Chapter 1
Clouds covered the sun, casting a dark, greenish shadow accross the land below. Rays of sunlight pushed through spots of the clouds, giving parts of the the Earth an etherial glow that was threataned to be taken over by the darkness. The strong winds plucked at the green leaves of tall trees, pulling the thick branches down towards the ground with a loud creak and moan. The wind itself seemed to whistle as it tossed about between the leaves of the tall trees.
A loud crack, metal against metal, sounded through the whistle of the wind, breaking the natural noise that rang through the forest. The echo of the clang continued on for miles, reverberating off the far mountains to the East, and ringing back to the ears of the two fighting demons. Another clang sounded as a sword was parried, and it was quickly followed by a succesion of brutal clashes of steel on steel.
Inuyasha's clothing shuttered in the wind, blowing hard against his skin and whipping his hair in front of his eyes. The mass of silver strand was flying wildly around him, having absolutly no control at all. Amber eyes peered from behind the silver strands, watching the demoness before him; she was now in the form of a young princess, but she was wearing the armor of a demon. His eyes narrowed as she stood cockily before him, one sword aimed at him and the other aimed at Kagome and Sango. Miroku wasn't there. A low growl emitted from his throaght as she shifted her weight to one foot, looking very full of herself.
Her scent was that of Naraku's and that's what made Inuyasha the maddest, especially since she was threataning Kagome. Inuyasha charged at her again, his sword poised to take off her head. She picked up her sword with lightning fast movments, parrying his attack with effortless grace, "She's repelling the Tessaiga with one hand!" Kagome called, amazed at the demoness's strength, "That's right, young half-demon." she said with an evil cackle, twisting the sword and catching his blade with one of the many ridges and slits in her own sword, throwing it to the side. The sword immediatly reverted back to it's normal, rusty state.
"Haha! Foolish honyou! Now... YOU DIE!" she yelled, taking off towards him on swift feet. Her long skirt fluttered behind her, fluttering in the strong wind that lapped at her legs. Inuyasha, being as cocky as he was, charged at her as well, "No! Lord Inuyasha!" yelled Myoga from Kagome's shoulder as she watched on in terror. Suddenly, the demoness stopped, and Inuyasha ran right into her blade, it's sharp point stabbing completley through his stomach. He coughed up blood, before falling limp to the ground, sliding off her blade with a sickly sound.
"Inuyasha!!" Kagome yelled, her long legs begining to carry her towards the injured half-demon. "No, Kagome!" Sango grabbed her friends shoulders, stopping the foolish girl from running to certain death. "Desperate to die, eh woman?" called the demon, smiling and revealing fang like inscicors that were large compared to Inuyasha's, "Don't worry; you'll meet him in Hell!" the called, swinging her blade towards Kagome's neck, "Inuyasha!" he scream echoed through the dark clouds, sounding in Inuyasha's ears as the woman he had grown so fond of fell limply to the ground.
He hauled himself from the ground, red eyes blinking back the rage that threatened to consume his very being, 'Kagome!' he thought as he looked at her limp, bleeding form on the ground; the demoness had missed, Kagome's head was still attached but a large gash seeped blood from her neck. Inuyasha roared in anger, his claws extending into daggers, and the purple stripes on his face pulsing with an anger that scared even the strange demoness before them, "What! What is this?" she said, watching with with a disgusted sneer, "Seems that the death of the "Woman" drove you over the edge. Driven insane by her loss maybe?" she asked, watching him with cold purple eyes.
Sango was scrambling to help Kagome; there was still a chance that she would be alive! The demon slayer would have to work quickly if there was any chance of the girl to survive. She listened to her pulse, still beating weakily in her chest, "Kagome!" Sango yelled, releived that her friend was still alive. Wrapping Kagome neck in cloth was all she could do to stop the bleeding. Sango sat from her kneeling position, her eyes seeming to brun with a firey rage, burning almost as strongly as Inuyasha's anger. "Hirotikos!" she yelled, hurling the large Boomerang Bone at the Demoness before her.
