Another Love

Chapter One


Kagome woke up with the sun shining on her face. She wiped her eyes and looked out her bedroom window. It had been five years since the gang had defeated Naraku. The thought of that day still made her heart ache.

Once they had killed Naraku, Kagome watched as Inuyasha went to hell with Kikyo. He had told Kagome that he loved her but his heart always belonged to Kikyo. As she and Inuyasha desended into the ground kagome ran for him but it was too late. He was gone from her life forever. Miroku and Sango couldn't believe what he had done and all of a sudden felt hate for the hanyou. When Kagome was about to go back through the well for the last time Sango cuaght her by the arm. She told her that with her brother dead she had nothing left here. She wanted to go with Kagome to her time. Miroku stayed behind to scoop out the local village girls and Shippo stayed with him.

Now, Kagome had finished high school, she and Sango had an apartment together. They were still like sisters. Kagome made her way to the kitchen and saw Sango sitting at the table drinking coffee.

" Morning. I didn't hear you come in last night. It must have been late." Kagome said while she poured herself a cup of coffee. She walked over to the table to sit across from her friend.

" Yeah, I think it was like one o'clock or something. But I had a really good time." Sango replied.

" So are you seeing Shiuchi again tonight?" she asked.

" Yeah we are going to this new club. Why don't you come with us?" Sango asked.

" I don't think so. I'm not ready yet."

Sango knew that Kagome still loved Inuyasha. It hurt her to see her best friend hurting after all these years.

" Look Kags, it has been five years and you have gone out what maybe two times. You need to move on with your life. Inuyasha made his choice. I hope he is buring in hell for what he did to you ,but I refuse to just sit here and watch you waste your life greiving over some stubborn, arrogant peabrain."

Kagome couldn't help but laugh at what she said. That was Inuyasha alright.

" Kags, you are going out with me tonight. So go get dressed and we are going to go shopping for a cute outfit."

An hour later the two girls were at the mall looking at outfits. Kagome had tried on twenty different ones before deciding on a pair of light blue hip huggers and a matching top that had slits going down the sleeves. Sango picked out a black skirt that had a slit going up to the top of her thigh and a red top that showed off her abs. They grabbed their purchases and headed to the food court to eat. Sittting down at a table they began to talk as they ate.

" So tell me, how did you meet Shiuchi?" Kags asked.

" Well you know that your uncle gave me a job working in his shop. Well, it turns out that Shiuchi also works there. One day, this is so funny, somehow the two of us got locked in the storage closet. I went in to get something for Mr. Hatanaka when he came in looking for something too. Well all of a sudden the door gets slammed shut and we were stuck. Shiuchi told me that he was sent in to get a box of receipt rolls. That was the same thing that I was sent in there to get. Apparently, Mr. Hatanaka thought that the two of us would make a good couple. The whole time we were in the we just sat and talked. Once Mr. Hatanaka unlocked the door pretending that he had nothin to do with it Shiuchi asked me out on a date. We have gone out three times since then and it has been nice. I honestly think that I am falling in love Kags."

Kagome almost choked on her soda when Sango said that last remark. Of course she was happy for her friend ,but she didn't want her to go through the same things she was. She just smiled at her friend.

" I am really happy for you Sango. Just promise me that you will be careful."

" Hello? I was a Tiajiya remember?"

They continued to talk as they ate and when they finished headed home to talk about that evening. As they talked the hours just flew by and before they knew it it was time to go out.

" I told Shiuchi we would meet him at the club. Come on Kags, you look great!"

They took a taxi to the club and paid the fare when they got there. Shiuchi was waiting by the door when they walked up. He looked up and smiled at the sight of Sango. Kagome studied the way that he looked. His hair was like fire blowing in the breeze. His eyes were green and sparkled when he smiled. But there was something else about him. Kagome felt a demonic presense around him. But he looked human. She over looked it at the moment and walked inside with the two lovebirds. Shiuchi lead them over to a table where four guys and two girls were already sitting. During the introduction Kagome got overwhelmed by the demonic aura around the table.

" Sango come to the ladies room with me. I have to check my lip stick." she said and grabbed her by the arm before she could get one word out.

Once they were in the bathroom Kagome checked to make sure all the stalls were empty. She then turned to look at her friend.

" Those guys are youkai!"

" Don't be silly Kags."

" I'm serious Sango. I felt an aura around Shiuchi when I first meet him and just now at that table the aura grew so strong that I had to tell you. It seems that your new boyfriend is a youkai."

" And in my old time I was a Tiajiya."
