Love Only Once

Kagome walked through the forest on the way back to the Bone Eaters Well when she saw Kikyo’s soul collectors. Kagome’s curiosity piqued, she followed them to a clearing where she saw Inuyasha sweep Kikyo into his arms for a passionate kiss. Kagome fell to her knees behind a bush. “I’ve been a fool to think I could ever change him,” she thought. “But I still can’t just leave him, I love him too much” she whispered. She ran all the way back to the well and jumped through.

Inuyasha pulled Kikyo to him and kissed her but she pulled away. “Inuyasha,” she fairly screeched “when will you ever realize I don’t want you, It’s over. Please leave me be. She left him there, stunned. Inuyasha was incredulous how could the love of his life deny him? He went back to camp only to find Kagome gone. “Where’s Kagome?” he snarled at Sango, Miroku, and Shippo. “She went back to her time to gather more supplies.” answered Miroku calmly as his hand strayed to Sango's lush behind. “Watch it monk!” She growled as she hit him over the head effectively rendering him unconscious, he fell with a smile on his handsome face. Inuyasha was stewing “How could she have left without telling me?” he wondered “She’s never done this before.”

Kagome jumped back into the well several days later with the supplies they needed. Inuyasha met her at the well and snarled at her “What took you so long?” “You know what Inuyasha?” she screamed “I can’t take this shit anymore!” “You take and take and I give and give” “and you know what I don’t have anything else for you to take so go back to your dead whore, see if she can help you find the damn shards!” She ran into the dense woods as fast as her legs would carry her.

Inuyasha was shocked to say the very least. His Kagome would never say that to him! He was too stunned to go after her. Kagome ran until she came up against what seemed to be a brick wall but was in fact Sesshoumaru’s rock hard chest Kagome opened her mouth to scream but Sesshoumaru’s lips swooped down to smother the sound. Inuyasha sensed his brother the minute he laid his hands on Kagome and he tore thorugh the forest to protect her.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing with my woman?” Inuyasha snarled at his half brother.
