“Is this what you call a camp?” Sesshomaru asked eyeing the small encampment.
“It works for us, your lordship,” InuYasha replied with a sneer.
“Would you two quit it already?! You’ve been at it since you agreed to a truce.” Kagome said exasperated.
“I only agreed because you wanted me to, not because I wanted to.” InuYasha retorted.
Sesshomaru eyed his half-brother and almost laughed at him. “You let your woman control your actions?” he said to InuYasha.
“You would too if you had this damn enchanted rosary on.” InuYasha said with a huff.
“I said knock it off!” Kagome scolded them, again. “I don’t care if you two insist on sibling rivalry or whatever you’d call it, but you’ve giving me a headache!”
“Sorry Kagome,” InuYasha muttered.
“Hmph,” Sesshomaru replied.
They all sat down around the small fire in the middle of the camp and ignored the startled looks of Miroku and Sango.
“Um, I don’t mean to be rude, but what is HE doing here?” Sango asked pointing to Sesshomaru after a few minutes of strained silence.
Sesshomaru opened his mouth to shoot a barb at her but Kagome cut him off, “InuYasha and Sesshomaru have called a truce until Naraku is defeated.” She said shooting them both a warning look.

InuYasha sighed and settled himself against the base of a tree to think. He didn’t like this so called truce with his demon brother. Sesshomaru had always hated him, why would he even agree to become allies when Kagome brought it up? He’s not exactly a team player. Hell, he himself wasn’t a team player. Well, at least not until he had met Kagome, and had been forced to be companions with her. But he had grown to like her company very much, even if they did fight an awful lot. He sighed and watched as Sesshomaru leaned back against the side of the hut that was almost directly across from him. damn him! he never gave the slightest clue as to what he was thinking!

Sesshomaru was sitting so that he looked like he wasn’t watching anything around him, but he was acutely aware of where everyone was, and what they were doing. He was deep in thought. Why had he allowed that girl to talk to him like she had. She was a mortal girl. She should fear me, yet she does not. It was probably because she figured either InuYasha would protect her from my wrath or she thinks I am like the half-breed. He snarled inwardly at that thought. How dare a mortal think of him like that. He was a powerful demon. He had killed countless demons, half demons, and mortals without a second thought. Yet he had a little mortal girl as his companion. He shook his head and looked at his younger brother. He realized the boy was watching him. He groaned inwardly again. He couldn’t believe he had gotten himself into this mess. How was he going to get out of this? He knew that InuYasha and himself were going to be fighting again the second that girl left them alone. A faint smile appeared on his lips. At least he didn’t have any spells on him. That girl would yell ‘sit’ at his brother and he would eat dirt! He knew his eyes had lost their coldness for that brief moment, and that InuYasha had caught it.

“What are you thinking over there?!” InuYasha demanded.

Sesshomaru looked up and met his brothers angry gaze, “Nothing in peticular InuYasha, why do you ask?” he taunted him.

“You never smile! What the hell were you thinking!?” InuYasha hissed.

“Nothing you would approve of, little brother,” Sesshomaru taunted.

“That’s it, I can’t stand you being here! We both know we hate each other, so just call the damn truce off now!” InuYasha yelled, as he stood up and put his hand on the hilt of his sword.

“SIT!” Kagome yelled angrily.

Sesshomaru had a hard time not laughing at his brothers’ predicament. That woman had him completely at her mercy! At least it was amusing.

“You stop it too Sesshomaru!” Kagome said turning her frustration to him. “Why can’t you two just behave?!”

Sesshomaru raised an eyebrow “I have no clue what you are talking about, girl,” he said evenly.

Kagome threw up her hands, “I don’t know why I bothered!” she said as she stormed off to the hut.

“Good going, Sesshomaru,” InuYasha hissed.

“It was not my fault, you are the one that jumped up and wanted to fight.” Sesshomaru said coldly.

InuYasha growled in return.

