A.N: Hi ho everyone. It's CA again. Hmm... an InuYasha fic. You're not going to be able to find Ana on this site anywhere. She's my eldest sister. Currently, she's helping me with designs, writing, and ideas for the story. This is an AU fic, meaning it doesn't really follow the story line, but goes of in a world all it's own. I'm just warning you right now, so no one complains. I will try making the characters as in character as possible, but being AU and my first InuYasha fic ever, that may be difficult.

I'll have proper links later. lol.
Rated R for stuff, and because that's the lowest rating on AFF. Eventually, I might be able to get it on FF.net, but my computer hates that site so it'll have to be through a friend.

Episode One : Two of a Kind
The sun was setting. A warm wind blew through the trees, carrying the scent of something lerking in the shadows. A soft mouth pulled back into a smile as a delicate nose sniffed the scent the wind brought forth. A soft laughter rang through the air.
"How purely intriguing. A hanyou... half demon... kawaii..." a female voice purred. A swift brush of air and the female was gone, following the scent in the wind. She traveled in a black and red blur, and soon had vanished into the trees.
Deep in a forest clearing, a dog demon sneezed. The group he traveled with looked at him with interest.
"Are you alright, Inuyasha?" a young female asked, rushing over to his side, her green skirt shifting slightly as she went.
"Yeah yeah... just had a feeling that someone was talking about me. Probably that damn mangy wolf..."
"Now now, Inuyasha. Koga's not all that bad." Kagome and Inuyasha. An unlikely duo from two different time eras. One was from the feudal era, the other from the modern era. The other members of their group included a young fox demon named Shippo, a demon slayer named Sango, a monk named Miroku, and a twin-tailed cat demon named Kirara. They were taking a short break from their search for Naraku and had settled in a clearing for lunch. Suddenly, Inuyasha sniffed the air as he reached for his sword. The rest of the group was instantly on the alert.
"What is it, Inuyasha?" Sango questioned, her hand closing over the handle of her Hiraikotsu.
"A demon... and coming fast."
"Could it be Koga? Think he could've heard you talking about him?" Shippo joked, stepping near Kagome incase Inuyasha decided to attack him, as usual. But the hanyou didn't hear the joking tone that was used.
"Nah... it's not him... it's a dog, and female on top of that. She's moving fast." As if to prove his statement correct, a black and red blur bounded right into his chest, knocking him onto his back. "What the fu--" A clawed hand closed over his mouth before he could fully voice his suprise.
"Hush now... quiet... silent... be good..." Inuyasha's mouth snapped shut. A woman stood from her place on his chest and pulled him up. She had long silver hair that seemed to vanish in places as the sunlight hit it. Her piercing green eyes studied Inuyasha as she quickly dusted him off. "My name's Lunarya, a demoness. And you are...," she paused and stared into his eyes, examining the golden eyes with high interest, "Inuyasha. A hanyou. Half dog demon, half human. Good."
Miroku chose that time to step foward and seize Lunarya's hand. "Sweet lady, I am Miroku, and if it's not too much to ask..."
"What ever. Don't care." Lunarya jerked her hand away, gave the monk a deadly cold look. "I'm not interested in the likes of you," she growled in a very throaty voice. She turned, sighed airily, and threw her arms possessively around Inuyasha's neck. "All I care about is Inuyasha." Unknown to them, a pale light formed around one of Lunarya's hands, which was idilly running through the hanyou's hair. Inuyasha slumped slightly.
"Hn... I guess you probably want to come with us, don't you." Inuyasha slipped an arm around Lunarya's waist as she clung to his arm, an oddly smug look on his face. "Fine. Let's go." They didn't see the wild angry flames that currently came from Kagome, Miroku and Sango did and wisely took a couple of steps away from the priestess. It was going to be a long journey.
Hidden within the forest was a village the wasn't really known about. One of the few villages that accepted demons. Basically the only village where demons and humans lived peacefully together. Inuyasha's group just happened to walk right through the front gate.
