A Dangerous Substitute

AN: ok we all know I do not own Inuyasha. I hope this turns out ok, I don’t mind flames. Just as long as it’s your honest opinion.


Here goes my first Inu-fic.

“oh Inuyasha, how many times must I tell you, I do not need your protection” kikyou’s voice rang into the hanyou’s ears.

Inuyasha blinked as he felt the all to familiar blade in Kikyo’s hand. “Kikyou I will not stop, I made a promise” he said aga again, hoping for a more positive response.

Inuyasha could fell the heat rise in him as he felt the eyes of his companions on him. “don’t be so pitiful Inuyasha, I’ll do my own fighting.”

And with that she was gone again. Inuyasha looked up to where she had last been , but was soon interrupted buy a painful high pitch yell, coming from Kagome.

“Inuyasha!” the hanyou winced, and turned to see her anger filled tear stained eyes. “Oi wench, don’t cry, this is no of your concern” Inuyasha said calmly.

Kagome was taking back for a second, feeling extremely confused that he didn’t blow up on her. But as soon as that feeling came, it left just as quickly, filling herself back up with rage.

‘How dare he say such a thing!’ she thought as she run up to him and pushed him with all her might, which only caused him to stumble back a couple steps.

“OH COURSE ITS MY BUSNIESS! THAT BITCH IS HURTING YOU, AND ALL YOU CAN DO IS CONTINUE TO PROTECT HER!! WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO REALISE THAT HER LOVE FOR YOU IS ONLY TO BE GIVEN AT A PRICE, THAT YOU MUST DO WHATEVER SHE WISHES AND THEN SHE’LL LOVE YOU! I CARE FOR YOU REGARLESS IF YOU’RE A DEAMON, A HUMAN, WHATEVER!!! WHEN IS YOUR THICK SKULL GOING TO COMPREHEND THAT KIKYOu’S LOVE IS LIMITED!!” Kagome let in the air she desperately needed.

All of her bottled up feelings in the past 3 years, unleashed in full force. Inuyasha growled deeply and turned away from her.

Sango’s mouth was a gape, and listening intently for the hanyou’s next response. Miroku’s bug eyed expression didn’t change since the whole scene occurred.

Apparently Miroku hadn’t noticed that he was squeezing Shippou in his arms. The poor kitsune was struggling in the monks arms, fighting for air.

“feh, you know what Kagome, maybe you should just go home for a couple days, you know to cool off and get off my FUCKING BACK!” he attempted to say calmly, but then failed.

Kagome bit her lip to hold back a scream. “fine, but I’m coming back when I want to” she said through clenched teeth.

She turned at started to walk away from the hanyou, but then turned back to see him continuing to stare at the spot Kikyo had once occupied.

“you’re hopeless” she muttered under her breath. “I heard that!” Inuyasha yelled turning to look at her retreating figure.

“well baka, maybe I wanted you to hear it!” she yelled back, continuing to walk to the others. Miroku just shook his head.

“aren’t they ever going to get over themselves, and tell each other how they feel, its been 3 years” Miroku said sounding annoyed. “not with Inuyasha being such an ass” Sango said, equally sounding fed up.

Shippou just gave them a quick nod in agreement and leapt out of Miroku’s arms and into Kagome’s. “please don’t go! Inuyasha just needs to get over his pride, don’t go” Shippou pleaded.

However, Shippou knew no matter what lame excuse he made for the hanyou, or the amount of pleading he did. Kagome was still going to go back.

Kagome forced a smile on her face. “Shippou I’ll be back before you know it, plus I should go back and catch up on school” she said while pushing his orange colored hair to one side, trying to reassure the little kitsune.

She could hear one of Inuyasha’s famous “fehs’, and she just glared at him. “Sango can you please take extra care of Shippou for me, I don’t want Inuyasha to take advantage of my absence” she said sweetly, but still continued tck gck glares with the angry hanyou.

“of course Kagome” Sango said reassuringly. Sango then took Shippou from Kagome’s arms. Kagome placed a kiss on Shippou’s head.

“don’t be to long Lady Kagome” Miroku said smiling at her. Kagome looked up and returned a sweet smile. “I don’t think we can handle Inuyasha without you for so long” Kagome giggled shaking her head.

“don’t worry I just need a little brake” he nodded. “oh and Inuyasha!” Kagome called a little to sweetly. “SIT!” Kagome heard the loud familiar thud, and then Inuyasha colorful language.

And with that Kagome left for the hut to retrieve her things, and headed back to her time.

Kagome climbed up the ladder and swung herself over the well. She straitened herself out and secured the red bag hanging off her shoulder.

She walked up the front step and was about to open the door when it swung open. Kagome’s mother was standing in front of her, smiling her usual cavity giving smile.

