How Mimiko Met Inuyasha&Friends

Mimiko was brought into the little hut.The couple looked at the small child in the basket.She was asleep sucking at her chubby thumb,she wore a pink bonnet over her head all of her hair hidden under it.The couple,still staring at the infant that they found at the door step just a half an hour ago.

Erikima,who was just seconds ago jumped up and down with excitment about having a new little sister was inturrupted by the male of the couple,her father Zenith.Zenith, "Erikima we cant keep her,she is probobly just another villagers and they forgot about her," he said hopfuly."On our door step Dad?Come on,im smart enough not to believe in that sad lie," Erikima said.Her dad was about to lectuer her about talking like that to him when he was inturrupted by the female of the couple, Erikima's mother Yoshika.Yoshika held up a pice of writing in her hands and read aloud,

This message is to whom so ever found my child,
By the time you read this letter I shall already be leaving this world.I do noow wow who
will be reading this letter,but I hope you take care and love Mimiko,my two year old daughter.She is truly special and I am sure you will soon figure that out for your self.Do not try to look for me,find out where she came from,or who her relitives are because we are now gone none of us surrvived the brutal attack but Mimiko.Please love and take care of her as if she were your own.

The woman looked up at her companion.He thought of what she just read aloud and said," Yoshika do you really want to care for her,I mean we can bearly manage to afoard our
selfs and Erikima."The woman grined wide and said,"Honey she needs our help and I can no longer can have children I am so afraid I will have a miss carrage again,"she said this with tears swelling in her eyes,"Besides Erikima wants a little sisster and I'm not complaining."

Erikima's eyes sparkled and she emidiantly ran to her parants,thanked them both,and hugged them tightly.She waerlyerly four but still longed for a sisster to play with,teach to,and talk to. She then ran to the basket and kissed Mimiko's four head and said,"Hello Mimiko your now apart of the family,you are now a Himara,you are now my sisster.”Her mother came up behind her her mother scooped the baby up in her arms and said"Come on Erikima I have warmed up a bath for us we shall wash the baby too.As they left her father,her mother told her father she also warmed a bath for him in a seprate room in the hut.

They discarded their clothing then Erikima moved toward Mimiko to undress her as well.First she un-tied the bonnet then started to take it off,but stopped when she saw a small strand of silky,shiny pink hair slip out and adorn her chibbi-like face.She quikly grabbed the bonnet off of Mimiko's head and watched wide eyed as Mimiko's short silky pink hair fell down and reached up to her shoulders.But the babies hair was'nt exactly why Erikima's eyes bugged out in awe.It was the ears,Mimiko's ears were not at the side of her head,but they were at the top.They were gorgous they were as big as a kittens ears were,she had silky pink cat ears!They really were attached to her head.She heard a small wimper comming from Mimiko and Erikima noticed that she must of woken her up while taking the bonnet off.

She looked at the girls face and gasped,they were so beautiful,they looked frosty or murky...well she could not quite explain what they looked like!They were her eyes she was looking at.Those eyes those ears the miscoloration of her hair!She then studyed the baby looking at her face she also noticed markings on Mimiko's face,they were black lines small and at the very side but there were a couple on each side if her face.They were kinda like wiskers Erikima thought in her head,then she had another thought and quikly turned her head to the childs hands.They looked normal then Erikima took the chubby hands into her own.She looked at the palms then flipped over the hand and looked at the stubby fingers.She sqeezed under Mimiko's sharp looking finger nail and watched in amazment as the the nail began to come out longer.She then let go hearing Mimiko cry she watched as the finger nail sunk back into the finger.

Yoshika, Erikima's mother,got up wondering why it was taking so long for Erikima to bring Mimiko to the bath.She walked towards Erikima, Erikima's back turn towards her,Yoshika began to speak when Erikima spoke first,"Mommy look at how beautiful Mimiko is,"she then turned around,stood up,and Yoshika saw her she saw Mimiko is her arms.Yoshika gasped, Mimiko was a hanyou she was half demon-half human,half cat demon that is,and from the looks of it an artic cat demon,for cat demons of the artic were the only ones who had eyes icy-cold,frosty.

