She's running through the flowers' chasing butterflies. So carefree. So innocent.
I hate her for that.
She is everything I never had, everything I'll never have.
She is all of those little brats who tormented me as a child.
I emerge from the bushes, smiling.
"Hi." she runs up to me, smiling. So trusting.
That toad starts to squawk in it's irritating voice. A quick glare silences him.
"Your name is Rin, right?"
"Yep." she still smiles.
"Are you here all by yourself?"
That toad is talking again. Another warning glare shuts him up.
"Uh-hu. It's just Rin and Jaken-sama and Ah-Un."
"But were is Sesshomaru?"
"Sesshomaru-sama is out looking for a bad youkai called Naraku. He won't be back for days."
The toad starts to speak again. Enough is enough. I move so fast I don't think even Sesshomaru could've seen me. The toad is dead before it hits the ground.
She screams, and the dragon charges me. I easily cleave it in half. Now it looks like the corpses of two one-headed dragons.
She tries to run, but I am much faster. I grab her and hold her still, turning her to face me. She is crying.
"Let me tell you something about your precious Sesshomaru-sama. He has hunted and tortured me since before I was your age. And do you know why?"
She doesn't respond. Just stares at me with those innocent eyes. I shake her.
"Do you know why?"
"No."
"Because I am a hanyou. I'm an abomination to him. I don't deserve to live. I didn't ask to be born. But he still blames me for something I had no control over. Now I ask you, is that fair?"
She looks at me. Those eyes are filled with tears, mocking me. I'm done being mocked.
Her cheek glows red, bruised from the impact of my hand.
"I asked you a question!"
"No. No it's not fair."
"Good. Now, Sesshomaru should be punished for what he has done to me, shouldn't he?"
She nods quickly. Such a smart child.
And Sesshomaru will be punished. Not just him, but everyone who has harmed or mocked me.
Kouga. That arrogant wolf. I'm going to tear off his legs so he can't run. Latter I'll eat his heart and slaughter his pack.
Shippou. I avenged his father and saved his life so many times. But he insults me every chance he gets. That little brat will learn respect. Fear and pain are great teachers.
Kagome. If she had just given me the jewel, none of this would have happened. Instead she broke it and sits me every chance she gets. If she does that again, I'll rip her tongue out. Or the brat's head off.
But all in good time. Right now, someone has to pay for Sesshomaru's crimes.
