"I can't believe you Inuyasha" Kagome cried with glittering salty tears ablazed on her cheeks.
"I don't need you Kagome. Just go back. Now." Inuyasha said in a fake cold tone.
Kagome ran off into the trees. Her destination was apparent to Inuyasha. She was going home. The danger was getting too real. Too real for her to be hurt by Naraku. Of course she was strong he wasn't trying to deny that. But she had been hurt before, and it weighed on him daily that she may be killed. This girl, he...
"Loves..." he watched her run back home. He followed her.
Shippo was hugging her as she jumped back down through the well to her own time. He scowled at Inuyasha when he saw him peering in.
"Time to carry on...I have demons to fight, and Shards to find."

The ongoing pain in Kagomes heart was hard to get rid of. When she was with him she was infuriated with him. When she was without him....she felt like she was lost. She wondered if Inuyasha would ever think about her.

"Inuyasha, is everything all right?" Sango asked putting a friendly hand on his shoulder.
He jumped at her touch.
"Oh I'm great! Im fantastic."
"There is no need for you to deny how you feel Inuyasha. We all miss Kagome too" Miroku said in a approving tone.
"Dont patronize me monk..I do not miss that girl.." but he did miss her.
He felt like he was falling, tumbling down a vast endless blackhole. When would the madness end. He wanted her back. But he couldn't go get her after he treated her so coldly.

Shippo piped up. "Inuyasha your so mean to Kagome."
Inuyasha looked at Shippo and was going to conk him on the head when he realized he was right. He was mean to her. Very mean indeed.
"You know sometimes I make believe she is here..." he told Miroku so nobody else would hear.
"Why don't you go and get her Inuyasha. We do need her, she can take care of herself."
"But she can't take care of herself! Shes just a human, shes not a priestess. She's...Kagome." Inuyasha felt tears present but pushed them away.
He decided to go and check on her.
He ran quickly through the forest and jumped down the well. He snuck over to Kagome's window. She was on the phone. Laughing and talking. He was glad, but also hurt that she didn't seem to care that Inuyasha wasn't around.
"Feh, I knew she would be okay. She's forgotten all about us" a twinge of pain shot through him.

"Thanks I appreciated the joke. I just feel like i can't laugh. I feel so alone. I know you don't know what I mean. But while I've been away...things have happened."
Silence filled the room.
"I'll talk to you later ok Kagome"
"Yeah, bye"
Kagome slumped down on the bed. The tears became apparent and very real once again.
Inuyasha jumped back through the well. He felt as if he was flying through the air. He never wanted to feel this way again. He just wanted to rip out his heart.
"I hate being half human! Feh, a Hanyou. Damn this beating heart. I wish I could be more like Sesshomaru sometimes"

Inuyasha turned around. It was Kagome standing there in the well with him.
"What are you doing here Kagome! I thought i told you to go."
"Please Inuyasha, will you just hold me."
"Sure Kagome" Inuyasha wrapped his arms around her.
"Please forgive me, I was weak...you ARE strong, you can fight your own battles I just get worried about you."
"I know Inuyasha....but you forget something...." the voice faded away.
Inuyasha shook his head. Damn visions of things that would and will never happen again, shes happy you idiot. Don't ruin that for her.

Kagome rolled over in bed. She clasped her hands together and prayed that Inuyasha would be erased from her mind. She felt a strange sensation come over her. Jewel Shards.
She looked up and saw Shippo at her window. The jewel shards around his neck.
"Shippo!"
"Kagome, everybody is miserable without you."
"I doubt that, I'm sure Inuyasha doesn't care."
"Are you kidding he's the worst"
"What?"that news shocked her.

Inuyasha sat around restless and haunted by Kagomes face.
He saw her everywhere.
In the bushes, in the berries, in that girl with Shippo.
He missed her terribly but he would never tell her that.
"Inuyasha" Kagome jumped into his arms.
The vision actually felt real.
"I missed you." he then realized that this wasn't a vision this was really Kagome.
"I thought i told you to go."
"Don't start with me Inuyasha!!!" Kagome yelled.
"I know you missed me too!" She screamed.
"I DID NOT!" Inuyasha said surprised.
"Yes you did...Shippo told me."
Inuyaha glared at Shippo as he took a step back as he knew what was coming, a strike on the top of his head.
"Stop with your macho attitude Inuyasha, I missed you."
"I dont know what your talking about Kagome. Sango and Miroku might want to see you."
"Ugh!! SIT BOY!"
As Inuyasha's face planted into the ground, and the ground made an indent of the Hanyou, Kagome stalked off confident that she would be sticking around for quite some time. Even if Inuyasha says he didn't miss her. She could tell very well that he did. Everytime.