"Ha! Too late, I have already acheived my goal." she said, before jumping to the sky and disappearing in a cloud of smoke and lesser demons. Inuyasha growled, jumping into the air before falling back to the ground, unsuccesfull. "Inuyasha?" Sango asked, watching him carefully, seaming weary of him in his demon form. "Kagome!" he hissed out, his amber eyes returning to their natural color and the stripes of his cheeks retreating into nothingness."Kagome!?!" he asked, falling to her side, watching her pale form. She didn't look like she was breathing, "No!" he pur his head to her chest, listening for a heart beat. 'It's so fait... This is my fault..." he said, mostly to himself. "No... You did what you could." Sango said, tears stainging her cheeks which were coated in Kagome's dried blood. "She's so pale." he said, hugging her body close to his; she was cold, freezing cold. "I'm so sorry..." he whispered into her ear, a single tear dripping from his eye.
"I-Inuyasha?" came Kagome's weak voice, muffled by the folds of his clothing and he gasped, "Kagome!" he squeezed her close, "Ow!" she screamed, wincing as her head got bent back, "I'm sorry. Are you okay?" he asked, looking at her with kind eyes she had ever seen before. "It hurts." she said, tears of pain forming in the corners of her eyes. Her voice was raspy from the slash in her throught. Scooping her up, he wrapped his arms around her, hugging her tightly to his chest, and her tiny, pale, hands grasped at the red fabric of his Haori, "I'm going ahead, Sango." he said, not even looking at the demon slayer. Soon, he was air born, speeding towards Kaede's Village. "He knew I was here?" she asked, running off towards the village; she would arrive long after him. Kirara was out somewhere again, she hadn't been around very much lately.
Kagome shivered against the wind, tired from the loss of blood. Her uniform was stained with her own blood, which was spilling freely from the wound on her neck. She began to doze off, resting her head on Inuyasha's chest, "No! Don't go to sleep yet, Kagome!" he yelled, shaking her gently. She groaned and opened her eyes, staring at him with scared eyes, "Will I live Inuyasha?" she asked, crying again. "I won't let you die." he said, looking straight ahead. He really didn't know what would happen to her, but he could only wish for the best and give her hope. "Uh-huh." she laid her head back down, watching the determined look on his face with chocolate brown eyes.
Inuyasha burst into Keade's hut. Miroku was still laying on the cot, apparently very sick; he had once again sucked in the Saimyosho the damn monk, and Shippo had stayed behind to help him. "Kaede!" he called, glaring at the old woman as she staggered from the back room, using her bow as a walking stick, "Where is Lady Sango?" she asked, "She's coming, but you have to help Kagome!" he seemed almost desperate as he placed her limp form by the warming fire. "What happen to Ye, child?" she aked, unraveling the loosely tied cloth around Kagome's neck. "Naraku." is the only thing that Inuyasha hissed out.
"Alright. Ye will bring me water and a blue herb that grows by the stream out front." she said, still unraveling the thic cloth around the girls wounded neck, "Hurry if you wish for Lady Kagome to live!" she yelled, and he lepted from the door with a bucket. He quickly gathered the water and blue herb as fast as he could. Pushing aside the reed door he saw Kagome laying still, the bloody bandage thrown next to her head, and Kaede cutting a new strip of cloth. "Here." Inuyasha mumbled, siting next to Kagome's head. "This will numb Lady Kagome's throught so I can suture it. I'm afraid this gash will scar her.." Kaede said, crunching the herbs into a past before rubbing it on the skin around the wound.
He felt guilty for it, and he felt as though he should leave, not worthy of being in her presence, "Inuyasha." it was her weak voice, and though her eyes weren't open he could tell she was awake. Sweat beaded across her forhead, mixing with the crimson blood droplets that were splattered across her skin. Her frail hand reached out gently towards him; it was apparent that she was having difficulty moving. Inuyasha glanced around quickly; making sure no one would notice or care, and he reached out to grab her soft hand between his rough, callosed ones. She was quickly asleep once again, but Inuyasha held tightly onto her hadn, watching her face for any signs of movment.
Kaede stiched quickly and efficintly; the wound was quickly sewn up with the stitching technuiqes of the past. The cot of the hut was occupied by the sick Miroku, so Kaede proposed that Kagome lay in Inuyasha's lap. At first, Inuyasha played Mr. Mach, "No way! You can't expect me to do that!" he yelled, watching the old Miko with suspiciouse eyes. "Inuyasha, she needs your support, now help her!" called the now awakened Shippo, "I-Inuyasha?" piped up Kagome's raspy voice, and with that he broke, allowing her to rest in a more comfortable position. She was curled in a ball, her neck pretty much straight, against his chest, shivering from the cold winds that blew in through the simple reed door. Inuyasha held her closer.
