As I stand here, 10 years after Sesshomaru told me to leave him. After he found me good parents who would love and take care of me. I still can't forget his face. The one who haunts me. I wonder what he was doing at that very moment. The stars would cry for me tonight if they knew how lonely i was without him. They would cry the blackest tears you would ever see.
"Curse the stars, you are the reason Lord Sesshomaru left me aren't you!" I cried out.
If he were here maybe I would feel alive again.
I turned my head slowly towards the oceans air. I sucked in the salty smell. Standing upon vast rolling hills, I cried.
I felt chills all over my body just thinking about him.
"I wonder if hes nearby, I wonder if I will ever see him again" were the questions that quite frankly drilled through my head every single day.
"Here I am pouring my heart onto these rooftops. I feel like a ghost to the world. Not without him here." I have thought about seeking him out. But the disappointment of him not knowing who i was is plaguing me.
"He has to remember me, right? It hasn't been that long ago. But then again a Youkai lives a long time. I bet he still looks the same too." I mumbled to myself.
I look positively different, my figure, my height, my breasts. They were all different, I have finally grown into them. A young girl at 20 must right? This is what I need, I need to not think about him anymore. It hurts me to think about him. I just wonder where he was.
*sesshomaru*
"Jaken could you hurry up...I don't have time for incompetance." Sesshomaru said in a cold tone impatiently.
"Yes Lord Sesshomaru what is the big hurry."
"A check up thats all."
"You mean we have to check up on that human again." Jaken said annoyed that Sesshomaru has anything to do with anyone that is human.
"Yes you fool. You should know what day it is. We always check up on her on this specific day. Just to make sure she is taken care of." Sesshomaru glanced up at the sky. From up here the lights burn like fire. He looked to his left and saw a girl standing there.
"That couldn't be could it?"
This gorgeous creature standing on the hill several hundred feet away. She smelled like a human. Her flesh glimmered in the moonlight. Her black hair danced like it was taunting or soothing a snake.
"Are we done now? She looks fine. Not well fed or anything but she was a stick of a human back then too...Lord Sesshomaru?" Jaken said impatiently.
Sesshomaru hit him on the head to silence him.
"I don't want her to know we are here fool."
*Rin*
I wish the ocean would wash this city up. If he were here....I don't know what I would do.
I felt eyes upon me. I glanced over my shoulder for a split second I saw him. I saw my lord. But in that instant he was gone.
"NO! Do not leave me! Lord Sesshomaru!" I cried I would scream at him if he were here.
*Sesshomaru*
Sesshomaru stopped and listened to her screaming. She missed him. He knew it. But he could not turn back and be in her life. Things would be different. Much different. She might die, he could bring her back.
He wanted to run out and hug her. But he decided against it.
He couldn't ruin her life anymore. It had been 10 long years. She would forget soon, or die trying.
*Rin*
I know he was there!
I must be in his embrace the way I have thought about it every second of every day.
To feel his lips on mine would be like eternal ecstacy. I must find him. I cannot die alone without knowing that he loves me.
This is my dying day, the day I find Lord Sesshomaru. I will do it. I will find him.
I looked down once more onto the roads and lights. I wish it would be sucked into oblivion with everything and everyone in it. Curse the stars.
This is my dying day. I will be with him once more, if I have to do everything in my power to do so.
I walked quickly down to the bottom of the hill. Looked upwards and saw him there, staring at me. Walking towards me! This starts today. My life starts today. The lights starting to dance wildly in my eyes, like a fire burning my insides.
"Lord Sesshomaru" I said not knowing how to act or what to do.
"Hello, Rin"
I jumped in his arms and ran my fingers through his white silky hair. I sucked in his frangrance. He smelled of battle. Wounded not, but the flying dirt must have trampled on his clothes.
His embrace felt like i was flying. I pulled my head back and kissed him on the cheek.
"I've missed you"
"I knew you would" he said not in a cocky tone, but its as if he knew what i felt.
"I love you Sesshomaru.."
He looked deep into my eyes.
"After all this time that has gone by. Your feelings have never faltered. You humans are funny things." he said with a slight smirk.
"Yeah human emotions..."
He kissed me. I felt as if my body was melting into his. The feel of his tongue was like velvet against mine. My heart was pounding so hard.
"Lord Sesshomaru...can we leave this girl now." Jaken said interupting the moment.
We never faltered, we kept right on.
His kisses were passionate. But they were dwindling I knew he was going to leave again. But I wouldn't let him. The anthem of my dying day? If he left I would die right there.
"Rin...we must travel on. We have many things to accomplish on our way." Sesshomaru said in a sad tone.
"Let me go with you Sesshomaru, this town is keeping me up in chains. I just wish it would be sucked into the ocean."
"Rin"
"Sesshomaru, I mean it. Let me come."
He nodded his head. Jaken's mouth hung open.
"Can we finish what we started my lord" I said with a wink.
He smiled at me finally, "Maybe later you pesky human. Right now we have work to do."
I walked behind him pleased knowing that my day would come. Our day was here. And my dying day would not.
