Thank you! I find it quite encouraging to post my first fanfic and have it well received by eloquent reviewers right off the bat. I actually have a large part of this story written, but it is heaped together in a single Word document and unformatted for HTML display. Furthermore, I've turned this story over in my head so many times that I can run through the plot as easily as one could do with their favorite movie, so coming up with new chapter material won't be difficult, though actual updates may be a bit spaced out, as I do have college work to attend to.

Sorry, Piggi, this isn't going to contain any Sesshoumaru/Kagura. I have paired Sesshoumaru with Rin, and they will be only a small part of the story. The pairings of focus will be Goku/Sango and Android Seventeen/Kagura.

I re-read the first version of this story that I had written last year, and I'm groaning left and right at how self-consciously silly and OOC I made it at some points. 3/27/05: Fixed a minor grammatical error in Chapter 3 (a "wasn't" was missing the "t"). I haven't updated this story for a while, but I am still working on it. I have Chapter 4 in the works right now. I haven't updated this fic because I am working on another, a one-shot lemon that I will post as a test of my lemon-writing tactics. I figure that it would be a good idea to see how that pans out before BF1542 gets to the lemon stage. Thanks, and see ya!
5/22/05: Hot damn! Chapter Four! Sorry for the wait; I've got plenty of ideas, but writing them down well enough to do them justice, or at least until I'm happy with them, can be a bit tricky, sometimes. Not until I started listening to both In Flames and Nightwish concurrently did I make significant progress on Chapter Four.

THE STORY SO FAR:
Naraku escaped InuYasha and his allies at the last possible moment by fleeing through Kanna's soul mirror, ending up in Spirit World, specifically, inside the Dust Bowl, a section of the spiritual realm reserved for Earth's youkai. However, due to his own foolishness, Naraku trapped himself inside this place, and it became the Inu no Taisho's task to both maintain the integrity of the Dust Bowl and ensure that Naraku never escapes it.
Six-hundred years after that, in the mid-twenty-first century, the Russian Army set into motion a plan to expand its control around the world, one that uses the clone of the long-dead Android Seventeen as its primary weapon. Shippo, King Yamma's spy in the living world, reported his discovery of this plot to King Yamma, and in turn, the bull-demon sent Shippo to the Dust Bowl, Android Seventeen's current place of residence, the kitsune's task being to retrieve the jinzo-ningen and bring him back to Yamma so that he may be informed of his mission to hijack the body of his own clone.
However, certain circumstances immediately following Seventeen's death have created a rift between the android and King Yamma, and Seventeen may not be receptive to Yamma's plan to send him back to Earth.....

Status Report, 6-24-05
Working on Chapter Five, which will finally introduce Android Seventeen as a main character and lead up to a large battle/firefight against Naraku's saimyousho inside the Budokai stadium. Writing potential one-shot focused on Kagome's mom and Sesshoumaru, titled "Behind Closed Doors" (Rejected story titles: Kagome's Mom Has Got it Going On, M.I.L.F). Chapter Five will be a long chapter, and is roughly 1/4 done.
