A Love From the Past

Part 1
Kagome sat in front of the Bone Eater's well with tears running down her cheeks. In her hands was the now completed Shikon Jewel. They had killed Naraku. Kouga went back to the wolf demon tribe and wished her farewell. 'Kagome, I will always love you. If you leave here, I will find you.' The tears fell down her cheeks faster. Her eyes burned and her whole body shook.
Miroku's windtunnel had sealed up just after Naraku had been killed. Kohaku got his memory back and was reunited with Sango. Miroku and Sango wished her farewell also after their wedding and went back to the Demon Slayer's village with Kohaku to rebuild the clan and raise Sango's baby.
Sesshomaru, who had unexpectingly protected her durning the fight with Naraku, wished her well and thanked her for saving Rin and Jaken. 'Lady Kagome, for all you have done for me, I am forever in your debt. If you should every need me, I will be there. Also, don't let my idiot brother hurt you anymore.'
Kagome shivered. There was something in his eyes when he said that, that made her heart warm up. InuYasha had made up his mind to be with Kikyo. After Naraku was destroyed, Kanna used the last of her strength to give Kikyo a real body and a beating heart. InuYasha had abandoned her for Kikyo. 'I'm sorry Kagome. I will always care for you, but I love Kikyo more. She was my first love. Words can never tell you how much I appreciate everything you've done for me. No matter what, I will always protect you Kagome. You're the sister I never had.'
The Shikon Jewel glowed as her tears landed upon it. Her friends had moved on with their lives. Poor little Shippo had died in the battle with Naraku. He had died protecting Kagome and getting the Jewel from their enemy. The sound of foot prints brought Kagome from her thoughts.
Kagome turned around and saw InuYasha behind her. His eyes full of concern. He reached out and wiped the tears from her eyes.
"I'm sorry Kagome."
Kagome gave him a sad smile as she held the jewel up to him.
"InuYasha, what is it that you wish for?"
InuYasha placed his hand over hers and mouthed 'thank you'.
"I, InuYasha, wish to become a full blooded demon like my father!"
The light from the jewel became blinding. Kagome felt herself being lifted and pushed back into the Bone Eater's Well. The last thing she heard was Sesshomaru calling out her name.