Her mother just stood there her mom blinked alot as if triying to stop seeing somyhing she did not want to see.Yoshika quickly stopped staring into space,she rememberd that a demon has not yet attacked their village and so Erikima did not know about them."Ok,Erikima yes she is beautiful,now you and Mimiko hurry to bath it will get cold if you dont.Im done so ill just get dressed and go see if your father is finished.Come to the dinning area as soon as you two are done,"Yoshika said,She then got dressed and left the room.Erikima shrugged and took Mimiko and herself to the bath.

Yoshika saw her husband outside feeding the village horses.She went up to him and said,"Hello dear feeding the horses i see?"Zenith just looked at his wife he diddent like the *i need to talk to you face*expression she wore."Hello,sweety what brings you out here,the sun is about to set it will get dark soon,"he replied with a fake smile across his face."She searched his eyes for eye contact and when she had it she said,"Honey its Mimiko im not sure...."Zenith"Honey if you are having second thoughts about her then if you want me to ill see if any other villagers might..."No!Its not that listen I was waiting for Erikima to bring Mimiko to the bath when I soon became impationt and came out and walked towards the two.Erikima saw me and told me to look at how pretty Mimiko was.Then she turned around and in her arms was Mimiko,she had cat ears,icy eyes,wisker markings on her face,pink hair.Oh Zenith sheis a hanyou!"Yoshika finished breathing hard because she said it all so fast!

He just stood there.How could they aford to take care of a hanyou?He thought more,he knew there were no villagers that would want to take care of a hanyou.He looked at his wife she now was looking at him.She couldent speak so he dicided to,"Well it that a problem?I mean the letter did say she was{special}right?"He looked at her she was thinking.She was very deep in thought how could they take care of a…,she then rememberd a story....

~~~FLASH BACK~~~
"Did you like that story Yoshika?"Yoshika looked up at her father.He was telling her a bed time story."Yes,Daddy I did...Daddy is that story true?"Yoshika asked.Her father answerd,"Yes,it is.I heard it from a friend who says that the event happened in a village around some-what in the area of Musashi.Also that tommorow will make it officialy twenty years since the event.That means it will be on you seventh birthday Yoshika!"

Yoshika smiled,then frowned."Thats cool,but daddy I dont understand why do people noke hke haaan..yooouu...ssss, hanyous?Her father looked at her then asked,"Why do you ask Yoshika?"Yoshika looked at him with saddened eyes and answerd , "Because,if those people made fun of hanyous liku sau said than....the silver haired hanyou must have had a good reason to take that jewl!He must have wanted to fit in with the demons,and the pristess lady pinned to to a tree!People should treat hanyous like any other persons!"Her father looked at her with concern than kissed her good night and left.Than she fell asleep.

Yoshika thought,"wow that was seventeen years ago." Yoshika looked up at the man standing before her she then spoke,"No,that doesent matter at all.I...we shall be Mimiko's parents."Then the two made their way to the hut.

Mimiko was now nine she had to start getting educated and she thought it was boring but did she have a choice?Her sister was now eleven and , she had to start learning mommy like things.Mimiko and Erikima were playing tag when soon a boy wanted to play with Erikima.Erikima told him that she was playing with Mimiko and thats when things got hard for Mimiko.Erikima already knew about demons because she was told by her parents about them when she turned nine.The boy started to tell Mimiko to get lost so he could play with her sister.Thats when she heard it,thats when Mimiko's life whent from pleasent to almost horrible she was for the first time called a "dirty half-breed"!

She diddent quite understand what that ment that day,but other children who did hear this started to chant"half-breed"with him.Erikima then slaped him across the face and took Mimiko's hand and ran home.Erikima told their parents everything and than their mother took Mimiko and hugged her.She diddent know why,but her mom did.That night her parents told her what demons were,how to protect herself from them,and how she too was part of them.

That explained alot to Mimiko.She always wondered why she had cat ears,why could she climb better than every one,well acctualy just why she was so diffrant?She learned how to have pride and dignity how to be polite and conciderate that year.She knew even though she was in a world where there was no place for her,that she was important to her family and that was her place in the world.