Sango had come in late that night, long after even Inuyasha had gone to sleep. Kirara was on her shoulder, watching the scene from her high perch. The first thing the Demon Slayer saw when she walked in was Inuyasha and Kagome cuddled up in the corner, and she she giggled, smiling gently at the two; they seemed so peacful when they were together. "What are you laughing at?" Inuyasha asked, opening his eyes into a cold stare. Sango knew that it probably wasn't the best of times to annoy him, "Nothing..." she said, leaning against the wall to fall asleep herself. Inuyasha scoffed, falling back asleep.
The next morning, Kagome awoke to red, warm, cloth. Her neck still ached but it felt better now that it wasn't spilling blood all over her. Still, her cloths were cacked in blood, and she was sure that Inuyasha's cloths would be bloody aswell... 'Inuyasha?' she thought, looking up. She was met with his sleeping face, the rays of sunliht just coming though the reeds of the door and dancing accross his face, making his silver hair light up in shades of orange and red. She tried standing, just so she could at least get up for a moment, but her legs gave out. She expected to meet the cold hardwood floor, but instead she was met by the same red, warm, cloth that she had woken up to. Inuyasha yawned, apparently just woken up, "Don't walk. Come back to sleep." he said, still tired from the previouse battle. He scooped her up in his arms and sat down, laying her once again in his lap, resting his head against his shoulder.
'That... Didn't sound right...' Kagome was using modern day terms even in her thoughts. She had to admit though, that she was tired and that she was short of breath just from standing. She finally gave back into sleep, resting her against his broad chest. She was apparently more tired than she thought; she fell asleep as soon as she rested her head. Dreams swirled within her mind, containing Inuyasha and Everyone else, but especially Inuyasha. It was probably just because he was in near her....
Sunlight once again washed over Kagome's face, and she groaned, not wanting to wake up. She pulled part of Inuyasha's long sleeeve over her eyes to block out the bright sunlight of the afternoon. It was no suprise that everyone else was out, working or doing something productive. She had to get up, but she was so tired. She turned on to her side, covering herself from the light again, "It's okay... We don't have to wake up yet." she heard Inuyasha mumble before he turned them away from the door. "Won't the others--" He cut her off, "I already talked to them. Sleep." he said firmly. Turning full demon took away a lot of his strength, and Kagome had lost a lot of blood, so it wasn't surprising when both Honyou and girl found themselves asleep yet again.
Miroku was already feeling better; he was back to harassing Sango. A big welt had formed over his forhead where Sango had beat him senseless with Hirotikos. Now, the Demon Slayer sat on theground in front of the hut, polishing her large Bone Boomerang. It was already shiny, and she was merley polishing it to releive stress. She snorted, clearly very annoyed at the lecherouse monk, 'Damn him!' she thought, glaring at him through thick black bangs. He jus grinned cheesily before rubbing his head and sighing, "It was worth it, dear Sango!" he said, and she her glare narrowed.
Inuyasha stepped from the hut, apparently very, very tired. He yawned, ribbing on eyes with his fist. Sitting down next to the door, he watched the happenings, "Miroku, don't you ever learn?" Inuyasha asked, shaking his head in disgust. "...Where's Lady Kagome?" the monk asked, changing the subject abrubtly. "She's inside. Still sleeping." Inuyasha's eyes shifted to the ground and he seemed almost guilty. "What's wrong?" Shippo asked, appearing out of nowhere and jumping on his head. "Nothing, RUNT!" the half-demon slammed the child into the ground. 'She has lost a lot of blood...' Inuyasha thought, still glaring evily at the young fox child.
"Leave him alone, Inuyasha!" came the familiar voice of Kagome from the door of the hut. She was leaning against the door frame, unable to support her own weight on her weak legs. Her raven locks were a mess, blood soaked and mangled from sleep. Her outfit was still blood soaked, not surprising considering she hadn't taken a bath since she was injured. The only thing that seemed truly Kagome was her pleasant smile. She seemed just weak, unlike the normal, fiesty school girl that everyone was used to. "Kagome!" Inuyasha stood up quickly and balanced her with his hand. He held her gently by the abdomen, keeping her from falling from the hut, "You shouldn't be out yet!" he whispered, not wanting to let the others knew he cared. "But I'm filthy! I want a bath!" she complained, gesturing towards her blood soaked shirt.
