Trust and Truth

The beautiful morning was ending, with the sun high in the sky and the smell of cooked food invading the village. Kaede had just made lunch and Miroku and Sango were cleaning their weapons near the forest when the old woman approached them.
“Lord Monk, lady hunter, the lunch is ready.”
“Ah yes, thank you Kaede we’ll be right there, ne, Sango my love?” Miroku knew we’d be yelled for the name he just called the demon-hunter but, for once, it was the truth he had no problems admitting. If looks could kill there would be one less monk in the world. The tajiyoukai glared at him and, as Miroku had predicted, yelled at him.
“Houshi-sama, you will stop calling me those names!!! I am NOT your love!!”
“But Sango....even if you don’t love me, it’s the truth!!” He approached her unnoticeable, as he was behind her. He gropped her butt while at the same time he professed his love “I love you!”.
This time, the monk received a punch in the head (N/A well deserved if you ask me!!).
“You don’t have any remedy, do you?? You just think women are pieces of meat that you can eat everytime you want!!” Sango started chasing after him for punching him even harder but the houshi realized that and started to run in circles around the hiraikotsu and the cleaning equipment.
“There’s no need to violence!!! Absolutly no need!! Let’s enjoy this day peacefully and have a delicious lunch”
Sango stopped chasing him and stated “Now that you’re saying it, I feel kinda hungry....”
“Well, we’re just waiting for Inuyasha to come back from the forest and....”
The young couple stared at the half demon leaving the forest and small fox perched in his shoulder.
“Please...” Kaede was back “The food is going to be cold if you don’t eat it. Ah, Inuyasha....the lunch is ready.”
“Yes...” It was all the hanyou said
The tajiyoukai and the houshi knew that when he normally returned from the well he was either fuming with rage or returning with Kagome. Now was not the case.... The half demon’s ears were flattened in his head. They calculated something went very wrong near the well but not a common discussion. Perhaps Kagome and him and a serious fight, for a change.

The tajiyoukai and the houshi stared silently at the hanyou and the kitsune eating in silence.
“So....euh.....Inuyasha...” Miroku tried to formule the question “What happened to Kagome? Did you....euh....”
“Cut the bullshit Miroku” Inuyasha growled. Suddenly small sobs were heard.
“Shippou what’s wrong?” Sango gently and worriedly asked. Shippou was silently crying but when Sango asked him, he broke into histerical sobs.
“Kagome.....Kagome.....I want Kagome!!! I want Kagome!!” the kistune’s wails made everyone’s heart broke “She’s not going to come back...... Kagome........ Kagome...”
“What do you mean by “she’s not coming back”, Shippou?”
It was as if he hadn’t heard the monk, he just continued crying.
“Got get her inuyasha.....*sob*......go get her......”
“STOP YOUR WAILING!!!! IF SHE WANTS TO, SHE’LL COME BACK!!!” Inuyasha was starting to have an ear-ache due to his wails but his real pain was in his heart, seeing the small kistune in tears and thinking about what happened early in that morning.
“You made her leave......*sob*.....she’s not coming back...... *sob* .....and .....and.....” Suddenly shippou stopped his wails and cries. He turned his head to Inuyasha and yelled at the maximum height his lungs could “AND SHE’S NOT REPLACEABLE!!!!! YOU COULD NEVER FIND SOMEONE LIKE HER!!! She’s much more than......”
“Don’t you dare say it!!!” The half youkai had not screamed, instead he had spoke with such a determined tone of voice that made everyone quiet and silent. Even Shippou stopped crying. The two were looking at eachother. Inuyasha with a very fierce and penetrating glare and Shippou with a very scared and teary look.
“I’ve.....I’ve lost mt apettite.....” It was the excuse that inuyasha had to get to leave the others behind. But it was the truth really...... Like his heart, his stomach was turning with distress.
He decided he wanted to have a little time for himself.....to think over things....
He walked to the Goshinboku, jumped and installed himself in on of the high branches. That was his favourite place to think.... Mostly because some of the more important things in his life happened in that tree..... His first meeting with Kagome and.....his death. He always thought of the same things..... Kagome, Kikyou, Naraku and his feelings. Of those he couldn’t come to any conclusing to the first and last issue. The others..... He knew what he had to do. Kill Naraku so that Kikyou could finally rest in peace, unfortunately that would mean she had to be....he decided that “killed” was a very disturbing word. She was, after all, his first crush... Let’s rather say put at rest...
Right now....he thought about the early morning events.....