"Wow! What town is this!?" Kagome exclaimed, forgetting her anger for a moment.
"Rivete Town, the place where all is equal," a voice stated behind them. A small girl in a light blue kimono stood there. All of the group except Lunarya readied themselves.
"That girl... she looks like Kanna," Sango stated. The girl shifted slightly, staring at them, her blue hair falling over her shoulder.
"You are expected. Please, follow me." The girl turned and walked along a dirt path, heading to the north end of town. From the front gate, the group could see a temple standing tall over the town.
"I sense a dark and ominous cloud, hanging over that temple," Miroku murmered, clutching his staff.
"That is why Lady Setsuko awaits you. Evil has seized the temple."
"Good. I've been itching for a fight." Inuyasha grinned. Things had been going much too slowly for his liking. He was ready to have a bit of fun, and fun meant a good fight. The girl looked at him, her blue eyes narrowing.
"Only an excorcism is needed. No blood shall be spilt within these walls."
"Damn, there goes all my fun," sulked Inuyasha, crossing his arms over his chest.
Lunarya unfurled his arms. She slid inside them, and pulled him close, "I believe you should come walk with me and I'll show you what real fun can be. Leave all this boring stuff to the monk and the rest of your....uh... friends, I'm sure that they can handle it. Besides, I want to explore this town and I can't think of anyone better to do it with." She kissed his cheek, her lip had a faint glow, and Inuyasha's eye started to glaze over.
"Yea...sure, whatever. Anything's better than this," He put his arm around Lunarya's shoulder and as they started to walk away, she turned her head and stuck her tongue out at Kagome.
Kagome shot ice daggers with her eyes at the female demon as she and Inuyasha walked away. "Humph! Come on Miroku, let's go see what needs to be done at the temple and leave those two jerks to themselves." Turning to little girl, she snapped, "How can we help?" The little girl didn't seem too fazed by the priestess's harsh words. Instead, she pointed up towards the temple.
"Evil demons have overthrown our high priestess. We wish to save her from their grasp."
Up at the temple, humans and demons alike were gathered around the gate. They were all staring up at the dark cloud that hung over the temple. Hushed whispers drifted between them as they parted to let the travelers by who were led by the girl.
"Kenisha-san? Are they the ones that will free our priestess?" A young human boy grabbed the sleeve of the blue haired girl.
"Houshi-sama. Miko-sama. Two powerful beings alone, stronger together," the girl, Kenisha, said quietly. "But their group is broken, the balance thrown off... Miko-sama's heart is angry. She'll only make worse."
"Kenisha-san. You're speaking in riddles again." A tall male ogre said from the said, his coal black eyes staring at her.
"I am sorry. What I mean is that she is mad and so if she goes to try rescuing our priestess, her anger will blind her and blood may be shed." Several demons hissed at her words while a few of the humans shuddered and crossed their fingers over their chests. None of them liked the thought of blood tainting their peaceful town. Miroku looked at Kagome thoughtfully.
"Kenisha-san is right, Kagome. You are too angry right now to do much of anything. Please remain here while Sango and I go further in."
"Oh no you don't. You're not going in without me. And that's final!" Kagome fumed, waving around her bow. Miroku backed away, barely avoiding getting hit by the weapon.
Sango watched them with wide eyes, and then spoke softly to Shippo and Kirara. "Come on. Let's go find Inuyasha and see if he needs help, or something."
"What about Miroku? Won't he need help?" Shippo asked, staring up at the demon slayer.
"Him? He can take care of himself," she laughed. Kirara jumped out of her arms and started walking away, her little nose sniffing the air. As she disapeared down the hill towards the main gate, her voice called back as if to tell them to hurry up.
"Me-e-ew." Several of the demons in the crowd grinned at the small voice.
"She wants to know why you're not hurrying to find that Inuyasha," an elderly demoness chuckled.
"Thankyou, ma'am." And she too was gone, followed closely by Shippo.
