Slave of Love

Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha. It belongs to Rumiko Takahashi. Nor the book "Enslaved" by V. Henley.

A/N: Its based on the novel by V. Henley "Enslaved". It's settled in the period of the regency in England around 1790 and the time of the roman occupation in England in the 61 AD. Ok, there are OOCness, but I had to if not they wouldn't feet the role. Please, IF you flame...try to be nice about it, ok?;)

Chapter 1: "A Rebellious Lady"

Lady Kagome was beginning to get aroused little by little. Even though it was extremely early, once again the sheets had call out to her, so she gave in to practice her favorite hobby.
In the past couple of years she had made a drastic change and was starting to rebel.

A delicious gasp escaped from her when she realized the clear sexual connotation of the man's words. He wouldn't take no for an answer; a small sensual tremble run through her entire body. He was tall, dominant and dangerous, exactly how a true man should be, and his bold advances made her melt to the spine.

Her nipples were so hard that started to ache. Her feminine centre began to feel like if thousand of butterflies where hosted there. The hand went underneath the nightgown and grabbed one of the young breasts, increasing her breath. Even though right in that moment she felt wicked, Kagome ignored the slight feeling of guilt and arched her womanhood as a response to the provocative tickles his body send her.

A curse escaped her lips when suddenly the candle's flame died. She was at the best part of the chapter. She took her hand off her aching breast and closed harshly the book she was reading, about the sexual life of one of their past kings.

She lit the candle again, finished the chapter, and sighed in longing. She would have rather lived in any other period of history than the one she now lived. That was why she loved to read. She could travel to the past with the help of her books and her imagination. She was fascinated mostly with the Elizabethan period, and knew how to read and speak in Latin and Italian, not very common among the young ladies in these days. She also fantasized about the men. Men before were real men, strong, courageous warriors, not like the men in her time that were, well, just...not.

And another thing about her time was... Boredom. Life was boring, men were boring, even women were boring. One had to be a "lady" 24 hours a day; no fun, definitely no "mask balls", they weren't appropriate for "Real Ladies" and of course reaching the age of 17, you had to begin looking for a suitable husband. It was such a drag been of noble blood sometimes.

‘Non respectable people really have a good time, as also the "company ladies", going to balls and everything.’ Kagome thought. ‘What I wouldn't give for going to a mask ball, like them, instead of assisting to teas.’ Kagome sighed, thinking how she would love to wear a sexy costume.

As she rolled over to blow the candle off, she caught a glimpse of her reflection on the mirror. She frowned. She did not like what she saw, not that she was ugly, mind you. She was beautiful, her waist long raven hair framed her precious innocent face, eyes with the color of a stormy sea surrounded by long curly eye-lashes, full cherry lips, and a tiny elegant nose. Her body, unlike her face, had no trace of innocence, it was the body meant for a goddess. A long pair of sinuous legs, where a man could lost himself with, hips that begged for strong hands to be grab and young full breasts that would have made any other woman jealous. No she was not ugly, but now looking at herself she was frowning.

“I hate this nightgown, it's so...so...respectable.” Kagome said, as she reached for the candle and blow the flame, letting sleep claim her as the room faded into the blackness of night.

“Wake up Kagome, it's late and today we start our dancing lessons with Miss Jurei.” Her cousin Kikyo told her.

She had been living with her uncle for over two years already, after her parents death. She had no one else but her father's younger brother and his daughter as family to look after her and her inherited money until she reached her majority age, or got married, with the approval of her legal guardian, of course.

But her uncle Naraku greed her money, so it was possible for her to have nothing left of it when she reached her legal independence age, and she had to wait until her next birthday for that to happen.

“Look at you! Your a mess, how can you be so careless? Please get ready and come down stairs so we can go. Oh, and wear that brown dress father gave you last time, it's very respectable.” With that she was out of the room.

Kagome sighed and got out of bed to start changing into that horrible brown dress.

“How can somebody like a brown dress, I mean, it's dull, even for the ugliest woman in the world!” She sighed. “Except maybe her. She must really hate intense colors, surely because they don't suit her.”

Kikyo was three years older than Kagome and unlike her cousin, she had different coloring; she was blond, with honey brown eyes, her hair wasn't as wavy as Kagome's, but all and all, she wasn't ugly, in fact she looked a lot like Kagome, except that she was dull when it came in comparison to Kagome's exotic, sensual looks. And the fact that she always wore that frigid cold face didn't help either. It made her look older than she already was.