Inuyasha scowled at her, watching her weak form, "How are you gona manage a bath?" he asked, trying to convince her not to go. He really did care about the school girl, no matter how much he attempted to hide it. Sango muffled a giggle as Inuyasha and Kagome argued quietly. It was too long of a talk to be unsuspiciouse, and Miroku, Sango, and Shippo watched them in amusment. "Sango will help." Kagome added defiantly. The honyou sighed, "Fine." with that he stepped away from her, leaping into the trees before anyone else could say anything. Kagome stared at him with suspiciouse eyes. "Sango, can you help me to the Hot Springs? I don't think I can carry myself...." Kagome said, hoping for some clean cloths and a bath.
Sango nodded, and Kirara transformed so she could carry Kagome. The demon slayer helped the injured woman up onto the Neko, "Shippo, make sure that houshii-sama doesn't take to spying on us again." she said, not even looking back at the young kitsune. "Aw, come on! Haven't I earned more trust than that?!?" asked the disgruntled, lechourus monk. "Oh you've earned something alright." Sango said as Kirara took to the skies and kicked her feet towards the warm water ahead. Kagome leaned fowards, leaning against the fir on Kirara's neck to stay on the back f the Flying Demon.
Reaching the Hot Springs took only minutes by air. Kagome watched the ground disappear below her as Kirara hurried thrugh the air, speeding towards the ot Springs, "I wonder where Inuyasha went..." she said out-loud, expecting no answere to her thoughts, "Who knows..." the Demon Slayer seemed very absent. "Do you think he'll watch us out of spite? He did go off towards the hot springs..." Kagome said, watching the tree tops for signs of red. "It sounds as if you want him to look!" Sango said, giggling. Kagome glared back at her.
Kirara landed by the water's edge, not wanting Kagome to walk very far; the girl still had to regenerate her blood! Sango jumped off first, and kagome swung her leg over, sitting gently over the side of Kirara.Sango reached up, and gingerly pulled Kagome down, supporting her weight with a strong arm. Helping Kagome onto a rock, Sango slipped off her Kimono, sliding into the warm waters and soothing her aching muscles. Kagome undid her bloody uniform and began to wash out her hair, staining the water with red around her. Kirara shrugged off Kagome's back before transforming into the cute little two tail, "Mew!"
"This is 'gona leave a nastly scar, won't it?" Kagome said with a frown, glancing down into her reflection. The gash in her throught was really deep, just missing her wind pipe; just another inch down and... Kagome didn't want to think about it. Sango didn't want to lie to her, but she hated the ideao of a large scar plaguing the girls pale skin for the rest of the life, "I'm afraid it will, Kagome." she said, frowing at the large gash; Kagome was really lucky. That swing could have easily killed her... It was as if the demoness hadn't wanted to kill her!
Kagome frowned because she knew it was true. She knew it would scar and leave a mark on her neck for the rest of her life; how was she going to explain this to all her friends!?! She sighed, scrubbing the blood from her arms with a soft sponge she brought from her era. The dried blood was harder to get off then it would have been if it was fresh. Her skin was still stained red, even after she washed multiple times. She snotred, washing the blood that had dripped down from her neck onto her chest. At least her face had come clean, but the big cut on her throught still haunted her.
"Don't worry, Kagome." Sango said reassuringly. She hated to see her friend this upset, and had to offer her advice, "Maybe Kaede has a herb to reduce the scaring?" Sango asked, thinking that it could be quite possible, especially with Miko Powers. "I'll ask." Kagome said with a sincere, warm smile that just seemed to come naturally to her. She sunk down into the water, letting the warm water flush out the wound and rid her flesh of the dried blood forming around the sutures of Kaede's work.
"Looks as though we have ourselves a peeping Tom!" Sango yelled, throwing a rock into the bushes at the side of the spings. Kagome saw a flash of red and knew who it was even before he popped his hed above the leaves, his ears drooping guiltily. "Inuyasha..." her voce was menacing, and he knew what would come next. He closed his eyes and cringed slightly, attempting to back away from the two enraged females.
Kagome couldn't help it; she burst out into an uncontrolable laughter and Sango followed soon after, "It's the one thing Inuyasha's afraid of!" Sango said, hiding behind a large rock. Kagome was having too much trouble breathing to even get out the full word, "S-si" she once again started laughing. While Kagome was distracted, Inuyasha tried to walk away, creeping silently through the bushes, 'I don't see what's so funny...' Inuyasha thought, glaring over his shoulder at the two girls.
