t look that messy. Inuyasha sat on the ground and Miroku between his legs resting on his chest. That is how they slept the nights they were camped out.

---Almost a year later---

“Inuyasha…” Miroku said quietly. Inuyasha lifted his head off the bed he was currently sharing with Miroku in a village they once again got into by Miroku’s lies.

“What is it Miroku” He turned to face his love and saw that his eyes were leaking silent tears. “Miroku, what’s wrong…No, no, no don’t cry what’s wrong?” Inuyasha sat up and pulled the monk close to his chest.

“My t-time’s up Inuyasha…” The monk sniffed. The hanyou’s eyes widened with fear.

“No… No this can’t be… I promised you NO!” Miroku shook his head.

“I c-can feel it… I just wanted to tell you… bye and I love you with all my heart” Inuyasha looked at his face and shook his head. He embraced Miroku not wanting to let go. “Inuyasha… I have to go, I will destroy the village if I stay.” The monk reluctantly got up and Inuyasha looked at him as he shut the door behind him. Inuyasha recovered from his shock and yanked the door open and followed the monk to a large clearing. He saw him pin the staff to the ground where they had entered the village and moved wiping an eye with his sleeve. He stood there and felt the void grow. He opened his eyes and saw Inuyasha standing next to his staff. The monk smiled at him sadly and he felt the wind circle him, picking up speed. Inuyasha stepped forward looking at his face wince at the pain. Miroku grabbed his right hand now more painful than ever. He fell down to his knees still clutching his arm. The cloth opened and the beads shattered. Inuyasha shook his head tears stinging his eyes. He heard Miroku scream as the pain coursed through his body. Inuyasha couldn’t stand it he leapt forward and held the monk. Miroku tried pushing him away. “No! you are too close! You will die!” He shouted over the wind pounding threw their ears.

Inuyasha held him close. “There is no place I’d rather be, if you go… I’m going with you” He turned his face up and placed one last kiss on his wet lips, before they both got sucked into the void leaving a large hole in the ground. The next morning Sango woke up, and discovered Miroku and Inuyasha were not in their room. She thought they had gotten up early so she just casually walked outside. Where Kagome and Shippo were sitting and staring at something, completely dumbstruck.

“Kagome… What are you looking at” Kagome didn’t answer her, all she did was stare. Sango turned her gaze to the thing that caught Kagome’s attention. Right in the middle of the entrance to the village was a golden staff that made light ringing noises in the wind plunged into the ground standing straight up and right next to it, also plunged into the ground was… Tetsusaiga. Sango plopped down to her knees staring at the two possessions of their friends. The sun rose slowly exposing the crater, the only proof they had that they were really gone…forever.
