She hated Naraku. She also hated hauling the damned taijya brat around.
He was like a mindless zombie. Without that jewel shard, he would be. She
could control him the way she desired.

Kagura was in a bad mood. She had followed Kohaku, hoping he would lead
her to Naraku's heart. Instead, he ran into another undead person. None other
thatn Kikyo.

Before anything could be done, however, Naraku showed up with the fuyouheki-
the youki barrier-making Kikyo unable to detect his presence. Trapping her,
he told Kohaku to kill her. Tat's when Inuyahsa and gang showed up, preventing
that from happening.

Now, she and Kohaku were on her giant feather heading home.

"Damn. Since only you were called to Naraku, I thought you were going to where
the baby is."

"The baby... should be nearby..."

"Oh?"

Kohaku kept going.

"Kikyo...was looking for him. Naraku came out just for that."

Shocked Kagura kept listening.

"Surely it was to divert attention from the baby."

"What's wrong with you? It's unusual for you to be so talkative."

Suddenly, Kagura realized something

'It can't be that his memory is returning'

Face set hard, Kohaku to her.

"Kagura... don't you want your freedom?"

'He's talking to me?' she thought

"Heh. So you're after Naraku's life?'

Kohaku just stares at her before responding

"What will you do if I am?"

Standing his ground, Kohaku's hand went to his sickle.

"Tell Naraku?"

Looking back at him, Kagura simply replies.

"Take your hand from your weapon. You're fortunate I don't drop you. Don't worry
Iwon't tell your little secret. It seems you and i have the same issue with Naraku."

With a sly grin, she thought

'At least for now, you'll do the work. For my sake.'