"Oh no you don't!" Kagome yelled, noticing that the Inu Honyou was walking away, "SIT!" she yelled, still laughing. She pulled a towel from the back and wrapped it around her pale form before stomping over to the place where Inuyasha had fallen, "You won't get off with this, that easily!" Kagome said, glaring at him. Inuyasha sat up, backing away from her and bumping into a tree, 'Uh-oh.' he thought, seeing the sinister gleam to Kagome's eyes. The School Girl was whispering in Sango's ear, and Inuyasha's dog ears picked up her voice. 'Now I know why I never did this... ' he said, truley afraid of Kagome.
Both demon slayer and Kagome grabbed him by the shoulders, pulling him back towards the Hot Springs, "Wh-what ar e you doing!?!" he asked as they merley shook their head. He gulped. Mere second later he was met with warm water, and his cloths were absolutly soaked. "Gah!" he climbed out of the water, his bangs stuck to his forhead, covering over his eyes. He held his arms out, the long sleeves of his shirt dripping with water; he really did look like a wet dog! Sango and Kagome just laughed at him. He frowned and stepped from the water, glaring at Kagome. He walked by, grumbling, and pulled down Kagome's towel, grabbing the corner and ripping it from her form before she could react. Snickering, he took off into the treetops.
Kagome screamed, and kneeled down, so that he couldn't see anything, and threw him a glare before he left. "That jerk!" she yelled, picking up her towel and drying off. Pulling a new uniform from her bag, she got dressed; she was 'gona sit him next time they met! She was feeling much more refreshed and invigorated now that she was clean and her legs didn't feel as weak as they did before. "Should we head back, now?" Sango asked, and Kirara becae engulfed in flames, becoming the giant demon when she emerged. Sango once again helped Kagome ontop of the flying cat, already dressed from before.
Once again the trip took only minutes, and the entire way Kagome was stewing over how rude Inuyasha was. "How dare he do that!" she said out loud, glaring down at the forest. "Inuyashs's been acting strange aroud you." Sango said, leaving the rest to Kagome's imagination. The School Girl sighed; she knew it was true. The honyou had been acting to close to her since she'd been hurt. Kagome didn't much care for his change. When Inuyasha wasn't angry it scared her, happiness didn't seem to fit him very well.
When Kirara landed, Sango helped Kagome down and made her sit in front of the hut. Inuyasha was sitting next to her, looking as if nothing at all had happened. He apparently didn't want Shippo and Miroku know what had transpired; he'd never live it down if Miroku found out! Kagome glared at him and he gulped, not looking at her. "SIT!" she yelled, and he was once again met with the ground. Miroku and Shippo jumped, bu Sango only laughed, being the only other person who actually knew what had happened, "Sit, sit, sit, sit, SIT!" he was pushed farther into his crater. Finally, she was satisfied, and she watched him angrily.
The Inu Honyou pulled himself from the large crater te spell had created, turning to Kagome with a scowl, "What the hell was that for, wench!?!" Kagome returned his scowl, "You know perfectly well why!" she said, throwing her bag to the ground, with her towel still poking out of the top; the bag was too big to close all the way. "Feh." with that Inuyasha once again ran off, leaving behind everyone else. Kagome snorted, glad that she wouldn't have to deal with him for awhile.
"What happened?" Shippo asked, leaping onto Kagome's head. "Nothing." Kagome snapped, picking up the young kitsune and cradling him with one arm. "Something transpired between you." Miroku said, glancing at Sango who merley shrugged. Kagome just sighed and leaned her head against the wooden planks of the small hut. The smells of lunch reached her nose, and she knew that Inuyasha would have to come back to eat. It was Ramen, apparently just being made. It would take only minutes to cook.
Soon, everyone was gathered around the warming fire, a bowl of the hot noodles in their hand, the hot steam washing over them. Kagome's wounds were freshly cleaned, and the wound actually didn't look that bad considering what had happened. She couldn't bend her neck though, and it throbbed with a gentle pain. Inuyasha still hadn't returned, and Kagom was starting to worry about him; he would always show up to eat Ramen! Kagome's steps were more steady now, and she was able to walk now. Everyone ate silently, having no Honyou to lighten the mood.
