"Inuyasha!" Izayoi looked down at her small, puppy-eared son. "I told you not to run around inside. But you didn't listen and broke my vase."
The little hanyou looked down at his feet. He knew what was coming, and how much it would hurt. "I'm sorry Mama."
"Go get your paddle." She said in her sternest voice. He obediently did as he was told, he knew that hesitation would just earn him even more swats.
Inuyasha got the paddle out from it's hiding place under the floor boards. He didn't know this, but it had been specially crafted by Totosai for Izayoi at her request before her son was born. They had both agreed that a normal hand spanking wouldn't work on a half-demon child, he would barely even feel it. It was true, once his mother had tried a hand spanking and Inuyasha didn't cry or even flinch. While Totosai specialized in swords, he dabbled in woodwork and was able to create the implement that Inuyasha now held in his trembling little hands. It was a piece of hard wood as long as his arm, with small holes in the sides to lower wind resistance. It had been varnished so well that Inuyasha could see his face reflected in it. A handle wrapped in cloth for a sure grip completed it.
"Inuyasha! Come here right now!" he heard his mama tell him. Slowly he shuffled back, reaching up to give her the implement of his punishment. Izayoi reached down and started to untie the sash holding his hakama up. "I don't like doing this, but I'll have to spank you now."
"Yes Mama." He sniffled slightly and allowed himself to be laid over her lap, his bare bottom in position. He let out tiny sobs as his mother raised the paddle before bringing it down with a hard smack.
"OOWWWW!" He cried out. It always hurt real bad. Another landed on his small bottom, making him start to cry.
Izayoi frowned. She hated to see her baby cry, but if he wasn't disciplined properly he could turn out all wrong. And with his strength, he could do great harm to himself and others. She brought the paddle down again and again and again, until her son's bottom was red.
"Please SMACK Mama! I'm SMACK sorry! SMACK No more!"
His mother continued despite her son's pleas, until he stopped begging and lay still, crying hard as his backside was spanked raw. Seeing that the punishment had had the desired effect, Izayoi gave him three more extra hard whacks. She then set the paddle down and picked her son up.
"I'm sorry Mama! I really am!" He wailed.
"Shhshhshh. It's okay. It's all done." She cooed softly in his puppy ear. Inuyasha clung to his mother and cried into her chest. Izayoi rocked her little boy, and scratched him behind his ears just the way he liked it. After he calmed down Inuyasha cuddled against his mother, curling up in her lap and making soft puppy noises. Everything was okay now. Mama loved him.

"Hey mutt, where are we going?" Shippou said as he pulled on Inuyasha's hair. His behavior had gotten much worse recently, ever since he realized Kagome would never punish him no matter what he did. She just couldn't bring herself to. While at Totosai's to get tetsuiga sharpened, Inuyasha muttered to himself about Shippou and Totosai overheard, casually remarking that he had been the crafter of Inuyasha's paddle.
"I told you. We're going to see Totosai, he's got something for you."
"What is it, a weapon? It'd better be a weapon or I'll tell Kagome you hit me and she'll sit you a hundred times." the arrogant little fox stated.
"I promise you Shippou, this thing is yours, although you might wish it wasn't." The fox wasn't paying attention, instead taking a nap.
'Soon.' Inuyasha thought 'Soon.'

In the series, Shippou is given free reign. He could murder people and everyone but Inuyasha goes aww how cute. I just wondered what would happen if he were disciplined once in a while.
