Summary: He was a monster, a plain monster. She wanted away. She tried jumping towards home, she tried killing, but nothing worked. His claws, they ran with blood...her blood.
Disclaimer: I do not own anything of Inuyasha. The only thing that belong to me is this plot.

Haunted
Prologue
The sunset shined across the forest with a haunting look. The wind danced across the desert ground with an eering feeling. The location, the place, it gave a feeling of death. One isolated and alone. A village came into view over a small hill, just outside of the forest. Dark smoke with wide red flames shot from buring huts. Chillful screams could be heard crying out into the deadly evening. A gastly scent roamed the area. Its rich, toxicating smell as it covered piles of non-moving objects.
A cryfull chill peirced the area as a boomerange went flying through the air landing near it's motionless owner. Another screem followed as a dull red liquid splash upon the hard, dry soil.
Dark brown eyes stared upon the horrid scene of the day. A breath was raggid as a heart beated out of control. The sight, the screams, the blood, it was nothing no one expected to happen. A young girl tried hard to hold back the tears that wanted to trail down her dry skin. His eyes shown with a blood red color. His claws were drenched in crimson blood of the villagers and friends that he slaughter.
She tried crawling back, away from the event. She wanted away. It wasn't suppose to happen. It wasn't suppose to turn out this way. Getting some distance, she stood up and ran. Running, she ran around villages, around bodies. She wanted to enter the forest, away from the youkai.
Her tears started to flow as she glanced back. He stood there smiling as he looked down at his hands. How could he just smile? How could he kill everyone including his friends? Tears started to flow down her face again as she remembered her friends being killed. She was alone, alone with a monster. Her only safe haven was the well. She had to make it to the well.
------------------
Cloudiness of his mind started to clear. His sword, laying a short distance away, started to pulsate again. It seemed to call him, wanting him to pick it up. He reached out his bloody claws towards it. Grasping the old handle, his eyes started to clear. The jagged markings across his face started to fade. His once crimson red eyes disappeared leaving a golden hue. He looked around confused on the site. Who was here? What has happen?
He looked upon the site noticing something. The wind, it carried a salty scent along with a sweet feminime scent. He realized it quickly. She ran, but from what. Putting his sword away, he turned towards the forest and started to run, hoping that she would still be there.
-----------------
Tears continued to flow even when she fell upon the ground. Running, she just kept running. The site, the scene, the smell, it kept flashing in her mind. She just wanted it to go away. The well was a short distance away. The clearing was coming including the clear sky with the twinkling stars.
One more run, she was out of the forest. The well was a short distance way. It would be over. She would be safe. A little more, she was there. The darkness, the welcoming darkness. She placed her leg over ready to jump when she heard a faint sound. "Kagome." came a gentle voice. She shook her head. He was coming to kill her next. Pushing a little farther. "Kagome, please wait." The voice came again, but even softer. It seemed as if he was crying.
She let go afraid on what to see, only to be held by him. "Let go. Please, let go." she whispered.
He pulled her up and wrapped his arms around her, embracing her in a kind hug. "Why are you leaving? What happen to the village?" He kept asking questions, questions that he should know the answer to. It didn't make sense. Did he know what happen? Did he know that he was the one that destroyed everything?
"You....you destroyed everything. Our friends, the village, the people, it is all gone." Kagome dropped down to her knees, hugging around her stomach. She was crying. The tears leaked from her face and splashed upon the ground. "Inuyasha, why? Why did you do it?"
"I don't know why. I don't even remember." He replied while looking away. He looked at his claws. The smell was starting to get to him. It made his stomach turned.
Kagome heard noises as you stared upon the ground. Looking up, she noticed Inuyasha running off. He was upset by all of this. She was scared. What were any of them suppose to do? They were alone, alone in a world of demons. Kagome's best answer would to be to return to her time, however, she could not leave Inuyasha, not in the current state he was in.
Inuyasha kept running. He did not know what to do. All that had happen, he did not remember anything of it. How could he be sure not to do the same to Kagome. No, the only thing he could do would be to leave and never return. If Kagome gave up on him, she could return home and be safe away from him.
-----------------------
Inuyasha kept running, never stopping. He came to a creek and bent down washing his claws within the wather. The reaked of blood. It turned his stomach. How could? Why did he? He could not remember anything. He did not seem to understand why he killed everyone.
Standing up, he clawed at a tree and slumped back down. He grabbed Tetsusaiga from his side and just stared at it. It couldn't even help him. For some odd reason, he had lost it. How? How did he lose his sword? His mind was a blank. If he did not return back to his old self, he could have killed Kagome.
---------------------
Kagome sat there upon the ground. She kept staring at the direction Inuyasha ran. He was a wreck. He was upset by everything. He had no idea what to do. Standing up, she walked in the direction he went. A small stream appeared around some trees. He was sitting near a tree staring at the Tetsusaiga. She watched as he threw it upon the ground. She watched as he tighten his fist and the blood that ran through his fingers, splashing upon the ground.
Slowly, she walked trying to prevent sounds. He jerked his head towards a direction. He gave a light growl before standing up. With one quick jump, he pinned Kagome to a tree. "What are you doung?" he yelled.
Kagome tried to hold back the tears. She was scared. The tears ran, falling down her cheek, splashing against her cheek. He let go. She dropped holding herself against the tree. He turned away and then quickly turned back running his claws agains the trunk.
Kagome stood up and ran. She kept running unsure if he was following. She didn't care. Helping, that was all she wanted to do. Kagome kept running not knowing where she was going. The tears kept flowing, flowing like no end.
Her body came to a jolting stop as she heard splashes from below. Opening her eyes, she noticed the wide ocean ahead. The sea gulls were flying out into the horizon, out into the sunset. The waves could be heard crashing from below. She glanced down and saw the jagged rocks. Ending her life, that was all she had to do. Going home was impossible. She cared to much about the hanyou. She wanted to help him. Ending it now will ease her suffering, her ache.
Leaning forward, she let her foot graze the air. Her heart thumped as if it would jump out. The tears ran drifting into the air. She pushed a little bit farther. Her balance was unstable. She let go. The air circled around her body as she fell to the sea. She closed her eyes excepting the darkness that covered.