Suddenly, Kagome stood up, everyone staring at her, "I'll go find him." she sounded very exhasperated. Grabbing her bow, she walked from the hut, using the strong wood as a walking stick to keep her balance. The sun was still shining and she figured that she would have a few hours to find the dense honyou. Her steps were fast, considering what had happened the day before. "Kagome..." Sango's voice called from the hut, but she ignored her and kept going down her path and into the dense forest ahead. Sango sighed and retreated back into the hut, not wanting to invade on Kagome.
Finding Inuyasha was easy; he always went to the same spots over and over again whenever he needed to think. First was the Goshinboku Tree, a place where he felt especially peacfull, next was a small cliff that hung over a large meadow, and finally was the river, where he would star into the ripples. Looking through the leaves of the God Tree, she saw no signs of red, so she moved onto her next place; the cliff. When she finally arrived at the overhanging cliff, the sun was begining to set and was casting lovely orange and red shades across the land, making the meadow below look very very beautiful.
And it was there that he sat, his hair reflecting the light and making him look very calm and at peace. Kagome knew that he must have been really thinking about something; he didn't even notice her approuch. His nose twitched but his head didn't turn, "Inuyasha?" she asked, and his head whipped around, "Kagome?" he asked, aparently surprised at her sudden arrival. She quickly sat down beside him, laying the bow to her side, "You know you shouldn't have done that." she said, still looking disgruntled at what his actions at the Hot Springs. She wrinkled her nose at him and he sighed, once again looking out over the cliffs edge.
Suddenly, Inuyasha pulled her into a gentle embrace, holding her close to his side. "Inuyasha?" Kagome asked, figuring that this didn't have anything to do with the happenings at the hot springs. "Kagome you could have been killed." he said gently, not looking her in the eye. "That's what you've been thinking about?" the school girl asked, looking at him, carefully watching the expression on his face. He seemed to be worried, sad, and guilty; all of the expression flashed through his features before finally he settled with a look of calmness.
Finally, he nodded, his face returning to the guilty expression that raced by it before, "Kagome..." he trailed off, apparently not wanting to finish that paticular sentance. "Inuyasha, what's wrong?" he merley looked down at her with a look that she couldn't quite place; she had seen it before somewhere. Suddenly, she felt his hand over her's and when she looked down he turned away, his hand still graspin her's gently. "It's my fault Kagome..." he said, a voice so gentle that the mortal girl could barely hear him, "I'm sorry." those were words that Kagome had never heard from him before.
Suddenly, the Honyou pulled Kagome's arm, pulling her gently near him; he wanted to keep her safe. Kagome rested against his side willigly as Inuyasha shifted his hand to her shoulder, holding her body closer to his. She laid her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. He sighed, glad to have her close to him; no matter how much he denied it, he loved having Kagome around him. Her scent always soothed him, and he felt at peace around her, no matter what happened during the day.
'And she's mine.' he thought proudly, glad to know that someone as kind and loving as Kagome was his. 'No, not yet she isn't.' he reasoned, 'Anyone else could take her right now.' he was once again arguing with himself over what he should so, 'I'll wait 'till she's older then!' he declared to himself, staring out over the green land beneath the cliff, 'Koga will have her by then.' his face contorted into a frown and his body tensed up; he knew it was true, he could only keep Koga away for so long.
Kagome's eyes were closed, but she didn't need to see in order to understand Inuyasha; he was tense again, "Inuyasha, what's wrong?" she asked, not opening her eyes. "N-nothing, Kagome..." he stuttered, keeping his thoughts from her. He needed to tell her though; she deserved to know what he felt. The mortal girl frowned at his vague answere, and sat up straight again; he looked at her, his eyes burning with his desire to keep her as his. Kagome saw this and was slightly frightened.
Suddenly Inuyasha made his descision and with a quick movment he had Kagome on the ground beeanth him, his body pressing hard against him. Before she could even respond wrenched her arms above her head and pressed his lips tightly to hers, "I can't let you get hurt again..." he said, nibbling down her neck. Kagome was frightened, very frightened!

Yes, evil cliffy, but I wanted to get the first chapter up tonight. Remember, most of the chapters won't be this long, so don't expect much. And I don't update very quickly because I am usually very maticuls in my writting, but I should be able to finish it up before school starts again. ^^ On this chapter I just got annoyed with the damn stupid, crappy spell checker, so I had to leave the words. >_>
