Chapter 1:The Truth Shall Set Him Free

It’s yet another night in the feudal era of Japan. Inuyasha and Kagome are taking a romantic walk through the moonlight. Pondering how their destinies have intertwined. In the nearby village, their band of friends wonders where they have gotten off to. The two both love each other, but are afraid to admit their feelings. Tonight it will all change.
He looks so dashing, standing there in the moonlight, his hair glistening like a thousand white hot strands of silver. It’s only been a few months since we first met, on that fateful day when Lady Centipede pulled me into the Sacred Well. I remember seeing him there. His cherubic face looking so calm and peaceful, as he lay unconscious stuck to the God Tree. When I first frhim him I thought he was a jerk. But now I know I love him but why cant' I admit my feelings to him? Oh yeah that's right, he still loves HER, not me.
Oh Inuyasha why can’t you realize that Kikyo just wants to kill you, I want you to live, even if you don't love me back.

How can she just stand there staring at me? Hmm, it must be this moonlight, she looks absolutely gorgeous tonight, and I wish things were different between us.
Her long black hair falling down to her waist, just gracefully sliding down the back of her high school uniform, and those eyes, it’s almost as if their boring right into my soul.
I wish I could tell her the truth but what would that do. Can I even give her my love, the love that I promised to Kikyo so long ago? I know Kikyo doesn't love me anymore and wishes to kill me, but if she's moved on aren't I no longer obligated to love her, cant I give the love I had for her to Kagome? It's so unfair, but I guess its time I finally made my choice, time I finally told Kagome the truth.

"Ka... Kagome."
"Uh. Um... Yeah Inuyasha?"
"Kagome I've been thinking for as long time and I've finally made a decision between you and Kikyo"
"No, Inuyasha please I don't want to know. I already knew you had to choose her, but please don't let me hear you say it. And why shouldn't you take her over me. She's everything that I'm not, composed, sexy, powerful, and more useful in a fight."
"Kagome... "
"I know you promised her your love a long time ago, but its over. Don't you know that she just acts like she loves you so she can draw you both into the gates of hell? She even threatened me not to get to close to you, but... but I can’t let her do that. I won't let her; I'd rather die in your place then let her kill you. Inuyasha... I...I love you. And even if you don't feel the same way you will always have my heart."
"Oh Kagome."
The half-youkai reaches out and pulls her into the deep red folds of his outer robe; startling her with his sudden embrace.
"Kagome, how could you ever think t You You are such a stupid baka. Yes I did love Kikyo long ago, but that was long ago. I've found another. I know she wants to kill you and me but I will never you you die. Kagome... I love you too. I love you with every part of my being. I've kept my feelings from you for long enough."
"Oh Inuyasha"
"Kagome"
They stare deep within in each other's eyes. Ever so slowly their faces come together in a tender kiss. Soon it deepens and they jutandtand there like that in the moonlight until they can't breathe anymore and they separate.
"Inuyasha, I love you and I don't want you to ever leave me"
"Kagome don't worry, I won't."
"...I think it's time,"
"Time for what?"
"I need to really find out if you truly love me"
"Kagome what are you..."
The miko interrupts him with another kiss. This time it’s more passionate though. Her arms come round his head and she pulls him closer into her. He responds the same way. Their hands roaming up and down tangling in each others long hair. Then her hands take a detour. They go around his neck and grab the rosary of beads that was her only means of controlling him. And with a quick snap, she broke them and sets him free of the spell. He breaks the kiss, realizing what she has just done.
"Thank you...Kagome but I still love you and I won't ever leave"
"I've been waiting to hear that for so long"
"Don't worry, it won't be the last time you hear it either."
He leans in again and captures her lips with his. They melt into each other until they can't breathe anymore. He acts brazen and genlicklicks her lips. She allows him entrance and their tongues dance for control Kagome can't take it anymore and her knees give way beneath her. Inuyasha gently holds her there until the kiss breaks.
"Kagome”
"Inuyasha"
Everything else melts away, and only the two of them remain. He lays her on the ground and he takes off his outer uwagi and lays it on the ground, its red folds making a soft blanket for the two of them to lie down upon. They sit down and Kagome snuggles into the crook of Inuyasha's neck. They just stay there gazing peacefully at the moon until they fall asleep in each others arms.
...
They wake up to the sound of voices.
"It's about time they told each other how they felt."
"Oh yeah, Master Inuyasha and Lady Kagome are finally together, what a glorious day."
"Miyoga, I swear you are just as bad as Miroku over there. Come on, lets leave them be."
"Hey Sango, since everyone is finally getting romantic with one another, how about you decide to bare my heir."
SMACK!!!!!
"What? It was only a suggestion!"
But totally worth the pain. Miroku thinks as he rubs at the fresh red hand print across his cheek.
"Oh Miroku, you are such a lecher." says Shippou.
Their friends walk off leaving the two of them, apparently sleeping, as they had found them. Little did they know the two of them had heard everything they said?
...
"Kagome, you know they're right."
"Yes, I know, and I couldn't be happier."
"I love you Kagome."
"And I you, Inuyasha"