When she was done with the torture that consisted on tying the corset she fitted the dress. With her hair in a tight bon, so the wig could fit, she was ready to leave. Kikyo was already waiting next to the door, tapping her foot impatiently on the marble floor.

“Finally. Come on, or we will be late, and I don't want for Miss Jurei to have a bad impression of me.”

‘Like if that was possible.’ Thought Kagome rolling her eyes, following her cousin to the carriage.

The place wasn't very far; in fact one could go walking. But Kikyo never walked, no respectable
lady walked. When they reached the centre, they walked in. Miss Jurei was waiting for them, with a stone like face.

“You are late, ladies.” She said in an icy voice.

‘Careful now Kagome, "Dragon Face" ahead.’ She thought. ‘Mmm...Miss Jurei reminds me of someone... Oh my god, she reminds me of Kikyo! Great, now I'm surrounded by them!’ She had to contain herself from smiling at her childish thoughts.

“We are sorry Miss Jurei, but we had an inconvenient. It won't happen again, I promise.” Kikyo said, while glaring at Kagome, who all of the sudden found the ceiling to be of the most interesting nature.

“I surely hope so. Well, shall we begin? We will start with the fan language.”

As the hour pass they learned the basic way to flirt, and give a gentleman a furtive message.

“Focus on what your doing Lady Kagome.” Her teacher reprimanded her . “You are never to found a suitable husband if you don’t know how to handle a fan correctly.”

Kagome rolled her eyes. ‘Good, because I don't want to marry any of those peacocks, that spend more time in front of the mirror than myself.’ “I'm sorry Miss Jurei, it is just that my mind is off to somewhere else today, I'll be paying attention now.” Came Kagome's reply.

“I certainly hope so, Lady Kagome, for if you not I shall see myself obliged to tell your uncle, Mr. Higurashi.” Miss Jurei said.

Kagome swallowed a sharp remark and continued with her lessons. As the class came to an end Miss Jurei spoke.

“Very good Miss Kikyo, you have mastered it for completely, you will have a wonderful success among the circle of young presentable ladies. As for you lady Kagome, you caught it right also, but you must learn to pay attention to what you do. Well, I will see you next class, and please try to make it on time. Good day.” And with that she disappeared into the back room.

“See, I told you we would be late, this is all your fault.” Kikyo blamed her.

“Would you relax! We were only a few minutes late, and for that matter...you could have woken me up early. So if we think about it , it's your fault actually.”

“You can't even have a normal conversation. And it was not my fault.” She replied coldly.

“You call a normal conversation to one where you keep blaming me for everything wrong in your life?” Kagome snapped back. ‘I don't want to know when she is having a weird one.’

“Enough. This subject of matter is over.” And with that she turned around and climbed to the carriage, waiting for Kagome to climb.

“Go ahead without me, I'm going for a walk.”

“Humph, do as you like, but don't say I didn't advice you against it.” She said before closing the door and telling the driver to take her home.

‘Stuck up bitch, who died and made her Queen? Ice Queen, for that matter.’ She thought sighing. ‘Well, never mind her, she is always like that, you know it Kagome, don't let her get to you, just go for a walk and everything will be fine.’ She thought to herself as she began her walk towards the house.

Naraku Higurashi was in the office that had once belonged to his older brother "Sir Kano Higurashi", an ugly smirk adorning his face. He was a man in his late four-tees; some could think him handsome with his dark deep eyes, that could make one shiver from apprehension and black wavy hair, all in it's place with the exception of a couple of white hairs. Apart from that he didn’t look much older than in his youth, he still kept the intimidating posture that had earned him so many feared looks among the "good people".

But right now he cared about nothing except one thing; His niece, Kagome. He had to find a way to keep her money, or at list find some imbecile lad, that would be willing to marry her for the price of a monthly pension that would allow them to live with comfort. But what kind of stupid, would agree? The answer came clear and loud.....a gambler, a man with debts to pay and little incomings to pay them.

He let out a small chuckle. ‘Now the thing is...who and where will the lucky one be?’

A/N: Sorry for the grammar tell me what you think. Is it very confusing? R&R, people! Ja!
