***One week ago***
“I told you Inu yasha, I’ll be back in a few weeks.”
“And what’s so damn important that you need to be gone that long!” the angry hanyou fumed.
“We’ve been over this, look finals are this week, and spring break is next, I want to spend some time with my friends. I’ve been here for four weeks straight.”
“No what you need to do is stay here and help me find the damn shards!”
Kagome glared coldly at him.
“Look I’m going whether you like it or not, I’m going.”
“Like hell you are.”
“Inu yasha…”
“What?”
“Sit boy…”
“Gah!” Inu yasha cursed as he went face first into the ground.
Kagome ‘hmphed’ and jumped into the well.
***Present***
Kagome looked out the window as she tapped her pencil on her desk.
‘I can’t remember anything from what I studied…’ As she looked at the clock her eyes bulged.
‘Oh man ten minutes left?’
Kagome quickly looked over the empty circles.
‘Iny Meeny Miny Moe…’ she bubbled in the remaining answers.
“Pencils down…Miss Hagurashi that means you too. No talking until I have collected every ones test.”
Kagome put her pencil down and sighed.
‘Well at least it’s over…’

Kagome opened up her locker and put her books in. As she closed it she was surprised to see Sachi standing there. She was wearing her green uniform and her blonde hair was tied in a pony tail. Sachi was from the US, but she had been here since she was 7.
“Hey Kagome! Ready for this weekend?”
Kagome smiled.
“Definitely!”
“Great! Me and the girls were planning on leaving around 8, we could pick you up at the shrine around quarter after?”
“Sounds like a plan.”
“OK! See you tomorrow Kagome.”
“Bye Sachi.” Kagome waved as the girl walked away. Sachi had been friends with Kagome for a little over 3 years now, she was a good friend, a little ditsy maybe, but well intentioned. Kagome was looking forward to going to the Cabin this weekend with her friends. She really needed a break from the feudal era, mostly though, she needed a break from Inu yasha.
‘Besides its only for a week… he’ll survive.’

“He’s never going to survive…” Sango said as she watched Inu yasha punch a hole in a tree.
Miroku nodded as he too watched.
“Sheesh it’s only been a week and he’s already lost it… Shippo said. Sango and Miroku both nodded.
“HEY! I can hear you know!!!” The angry hanyou waved his fists at them. Shippo jumped behind Sango.
“Feh! I don’t have to take this…I’m going to go and drag her back whether she wants to come or not!” With that Inu yasha ran off into the woods toward the bone eaters well.
“Wait Inu yasha!” Shippo cried.
“Kagome is certainly not going to be happy about this…” Sango could only imagine what she was going to do when he showed up on her doorstep, she figured it would probably involve a good round of sits.
“Hai…” Miroku agreed.
“Stupid Inu yasha.” Shippo grunted.

“Wait here Inu yasha…I’ll be back in two weeks Inu yasha….Feh! We’ll see about that!” He stopped at the well.
“You’re coming back whether you like it or not…” with that he disappeared into the modern world.

Kagome was tearing through her closet.
“Where is it?”
She knew she should’ve set her alarm. It was already eight
o’clock, Sachi would be here any minute.
Mrs. Higurashi walked into her daughter’s room and smiled.
“Something I can help you with dear?”
“Mom! Have you seen my sandals?”
“You mean the ones you wore last year?”
“Yes.”
“Under your bed dear…”
‘Duh! Why didn’t I think of that?’
Kagome practically dove under her bed and when she squirmed out she was holding a pair of pink and black sandals.
“Thanks Mom…”
“Breakfast is ready downstairs if you’d like to eat before you
leave.”
“If I have time, Sachi’s going to be here soon.”
“Alright dear, if there’s anything else I can do to help let me
know…”
“OK…”
Kagome put her sandals in her suit case and closed it. She walked quickly to the bathroom and grabbed her brush and toiletries. She pulled her hair back into a pony tail and went back to her room and poured the rest of her stuff into a smaller bag.
A Car horn blew from outside Kagome looked out the window and saw Sachi leaning out the passenger’s window of a large white SUV. She grabbed her stuff and ran down stairs and yelled a quick good bye to everyone. As Kagome flew down the steps Kashi, a girl in one of Kagomes classes, opened the side door and shouted.
“Come on Girly! We want to get there before Spring Break ends!”
Kagome threw her stuff into the back seat and climbed in. No sooner had the door closed, they were off.
Mrs. Higurashi waved from the top of the steps.
“Have a good time Kagome!”

Inu yasha jumped out of the well and sniffed the air. Kagomes scent was all over the place. Inu yasha relished in it. He could here children laughing in the yard. As he walked out he was greeted by Sota. Next to him was a little girl who was staring in awe at him.
“Inu yasha! What are you doing here?”
“I’m here for Kagome.”
“Oh…you just missed her. She left with her friends about a half
hour ago.”
“When will she be back?”
“Sunday I think…”
“I can wait till tomorrow…”
“No I mean next Sunday, they’re going up to the Lake Cabin,
they’re going to spend spring break up there.”
“NEXT SUNDAY?”
“Yeah…”
“Where is this Cabin?”
“It’s about an hours drive from here…”
“Where Sota?”
“North I think…”
“Damn…Sota is your mom home?”
“Yeah she’s up at the house.”
“Good cause I’m going to need a ride…”

Kagome smiled as she listened to her friends singing. It had been so long since she had spent time with her friends from this era.
She missed hanging out with them, just being a normal teenage girl, when the only thing she had to worry about was her grades and whether or not her room was clean.
“Hey Kagome did you bring any CDs?” Kashi asked. Kashi was older than the rest of them, at 18 she was a short girl with dark brown hair and green eyes.
“Yeah I think I got a couple of burnt CD’s in my bag.” Kagome reached back and dug out a couple of CD’s and handed them to Mahiru.
Mahiru was about 17 and loved Rock and roll, especially the old American kind. She was always going on about it. Her hair was short and black with green tips.
“Hey Kagome got any Aero smith on this?”
“I don’t think so…”
Mahiru pushed the cd in and skipped around until she found a song she liked. It was Usher’s burn.

Kagome tried to smile, but as the lyrics played she found her thoughts drifting back to a certain Hanyou. It hurt to think about him sometimes. She wondered what it was he was thinking about right now. She had a good feeling it involved Kikyo. Kagome looked out the window and tried to think about something else.