“I TOLD YOU TWO TO STOP IT!!!” Kagome yelled from inside the hut.

Miroku emerged from the hut, “What did you two do?!” He asked eyeing the two brothers. “I’ve never seen her this upset!”

Sesshomaru turned his head to the monk’s words.

“I’m going for a walk,” InuYasha said as he turned to leave.

Sesshomaru stood a few minutes later and walked off in the same direction that InuYasha had.

“WHAT?! Where did they go?!” Kagome cried when she walked back out of the hut a few minutes later .

“I thought it was best if they left you alone for a bit Kagome,” Miroku explained, “They were getting on your nerves so much, and there's not a lot you can do to Sesshomaru for it either.”

Kagome sighed, “I know, but I don’t want them fighting so much, they’re brothers. They shouldn’t hate each other like they do.”

“I agree, but there’s a lot of bad blood between them, it probably won’t just dissipate into nothingness just because they agreed to a cease fire.” Miroku said thoughtfully.

Kagome sighed and sat down next to the fire. She looked like she was deep in thought and then she moved to make some tea.

“Let me get that for you Kagome,” Miroku said taking the kettle from her.

“Thanks Miroku,” Kagome said with a sigh. She leaned back, and gazed at the stars.

After a little while she drifted to sleep. When she woke again Miroku was inside the hut and the kettle was on the fire. Kagome yawned and went to make a cup of it when she heard hushed voices coming closer.

“I do not care what you believe, you are under her control!” Sesshomaru said

“I am not,” InuYasha declared, “ I just like her, so I try not to make her mad, it just doesn’t work.”

Kagome wondered what had brought those to being civil to each other. Then she heard Sesshomaru say, “You must like her, she has got a temper that matches yours.”

“Why you! I’m gonna beat the stuffing out of you!” InuYasha yelled as he chased his brother back to camp.

They both stopped short when they saw Kagome looking at them with a wide-eyed incredulous look on her face. “What’s going on?” Kagome asked suspiciously.

“Nothing,” both brothers said at the same time.

InuYasha laughed and asked, “ So what’s in the kettle Kagome?”

“Um.. Miroku made tea earlier, but I fell asleep, and apparently so did he,” She said pointing to the hut.

“Is it any good?” InuYasha asked.

“Here, try it,” Kagome said handing him a cup. “You can have some too Sesshomaru,” she said holding a glass out to him as well.

He eyed it wearily then accepted the hot tea.

They all sat in silence while they drank the tea. Suddenly Sesshomaru grew uneasy.

“What did the monk put in this?” he asked.

“I don’t know,” Kagome answered, “I fell asleep.”

“What’s the matter Sesshomaru?” InuYasha asked as Sesshomaru stood up.

“I don’t trust the monk, and I don’t trust this tea, and I don’t trust you!” he snarled.

Kagome’s eyes grew wide as she watched Sesshomaru’s mask of cold disappear and a new angry one replaced it.

InuYasha jumped up and moved closer to Kagome, “There’s nothing wrong with the tea you stupid demon.” He said his voice caught between anger and confusion. “What makes you think that there’s something wrong with it anyway?”

“Don’t you feel it?” Sesshomaru asked.

“Feel what?” InuYasha asked.

Just then they heard Narkau’s saniyosho buzzing away from them.

“Damnit!” InuYasha said! “What were those bugs doing here?”

“I have a sneaking suspicion they have something to do with the tea,” Sesshomaru said in his even tone.

“What did they do to the tea?!” Kagome sputtered as she looked at her half empty glass.

“You don’t want to know,” Sesshomaru said as he grabbed InuYasha by the arm and said, “Follow me.”

“Hey!” InuYasha said defiantly, “ I can walk on my own just fine, you don’t need to drag me behind you!” he snapped.

“Then keep up!” Sesshomaru hissed.

“Where are we going?” InuYasha asked.

“Away from Kagome,” Sesshomaru said in a hushed voice.

