SEVEN SINS --- "I TRY"

A rustle in the wind blew his silver-white hair across his face. You would hardly recognize him now, his usually
arrogant aggressive features now overcome with pain and loss. His eyes closed and his inu-ears folded down on his head. He couldn't understand why. Why would the one he loves strike him down? He couldn't figure out what this pain in his heart was. It was like he had been cheated, like being betrayed for no good reason. Like pouring your heart to someone who would slay it in two. His thoughts betrayed him, his eyes mislead him, his heart falling into love with an evil. But no. It couldn't be, this creature, so pure and so beautiful. She was not the kind who's soul
would be tainted with the malice against him... no. They were too much in love to be tricked out of it. But why? Why
would she try to?
It was a sigh of relief that she hadn't, the head priest was able to exorcise the demon from out of her body, she had
collapsed that instant, feeling of sadness, having been drained of all her emotions. She didn't recall what had
happened and wondered where the strange inu-hanyou had gone to. They had been the best of friends surely, of
not more. And she looked around worriedly for him, clutching the archery bow that shad just released it's attack
against him. She gasped, feeling the wounds the people of the village had inflicted to keep her sane. Minor flesh
wounds, yet hindering as they were there. She took a breath but was held by her master. "No Kikyou-san, I forbid
you to see that cur. He is the cause of these strange youkai attacks." She bowed her head and let go a tear, what
had happened, had she hurt him? She sighed deeply, hoping for all that she hadn't. She had since now felt a strange
bond, a string beneath her ribs tied tightly around her heart. The other end of the string was taught, and the fraying
ends were wrapped around the hanyou's heart. Kikyou smiled inwardly... is this what love felt like?
"InuYasha..." she sighed, rustling gently beneath the light sheets. A soft breeze blew in through the door, leaving
Kikyou to only smile and wish that she were outside. The breath of wind flew by her hair, making it rustle lightly, it
wrapped a scent around her nose, and a voice penetrated her ear. "Kikyou..." it said, "Kikyou where are you..." it
called. She closed her eyes and let the warm breath engulf her. "I'm right here... right here with you..." she breathed
back. She rested her head, turning sideways on her futon. She gazed outside and saw a quick red flash shoot by
the trees. "...always." she finished.
InuYasha's heart raced, he tried to fit the pieces together, what had caused this outbreak of demon possession. Why would it want to tear Kikyou and him apart? What could they do to stop it? The questions blurred his mind, he sat quietly in a branch now, trying to shake the thoughts from his clouded mind. All he was thinking about was her.
She was so beautiful, her long midnight black hair that reached her lower back. She kept it tied back in a loose
ribbon, he bangs just covering the tops of her beautiful eyelashes. Tracing down the memory he could imagine the
intensity of her deep brown eyes. How beautifully chocolate colored orbs would look at him, examining his face.
And she would gaze back into his eyes, the metallic golden inheritance from the clan of the dog demons. Her
smile was always bright, especially towards the village youth. Kikyou would teach a small class about herbs and
medicinal remedies. InuYasha knew this from watching her, always protecting over her.
He jumped quickly out of the branch when he heard her moan in pain. Why was she hurting? Who was doing this?
She breathed deeply, and fell back asleep. InuYasha watched from a far tree, his eyesight was beyond better than
normal. He could see clearly that she was just fitting in her sleep. He started to talk, and his words became song.
The wind blew into her ear again, soothing her mind and soul. And she didn't toss around or shake, "...InuYasha."
she cooed, smiling slightly and curling up in her blanket. The hanyou watched her closely, making sure she was
safe. He dared not go back to the village, less he be executed by the head priest. He lay against the tree trunk and
fell asleep as well. He hope that after it all calmed down, he would finally be able to confess his love for her. For
Kikyou.

YAY!!! New fiction, I watched the movie for InuYasha (the 1st one) anyways.. I remembered that part where Kagome
confessed that she didn't need to come to the feudal era, and that Kikyou could collect the shards, this chapter
pretty much is an introductory one, as will the next few be. The real story starts when the Shikon no Tama is
shattered, and then KIKYOU and INUYASHA must go in search of the shards.
SUMMARY: In this chapter, it was the "fateful" day that Kikyou was going to give Inuyasha the jewel. Only she wasn’t
going to. She didn’t have possession of the jewel yet, her master did (think about Tsubaki and Kikyou and their
master) anyways... Naraku tried to kill InuYasha taking Kikyous form, but without realizing it, their love kept him from doing so. They HAVENT CONFESSED THEIR LOVE YET. They do feel a connection though. Inuyasha wont come back to the village because he doesn’t want to be killed by the head priest and Kikyou is recovering from emotional and physical drain....
NEXT: The confession, and the truth about the youkai possessions...

INSPIRATION: "Time After Time" -- Cyndi Lauper (I know a preppy song.. but so beautiful for Inu and Kikyou)
LYRICS:
Lying in my bed I hear the clock tick,
And think of you
Caught up in circles confusion
Is nothing new
Flashback to warm nights
Almost left behind
Suitcase of memories,
Time after -
Sometimes you picture me
I'm walking too far ahead
You're calling to me, I can't hear
What you've said
Then you say, go slow
I fall behind -
The second hand unwinds
If you're lost you can look and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall I will catch you, I'll be waiting
Time after time
If you're lost you can look and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall I will catch you I'll be waiting
Time after time
After my picture fades and darkness has
Turned to gray
Watching through windows you're wondering
If I'm O.K.
Secrets, stolen
from deep inside
The drum beats out of time -
If you're lost you can look - and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall I will catch you - I'll be waiting
Time after time
You say - go slow -
I fall behind -
The second hand unwinds
If you're lost you can look - and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall I will catch you - I'll be waiting
Time after time
If you're lost you can look - and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall I will catch you - I'll be waiting
Time after time
