What will you do now Inuyasha?
I don’t own Inuyasha well you know the rest blah, blah….
Anything ' in these are thoughts' ok? here we go......
Kagome pulled herself over the edge of the well and tossed her backpack on the ground.
‘I thought he’d be here by now.’ She swung her bag over her shoulder sighed and started to walk towards the village where her friends would be waiting. Something just didn’t feel right. The air was still and no birds were singing. The silence was almost unbearable.
She felt slightly nervous, like that feeling you get when you think someone is watching you. This just wasn’t right. The closer Kagome came to the village the more she felt something was off. ‘What is that smell?’ she thought sniffing the air. The smell of smoke was strong and just kind of hung there. ‘Fire?’ Then she started to run. She came to the front of the village and stopped dead in her tracks. ‘Oh god no.’ the village was gone burning cinders of what use to be houses still smoldering. Ashes were almost all that were left. The bodies of the dead gave off the foulest odor. Tears welled up in her eyes as she began to walk through the rubble covering her nose and mouth with her sleeve. ‘Where are Inuyasha and the others?’ The bodies that littered the ground were all burned or rotting. Kagome had to vomit. ‘Inuyasha where are you?’ Kagome decided she go and wait by the well. As she turned to go back the way she came she saw Kikyo.
“Kikyo, what are you doing here?” Kagome questioned.
“You don’t like what I’ve done to the place? To think I went to all the trouble of preparing this for your return.” Kikyo said with evil in her eyes.
‘What is wrong with her?’
“Kikyo how could you do this?”
“It was easy Kagome. We had a plan. Naraku has been keeping Inuyasha and your other friends busy by making them believe he has you prisoner. In the mean time I came here to kill you. I want your soul. I will send Inuyasha to hell and remain here with Naraku. He is so easy to fool that Inuyasha. Glad I didn’t fall for the smarter of the brothers.”
“I thought you loved him Kikyo. I can’t believe you would side with Naraku after what he has done. He is the reason you died in the first place. How could you forget that?”
“I haven’t forgotten anything! I haven’t forgotten how Inuyasha has become so attached to you when he is supposed to love me. He was supposed to love me forever. Naraku at least never lied about his intentions. Inuyasha would have betrayed you one day too. But he’ll never get the chance because you are about to die.”
Kikyo drew an arrow and pointed it directly at Kagome’s heart. She pulled back and stared into Kagome’s eyes.
“Goodbye Kagome.” She whispered as she let her arrow fly.
