Awakening

Disclaimer: I don’t even own dogshit, let alone a super mega great anime. Fuck the laws for reminding me.

Well I decided to take Amy’s challenge on the Kouga/Sango story. It’s going to be hart wit with a good plot I think I can make those two get it on without going out of character. I think. And about the lemon thing, I’ll try not to overdue it. I know it gets tiring at one point. Well whatever, I hope you all like it and Amy, see if it’s what you want.

Mistaking and Misunderstanding
Two steps for blooming love

“Hiraikotsu!”

A giant boomerang sailed the skies as it’s owner used up amazing strenght to send the titanic bone flying through the air and roughly smashing into a giant Ox youkai’s torso which got soon separated from it’s leg as the weapon passed through the body, turning in the air and later returning to it’s master delicate yet firm and strong hands.

“Gotcha!” yelled the brown haired boomerang owner as she clenched her unocupied fist in victory. But she was soon woked up out of her victory trance as a red and white blur flew past her yelling.

“You call that a kill? Watch and learn girl”

The dog Hanyou unsheated his sword raising itve hve his head with both hands. With a quick glint of the eye, he scaned the battlefield for that unique rip. The rip that will surely bring victory to them again.

-Glint-

-Squint-

There it was. Right in the middle off the battle field where all the battle was raging on of course but then, where all his friends were.

“Damn it” He cursed under his breath as he saw Miroku, wind tunnel open, only three feets besides the Wind scar that was created by the wind and aura clashing of the hundred of demons towering over the monk. Just when he tought he was going to have to use his claws, a glowing bright arrow pierced through the mass of demons that couldn’t get sucked up in the abyss, desintegrating the nearest ones to the monk. And before the monk knew he was being tackled by a very fast and on time Kirara. A few meters away, Sango gave the hanyou the thumbs up while fending off the Naraku puppet that started lashing out everywhere with it’s long green tentacles.

“After you swing that toy sword off yours I’ll show you what a real kill is hanyou”

Inuyasha gri at at the comeback and not waiting for a second thought, he left his sword reflect his rightious anger at been attack on Ramen night. After this attack the fight would be over and they could go back to eating Ramen. But what he didn’t expect was the last suicidic attack that the Naraku puppet threw at the Taiyija. Opening up it’s tentacles, Sango took the bait as she took the small chance to throw her Hiraikotsu in a finishing blow. The bone boomerang did hit and destroyed it’s target but the price was to high as the puppet’s trap was left seen when the tentacles that spread open for the attack, actually went underground and behind the oblivious demon slayer grabbing her by the waist and launching her into the horde of demons that were about to recieve Tetsaiga’s wrath. It all happened too fast Sango didn’t know what hit her. First she felt herself beign thrown at the demonic army as she was buried in their cloud. They swramed all over her fast and were rapidly plunging their teeths and claws in her now battered skin. But that torture would soon end as she saw tha flash of light. She saw the power of the wind scar, and she was end of the whole deal. As the light seeped through the gigantic youkai horde, Sango tried her best to get away but the demons, knowing that they were already doomed, decided to take her with them. The light covered the whole horde, there was a moment of silence and almost bliss as everything lay still. But that moment was short as inmense waves of pain washed over her. But then that pain was nothing compared to when the wind started cutting through her body and the demons around her started clamping tight to her form, burning themselves into her slashed flesh. There as pain, lots of awful pain but after a few econds of agonizing, it all stopped. There was nothing. Sango could no longer feel anything as she herself felt empty and....dead.

As soon as Inuyasha heard the agonizing screams of his friend combine with the youkais’ last roar, he knew she wasn’t going to make it but still, he lept to the now glowing cloud of demons and tried his best to get inside and help his friend but the light burned his flesh and no sooner had he plunged his arm inside, he retreated it with a hiss and started backing out with grief plastered all over his face as he saw the cloud was already dispersing and dissapearing out of view. It was then that he saw something solid fall from the remenants of the cloud, as he leapt to the figure, he caught it in mid air and now stared at the bloodied up dead corpse of the former demon exterminator. As soon as he landed, he was attacked by a crying Kagome, who saw the whole thing. The young Miko cried the Taiyijas name as she shook the corpse’s slashed sholders.

“I-Inuyasha.....why isn’t she r-responding?” the miko managed to say between sobs.

The Hanyou couldn’t think up of no consolation words as he hung his head in grieve and defeat and clenched his hand around the fabric of the tattered slayers suit.

“C-Come on Kagome, we better wake Miroku and....explain this. We must g-give her a decent b-burial. Is what she would have want”

“B-but Inuyas—”

“Go!”

It was a simple command but it held the streght off a million emotions, the main one guilt. The young Miko wiped her eyes and nodded as she went look for the fallen monk. He wasn’t going to take the past events well.

