chapter 1
Authors Note: So yeah this is my first story up on here, and let me tell you, this is about the 4th try on getting the first chapter up, but I'm glad its up here and I hope you guys enjoy it.

It was supposed to be a regular mission. Go in, rough up the bad guys a bit, and make a clean get away. Nobody knew it, but this time will be different, yes, this time old lives will be lost, and new lives will begin, and history will be made.
Inuyasha parked a block away from the Naraku Corp building, nothing is worse than trying to make a clean get away and being fenced in. He had checked all the blue prints for the building, and studied numerous models, he was ready. Slipping into an alley Inuyasha found what he was looking for, a sewer would serve as a passage to get onto the grounds unnoticed. Crawling in the damp muggy smell was enough to make anyone choke, even more so him due to his demon senses, he wanted nothing more than to breath the air from above.

"Ms Higurashi, Mr. Naraku will see you now."
Kagome looked up from her Us Weekly magazine the waiting room had provided. She was here to complete the last 6 months of her college education, personally invited by Mr. Naraku himself to be an intern. She had no idea why she was given such a privilege, her work was considered average, and Naraku Corp was definitely an above average company, but never the less who would pass up such an opportunity?
"Take the elevator to my left to the 14th floor, when you get there you will know where to go once the doors open."
The receptionist's voice was nothing to be desired, it was rather annoying, but Kagome kept her smile, and nodded a thank you as she disappeared into the elevator.

Slipping into the building, Inuyasha remained unseen, security was always tight when he dealt with the big business type, but this was important, Naraku was after what was rightfully his, other than murder Inuyasha was prepared to do anything necessary to sway Naraku's interests.
Prying the elevator doors open, he waited for his opportune moment, he needed to make it to the 14th floor, and the main elevator was the only safe choice. Seeing the right moment he made a jump for it, and landed soundlessly on the roof of the elevator, unnoticed by any of the occupants.

The doors opened and Kagome saw the receptionist wasn't kidding, in front of her was a decorative hallway with a door at the end, it was the only place to go. 'This is nice' she thought to herself as she made her way to the door. Not wanting to just walk in she knocked and waited for an answer. When there was none she made a move to knock again but door opened and she let herself in.
"Have a seat Ms. Higurashi" Naraku's voice was calm, and cool.
Kagome became a little nervous, but she ignored the voice in the back of her head the one that told her to back out of the room and get away. She was too interested in why she had been personally asked for by Mr. Naraku, after all she was just an average student.
"Now...Kagome is it?" He spoke still facing the other direction increasing Kagome's nervousness.
"Ye...yes Mr...Naraku?" she stammered.
"Ms. Hig....Kagome, you seem to have something I want, and quite frankly I will have it, and nothing, and I really do mean nothing will stand in my way." Kagome was confused, what could he be talking about, she really had nothing to offer him, so what else could there be?
"Mr...Naraku not to make myself sound undesirable for your company, but I see myself as just and average student at the University, and I did not think I met the standards your company required for their interns."
Kagome's little speech brought a slight sickening smile to his lips, it almost made him want to laugh.
"You are right you are but an average student at your petty little university, and quite honestly your "averageness" wouldn't even be considered, but your academics are not what you were called here for, you were brought for an entirely different purpose."
"What is it you want me for then?" Naraku's comment stung but Kagome's curiosity got the best of her even though the voice that she was trying to ignore kept getting louder.
Naraku began to laugh, this girl was so innocent, he would enjoy ruining her. It wasn't her he wanted, he wanted what was inside of her, and he would have it even if he had to rip it out of her himself.
"Do you really not know what I want?" He place his finger under her chin and lifted, he wanted to look into her eyes. Kagome shook her head a little indicating a "no" this brought another slight and disturbing smile to his face.
"Silly girl" He trailed his fingers down her throat, just as Kagome opened her mouth to speak Naraku latched onto her neck and lifted her out of her seat. "THE SHIKON JEWEL!" he roared into her face.
Kagome had no time to think, she had no energy to struggle as she felt the end, her world went black.