“Huh? Wait, why?” InuYasha asked.

After they had traveled a few more yards Sesshomaru asked, “You honestly cannot feel the effects of that tea yet?”

“What effects are you talking about?” InuYasha asked.

Sesshomaru eyed him, and said, “ Damn human blood, it does not take effect quite as fast in you or Kagome does it?”

“What are you…” InuYasha trailed off as the potency of the tea crashed into him. He turned to face Sesshomaru, “What is in the tea?!” he asked as his face paled.

“I believe it is a potent aphrodisiac,” Sesshomaru said.

“But why would Naraku do this?!” InuYasha asked as he fought the urges his body presented to his mind.

“Is it not obvious?” Sesshomaru asked, “ he wants to see us all squirm, what a better way to do it than this?”

“Oh, I get it,” InuYasha said.

They were both startled when they heard Kagome’s voice quite close to them, “Hey! Why did you two run off again?! What are you up to?”

“K-Kagome, go back now!” InuYasha yelled to her.

“No way,” she told him as she got closer. “You two owe me answers!”

“You’ll have your answers soon enough, girl,” Sesshomaru hissed. “Do like InuYasha said and go back to the camp.”

“No, not until you tell me what’s going on!” Kagome insisted.

The two brothers looked at each other, neither wanted to admit to Kagome that Naraku had deceived them both, and they were now his pawns. Sesshomaru finally broke the silence, “Kagome, you must go back. It is not safe for you to be near either one of us right now,” he said.

“Why not?” Kagome asked as she looked from one brother to the other, “What’s going on? Why wont you tell me?”

“Kagome,” InuYasha said as he looked her in the eye, “Sesshomaru is right. It is dangerous for you to be near us. That tea was laced with something, and we think it was Narkau’s doing. If we are right, then you are in danger.”

Kagome’s eyes grew wide, “Danger? What kind of danger?”

“We are fairly certain that he placed an aphrodisiac in the tea,” Sesshomaru said softly.

It took a second before it registered in her mind. “Oh!” Kagome exclaimed, then she got a puzzled look on her face. “How did you guys figure this out?”

“Take a wild guess!” Sesshomaru snapped as he started to walk away.

“Wait! Don’t you guys dare just leave me here!!” Kagome cried reaching for InuYasha’s shoulder.

“Don’t you get it?!” InuYasha fumed. “Naraku is playing us all for fools, and this is already hard enough without you being here.”

Kagome drew back, and bit her lip. “You don’t want me around?” she asked in a small voice.

InuYasha felt a stab of pain as her words reached his ears. “No, it’s not that at all Kagome, it’s just…um...” he trailed off.

“If you stay here much longer we won’t be able to control ourselves,” Sesshomaru said softly.

“But,” Kagome said, “it’s not fair!”

Both brothers looked at her quizzically. “What do you mean Kagome?” InuYasha asked.

“You two want to run off and leave me to suffer!” she said close to tears. “Do you guys dislike me that much?”

“That wasn’t what we meant,” InuYasha said as he dared to allow his body to pull her into a hug. “You know the power of aphrodisiacs, we didn’t think you’d want to be involved in this,” He whispered.

“Kagome, if you stay with us, it will just be harder to resist the drugs,” Sesshomaru said and then quietly added, “it is nothing personal.”

Kagome smiled up at him, “I’m glad to hear that,” she said, “but I’d like to stay with the both of you, no matter what happens I feel safer with the two of you.”

“You might not think that in a few minutes,” Sesshomaru said.

Kagome looked defiantly at him, “No matter what happens, I won’t ever think any different,” she said.

“Kagome?” InuYasha whispered; “Are you sure about that?” he asked.

Kagome snuggled closer to him and assured him that this is where she wanted to be. Her scent was intoxicating to him, he couldn’t help but to lift her face up to his and lightly kiss her. To his immense joy she kissed him back.

