Listen To Your Heart
This is a one shot I made. And I just thought this song was perfect for it so... Here ya go and enjoy! ("Listen To Your Heart")
********************************************************************
-I know there's something in the wake of your smile.
I get a notion from the look in your eyes, yea.--
Walking down the sunset dirt road that would lead her to the village, she sighed. When would he learn? He never gave it a break. You could just tell he was up to something from the look in his eyes, and it strangely... made her feel warm inside...
--You've built a love but that love falls apart.
Your little piece of heaven turns too dark.--
Thinking about it now, when had she developed these kinds of feelings for him? What where these feelings? Feelings of caring, of having compassion. Then feelings of sadness and dread. What were these?
Did she love this man? Yes... she could say she loved him. She'd grown to love him over the years of travel. Then there was her. There was always a her. He kept going back to her. And that would set her down.
--Listen to your heart
When he's calling for you.
Listen to your heart
There's nothing else you can do.--
"Wait up!"
Turning she seen the man who played with her heart. His top clothing tied down around his waist from the heat of the day, sweat all over his body.
What a body he had too. It was a shame he kept it hid in clothing. Lust. There was yet another thing, another feeling she felt for him. What could she do?
--I don't know where you're going
And I don't know why.
But listen to your heart
Before you tell him goodbye.--
"Where are you headed?"
He asked in that loveable voice of his. The one that made her shudder and urn. Urn, yet another feeling she had for this man. She yurned to be in his arms.
"Around..."
Looking down as she answered, afraid to make eye contact with this beauty of a man. Afraid to look into his eyes of that wonderful color. Afraid... he could see into her heart...
"Well can I join you?"
Again he asked in his oh so loveable voice. Making her shudder once more. How could she tell him no? Then again, how could she tell him yes?
Smiling to herself, she nodded. Her gaze still on the dirt ground below.
"Yeah... ok."
--Sometimes you wonder if this fight is worthwhile.
The precious moments are all lost in the tide, yea.
They're swept away and nothing is what is seems,
The feeling of belonging to your dreams.--
"So what's been on your mind? You seem stressed."
He didn't know the half of it. How could he say she 'seemed'? She didn't seem, you'd think he'd know that. After all he's the one that caused these feelings inside.
Telling him. Would it solve anything? Would it be worth the heartache to tell him if he didn't feel the same in return? Dreaming this was so much easier. Easier in so many ways. But then... was 'this' meant to be easy?
--And there are voices
That want to be heard.
So much to mention
But you can't find the words.--
"Nothing, nothings bothering me." Putting up her best fake smile she finished her sentence, "There's nothing at all wrong."
That look. What was this look coming from him? A look that held caring, compassion, sadness, dread, lusting, yurning, and even... love?
No, she did not see these things in his eyes, in his smile. She merely wished she did. But then... why was this look, a look he'd given her a many time, sticking with her thoughts? Sticking with her thoughts and holding onto her heart.
--The scent of magic,
The beauty that's been
When love was wilder than the wind.--
A gush of wind blew by them, their eyes still locked. Her long hair blowing over her face, while his hair blew from his back. Closer. He had come closer. So close she could feel his breathe on her ear and neck... But he never did touch her.
"I promise you this, Sango. When this is all over, I'll make sure you suffer no longer. That you live happily and healthy. That you grow old with your love and have many children."
Her eyes widened at his words. He could. He did. He read into her eyes and straight to her heart. Something was running across her cheek. It was sliding and being tucked.
Once he had tucked her forest brown hair, he wrapped his arms around her. Holding her tight. And she, she returned the hug.
"Sango, I promise you all of this in hopes that it will be me you're with. Sango..."
He pulled away from their embrace and looked deep into her chocolate brown eyes.
"Will you let all of what I've promised... Will you let it be with me?"
--Listen to your heart
When he's calling for you.
Listen to your heart
There's nothing else you can do.
I don't know where you're going
And I don't know why,
But listen to your heart--
Her heart skipped a beat as he said these words to her. Starring into his purple tinted eyes, as if they held the answer. Or just trying to read his heart as he had done to her. She thought back to all the times in the past.
There was always a her. She didn’t think there ever wouldn't be a her. But now that she looked back. He always gave her that look when he'd go to another her.
A look of playfulness, as if it were a game. Was it a game? She smiled. Yeah, it was a game in a way. A game of the hearts. Of two teenage loves trying to win the other one over.
He. He would find a girl, flirt with her and then wait for her. Wait for her to come screaming "You PERVERT! Get back here!" Just so he could run off with her chasing him.
--Listen to your heart--
Smiling she gazed at him in all his glory. His sky night black hair out of its ponytail, to wave in the wind. Purple eyes gazing back into her brown ones. His purple robes a mess. His chest gleaming with sweat in the sun.
"Miroku... I..."
--Before...
You tell him...
Goodbye..............--
"I will."
At those two simple words his face lit up, and his smile grew in size.
"I will let you Miroku, be the one from which you've promised. But now I want to promise you something."
He stared down at her with question, as she stared up at him with glazed over eyes.
"I promise you Miroku. To bear as many children as I can handle."
Smiling pervertedly he leaned down and captured her lips. Gracing his tongue over her bottom lip in a plea for entrance. Laughing inside, Sango opened to give him access.
It was like a fairy tale. Cherry blossoms were falling all around them. The sun was setting in the back ground. A cool breeze kissed their skin softly. And a feature was looking back on them.
