Beep Beep ….. Beep Beep …… Beep Beep…..Be .. CRASH!
I sprung forward and slammed the off button on my alarm clock, then fell onto my back in bed. “7:00 AM already? Man that night went by fast.” It was the start of another miserable day here in Binghamton, and another day with an 8:30 class. I still couldn’t believe that they had integrated demons and humans in society in this day, much less that they had stuck my in a room with a human. It made me sick to my stomach, that such a high ranking and beautiful demon such as my self would be stuck with such a pathetic and disgusting human. I couldn’t help but think about the anger that flowed through my veins as I lay in bed. I stretched out, long lean muscles shifting into place as I got up and walked towards the door. Looking at myself in the mirror and admiring the beautiful sight before me. I stood just short of 6 feet, abdominal muscles perfectly cut, broad muscular shoulders and a chiseled back, long muscular legs and the beautiful silver mane of hair that seemed to cascade down my back. “perfect” The words just seemed to echo in my head. I got undressed and threw on my bathrobe, grabbed my towel and went to the shower. The halls were quiet, as only engineers had to wake up at such an ungodly hour. I can’t believe that I would ever come to New York over going to Loyola, a pure demon college. Even to this second I kick myself for being so foolish as to think it could be a good experience.
I walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower, letting it warm. It was nice to be able to at least take a shower in peace; that was about the only nice thing about getting up early. The water warmed my skin and soaked my long silver hair, bringing a little bit of comfort from the depressing state of the world outside. There I was, Sesshoumaru, Lord of the Western lands, and for once, the title meant nothing. “Filthy wretched humans” I swore quietly under the constant beat of the water. I worked the cleaner through my hair, making sure to get every last strand. The stuff didn’t smell half bad and it had a faint scent of sakura blossoms, like the ones that grew in the garden back home. I washed out my hair and turned off the water, got out and wrapped myself in my towel. I walked back into my room, my lazy ass room mate still asleep and snoring like a truck. He only had two classes a day starting at 12:00, and the type of classes that a 10 year old could pass. I put on a pair of jeans and a tight t-shirt; seemed to be the look here in America so I figured I might as well do a little to fit in. I was 23 now, as I had studied in Japan and had taken a tour to Germany to study, however it seemed like nothing was coming from it. I worked out of Japan and Acura as a designs manager, but I wanted to go back and become an engineer. I had heard the America had some of the best engineering programs so I decided I should try my luck here.
I got my books and walked outside to the dining hall. The sky was grey and it was cold as usual, with a cold morning mist that made every day so disgusting. A few human girls would always walk behind me, admiring me, but it didn’t bother me. They were pretty cute so I just walked on as if I didn’t even notice them. The dining hall was fairly empty, and the same girls still eyeing me. I turned around and they shyly looked the other way. “Hey if you’re gonna be staring at me the whole way down, you might as well say hello.” They started blushing so I just walked over and spoke to them for a few minutes, and in return they invited me to sit with them. I declined, knowing that I wouldn’t be allowed to eat in peace if I didn’t. I paid for my breakfast, sat down, eat quickly and left. The place starts to fill by 8:00 and I don’t have patience for all the guys who wanna kiss my ass and be my “friend”. I met up with a human girl who I had drawn a liking to on the way to math class. Her name was Kagome, and a fine girl she was. She was around five feet five inches tall, beautiful raven hair which to my surprise was softer than mine, a perfectly shaped figure, large full breasts and dazzling brown eyes. She struggled in math so she was always around me for help, and I sure as hell wasn’t complaining. She walked over and kissed me softly on the lips, and I pulled her into my arms. I don’t know why I liked this human girl so much. She was physical weak, unable to defend herself, and to top it all, a priestess. Maybe it was because she actually liked me, demon or not, and she didn’t kiss my ass or try to get my attention like the rest of the women around. Being popular was nice but at the same time awful, as everyone just tries to kiss your ass to get you to accept them, and it makes me sick. Fridays were always slow, but at least we had the weekend to look forward to.
I promised myself that I would show Kagome a great time this weekend, as my friends over at the Phi Psi house were throwing a great party. For humans they were pretty cool people, and we shared the same, cocky confidence so I felt comfortable around them. The day went by pretty quickly and I told Kagome to meet me outside the Union at 7:00. I kissed her goodbye and went back to my room to get ready. “Kagome, you’re going to experience something tonight that you’re never going to forget.”