Sesshomaru groaned, “Come on you two,” he said, “we need to find a better place than this. Even if Naraku wants to see us squirm, I am not going to give him a free show, and you two should not either.”

Kagome blushed and InuYasha nodded. “So where do you suggest we go?” InuYasha asked.

“Follow me,” Sesshomaru said as he led them to a cave that wasn’t very deep, but had two chambers and only one way in and out. “There,” he said pointing. “Kagome go inside, InuYasha, help me seal the cave off.”

Kagome had lit a fire when InuYasha and Sesshomaru pushed a boulder in front of the cave entrance, sealing the three of them inside.

The effects of the tea had taken over Kagome’s body by now, both brothers knew it. Not only could they both clearly smell the effects the drugs were having on her body, but she had curled up against a wall, and was hugging her knees to her chest in a vain attempt to block the drugs effects on herself.

InuYasha flopped down next to the fire and Sesshomaru leaned against another wall.

After a few minutes of silence InuYasha had had enough of his problem. He stalked off towards the other chamber mumbling things to his self.

After a few seconds Sesshomaru followed his brother. Moving too fast for Kagome to tell what way he had really went.

Sesshomaru easily caught up to his younger bother. “You shouldn’t have let her come along,” he whispered into InuYasha’s velvety ear.
“I had no choice,” InuYasha sighed as he shrugged out of his kimono top. He was cursing Naraku for doing this to him; his body was engulfed in invisible flames.

Sesshomaru moved closer to him and pinned him against a dark corner. “What are you doing?” InuYasha asked.

“Fixing problems,” Sesshomaru said as he lowered his lips to InuYashas.

InuYasha felt the invisible flames spike when Sesshomaru kissed him; his body liked it, and he was sure Sesshomaru’s did as well, since he had started it.

Sesshomaru deepened the kiss and InuYasha returned it to him. He felt Sesshomaru’s hands slide down his chest. InuYasha slid one arm around Sesshomaru's back, and tangled the other one into the long silken locks of his brother.

Sesshomaru nibbled and kissed his way down the side of InuYasha’s face; then trailed down his jaw and neck. He stopped at his shoulder and repeated his actions up the other side of InuYasha’s body before he lifted his head to lick the edge of InuYasha’s sensitive ear. A shiver ran down InuYasha’s body. Sesshomaru smiled at the response he had gotten, and did it again. A small moan escaped InuYasha’s lips as Sesshomaru licked and nibbled on his other ear.

InuYasha’s body was drowning in the invisible flames, and every time Sesshomaru touched him he felt the flames grow higher and hotter. He felt Sesshomaru’s soft lips trail down to his shoulder and down his chest. He licked one of InuYasha’s nipples and InuYasha felt his breath catch in his throat. Sesshomaru gave him a light bite and InuYasha felt his body arch into Sesshomaru’s touch.

Suddenly Sesshomaru pulled away and said, “Don’t move,” before he disappeared into the dark. InuYasha heard him whispering and realized that Kagome must have followed them again. He shuddered to think of what she was thinking right now. She probably hated both of them now. He sighed and felt himself blush.

A few seconds later Sesshomaru came back, and his golden eyes were sparkling with amusement. “Look InuYasha,” he said softly, “she liked what she saw.”

InuYasha’s eyes had adjusted to the dark cave and he saw that Kagome had indeed enjoyed what she saw. Sesshomaru was holding her so that she couldn’t move her arms from where she had placed them., he had managed to wrap his arms around her before she had had a chance to move. One was under her shirt and the other was inside the waist of he skirt. She was blushing furiously against Sesshomaru’s pale skin. He released her and stepped back, “InuYasha, you should enjoy her while she’s being so nice,” he teased.

Kagome tried to get angry with him, but couldn’t. “InuYasha?” she whispered.

He reached out and pulled her close. He couldn’t help but lick her fingers. Then he kissed her exposed neck and then moved to her lips.
