Nymphetamine
***I do not own Inuyasha or any of the characters except for the girl, whose name will be known through the next two chapters.***
The marble slats of the prison chamber closed, shutting out all light to the girl. Her pouting lips frowned slightly, her eyes trying harshly to adjust to the complete darkness. Even in this black of a prison a demoness’s eyes couldn’t focus. She leaned back realizing her cell gave her about two inches of moving room on any side.
She closed her eyes. Her clawed fingers tracing over the ancient claw marks of those imprisoned over the years before her. She hadn’t deserved this. This Naraku was more powerful than even the Order had imagined.
The girl shook her head slightly and leaned back to the wall behind her, sighing heavily.
It was cold, dark, and eerily silent about her. She dared not make a sound herself, knowing once she let one piece of her go, the insanity would follow soon. Her eyes fell shut once more. Her breathing deepening as she forced herself into hibernation.
Help would come soon….
**75 years later…**
Sesshomaru stayed behind the chatting group by a few feet. His alert hearing listening for any trouble that may be nearing them as they approached Naraku’s barrier.
“Sesshomaru…” It was the one they called Kagome. His slender black brow raised as his ambers dropped down to her a moment in question. “I just want to thank you for helping us with this. I know you and Inuyasha don’t get along, but he really appreciates it…”
“I DON’T APPRECIATE NOTHING!!!”
The hanyou stepped between Kagome and Sesshomaru looking to her with a angered look before he pushed her back to her bicycle, urging her to move on. Sesshomaru stayed silent, his attention diverting to the barrier as they neared it.
A faint scent caught his attention. His stoic expression broke a moment, looking to the sky as thousands of Naraku’s insects descended to attack. With grace and agility, the dog demon summoned his poison whip and slashed each bug to pieces, before relaxing back into his statuesque stance.
Jaken hopped to stand beside his feet, smiling goofily. “My Lord…you could have left them to me. You are too powerful to be playing exterminator with bugs.”
Inuyasha blinked slightly, looking to the rain of bug carcasses about him before snorting slightly, stabbing his Tetsusaiga through the barrier. Grumbling he pressed onwards towards Naraku’s castle. Kagome and the rest followed quickly behind. Sesshomaru taking up the rear again.
Yet something bothered him….
**At the Castle**
“Lord Naraku…” Kagura entered his private quarters, bowing before him a moment. The demon Naraku gestured for her to go on, leaning back a bit as he sat looking up to the full moon. “Inuyasha and others have just crossed the barrier. Kanna has shown me in her mirror. Should I prepare the armies for battle?”
Naraku closed his eyes a moment before moving to stand. His hands brushed off his robes a moment before he turned to face Kagura fully. “I shall take care of this myself. The armies have shown they are no match this time, and from the scents lingering in the air, I believe there are more fighters this time.”