And Kagome’s thoughts were right. At first, the lecherous monk didn’t believe a word she told him. It was better for him not to believe because the heart pain alone that came with the thought was killing him. But it was when he saw the battered dead corpse of the youngyijayija, in that single moment, his heart shattered.

“Leave me”

Those were his simple words as he ordered Kagome and Inuyasha, away from the cabin were they layed Sango’s body. The Hanyou and the miko looked with sadness at the heart broken face he wore.

“It’s okay Miroku. We were going. It’s almost a new moon and I would like to have everything ready for the......the burial....before night fall” The Hanyou muttered those words so quietly that if it wasn’t for the inmense silence in the cabin, they would have gone unheard.

The two of them exited the room as Miroku riderected his full attention to the corpse of his secret love. Inmense internal pain took a hold of him, as he hopelessly clutched her limp hands, hoping desperatly that by some miracle, she would return the handshake. But it was truly hopeless as hours passed and he remain in the same position, just looking at her through glassy wet eyes wile clutching with all his strenght. Time seems to stop for the hopeless as before he knew it, a black haired Inuyasha appear through the door and knocked lightly on the walls.

“C’monkmonk. It’s time”

Miroku took one last glance at Sango and released her lifeless hand to hoist her into his arms, carrying her bridal style and walking to the burial grounds.
His soul completly shattered as he looked and aproached with empty eyes, the hole that will bury the love of his life....forever.

As the monk layed the Taiyija, a tearful Kagome and a stone like Inutyasha said their final farewells. And they seemed to remain still in silent prayer as the night went on. Miroku then shook his last hopes out of his body as they started to retreat.

Darkness. Complete and utter darkness. It was horrible. She couldn’t breathe and it was painful as she felt her whole body start to go cold. She was confused at what was happening. Had she died? It felt like it as she floated in some sort of never ending dark realm. For a moment she couldn’t feel anything but then she started feeling something. Small and faint ripples of pain course through her body as she felt as if her veins were being filled with acid. The pain multiplied each time until her whole body was burning raw. Then memories started to come to her face. As she saw before her eyes the fight with the spider youkai at Naraku’s castle. The fight that had taken away her father...and brother. The scene switched to the young boy, attacking her with his chained sickle.

-FLASH-

She felt the pain of the hit in her back as the scene switched to a village. A dead village with no people. Graves lined the village’s insides.

-FLASH-

She felt pain in her heart as the blood inside her burned through her veins. The scnes started switching to lots of events and battles, most of the time she saw her brother’s phantom face looking at her. The scenes, memories of her life kept flicking as she was reminded of all her story and then they stoped, they stopped at a particular face. That of a man with long dark hair and an evil smile. His piercing red eyes penetrating in her skull as he laughed in her face.

“Are you dead Sango?”

The man spoke to her and his words danced through her head, each time giving her a new wave of hate towards him.

“dead...dead...dead...dead”

Her blood boiled, burning her veins as it coursed throughout her whole body that was no longer cold but on fire. As she reunited her hate towards the man her body jerked and a piercing scream was let out of her mouth.

They were starting to retreat when all of a sudden they turned their heads towards the grave as they felt the ground tremble a little. And before they knew it, a hand shot out of the bulge of dirt in the grassy fields and a scream met their ears.

“I will not die!”

Those words alone shocked them as the person they thought as dead rose from her own grave with piercing red eyes full of anger. There was a deep growl in the air as the revived Taiyija stared at the three astounded travelers. Fear seeped in their veins when they didn’t see recognizement in her face.

“S-Sango?” Kagome asked with a little fear.

The young dirty exterminator raised her body completely as she stared with red eyes at the people infront of her. Then there was a gasp, and she closed her eyes as she fell again into the dirt of her grave.

Miroku came rushing in fast as he grabbed her body in his arms. He looked into her features and fell silent.

“What is it monk? Is she dead?” Inuyasha’s husky voice penetrated the silence.

Then Inuyasha couldn’t believe his human ears as he heard laughter. The monk was laughing, and it was getting histerical. But then he managed to hear something in between laughter.

“S-she’s alive! She’s alive Inuyasha! Unconsious but alive!”

Kagome’s teary face lit up as a smile crept on her face. Then she turned her joyful face to the Hanyou and was surprise to see him smiling. This truly was a weird confusing yet happy turn of events, and Inuyasha wasn’t going to question it, although, that feeling he felt when the slayer woke up. There was something definetly wrong there. It was something he had to find out later for he saw it was a new and bright day as the sun started creeping from the horizon.

Somewhere on the mountains, a whirlwind dustdust and air came to a stop as a male figure could be seen in between the dust cloud that was slowly settling on the floor. The male figure clenched his fist as he turned his face to the south.

“Something happened. What is this feeling......Kagome. It must be time”

And with a quick glance at the mountains, the figure kicked up his feet, lifting up a new cloud of dust and yet again forming the dirt whirlwind as he sped downwards, towards the desert below the mountain.