“Kagome, your back, we have a little surprise for you” Mrs. Higurashi said happily, while pulling Kagome quickly into the house and into the kitchen.

“why are you so happy mom?” Kagome asked suspiciously, trying to push her jet black hair out of her face. “you’ll see” Her sweet voice sung.

Kagome opened her mouth to question her mother again but then closed it shut when she saw a tall, read head with sparkly blue eyes.

“Nicole, when did you get it?” Kagome said awestruck. “hey to you to cuz, what no how are you, no how is New York?” she smiled brightly. Kagome smiled just as bright, almost forgetting her fight with Inuyasha.

She ran up to Nicole and gave her a bone crushing hug. “I’m sorry I’m just so shocked that you’re actually here” Nicole just laughed as she pulled away examining Kagome.

“no worries hun! Wow you’ve grown up so much! You look so beautiful” Nicole said happily. Kagome couldn’t help but blush.

It was the truth, Kagome had grown up to be a breathtaking 18 years old. Her body had received its womanly curves, and her face had matured a great deal.

Her baby fat gone, with stunning high check bones, large full lips that would make even Angelina Jolie jealous. Her face was set with breathtaking bright green eyes. Not to mention her now ass length, jet black hair.

“well if only Inuyasha would notice” she said without even realizing it. Nicole laughed and places her hands on the sides of kagome’s face. “don’t worry about that Inu-whatever guy, that baka must be blind”

Kagome blushed again while trying to pull away from her cousins hands. “Kagome, honey, why don’t you take Nicole up to your room and catch up more, while I make dinner”

Kagome jumped at her mothers words, apparently she forgot she was there. “sure mom, come one its this way” Kagome said brightly, while she grabbed Nicole’s wrist, pulling her to the direction.

A few moments later Nicole was closing Kagome’s bedroom door behind her. Kagome soon flopped on her bed, looking toward the window.

“so your having a bit of guy problems huh?” Nicole said with a bit of concern in her voice. “hey don’t worry about it I bet the as a q a queer anyway” Kagome could only laugh.

“you know I can fuck him up for you if you want me to” she added while slamming her closed fist into her open palm. Kagome silently thanked her and shook her head.

“well no worries, guys are only good for two things anyway” Nicole said while examining one of Kagome’s book shelves. Kagome gave her cousin, and long time friend a look of interest.

“OH COME ONE KAG! Number one is fucking and number to is buying you what ever you want” she said in a ‘as a matter of fact tone’. Kagome blushed at the that of Inuyasha going any of that.

Kagome finally got the courage to respond to that when Nicole cut her off. “I got it!” she said excitedly, jumping up and down. “what are you scheming Nikky?” Kagome said quickly in a scared tone.

Nicole responded by smiling evilly at her, while swaying her hips as she walked up to her. “welll…I was planning on getting together with some old friends at a party tonight after dinner…” Kagome just gave her yet another questioning look.

“oh Kag don’t act so stupid! Come with me and forget about that jerk for tonight. Have some fun with me” Kagome was taken back at the invitation, and thought about it for a second. ‘it would serve him right’ the thought rang through her head.

Kagome sat there in silence for a while, debating weather or not she should go. But the silence was soon killed by Nicole. “come on! I’m 22 and I’m horny! Plus you really need to get your ass out of the house more often” She pleaded.

“hey! Who says I don’t go out!” Kagome yelled in protest, placing her hands on her hips. “then prove it, just one night at least. I promise you will not regret it” Nicole placed her hands on top of Kagome’s.

Kagome automatically winced when her cousin started to give her ‘the puppy dog look‘. Kagome sighed, while her defenses broke. She took in a deep breath and nodded.

Nicole jumped in excitement while hugging her cousin tightly. “Fuck yeah! Now all we need to do is pick you out a decent outfit, you can have one of mine” Kagome gasped pretending to be hurt. “hey!” Nicole just giggled and then turn to ransack her suitcase.

“Inuyasha! Why do you always have to make Kagome angry and leave” Shippou yelled. Obviously the kitsune still hadn’t forgiven the hanyou.

Inuyasha continued to ignore him. His head was bowed down causing his silver hair to cascade over his face like a waterfall.

“you know Inuyasha, Kagome is right, she’s only trying to save you from heartache” Sango said in a wise tone, while pulling her long brown hair into a high ponytail.

Inuyasha looked up with angerzingzing through his amber eyes. “look I know why she said what she did ok!” Miroku and Sango sighed in defeat.

Unfortunately for Inuyasha the little kitsune was not finished. “obviously not if she gone!” Shippou yelled, hurting Inuyasha’s sensitive ears.

Inuyasha only smiled evilly at Sou, ou, while he grabbed Miroku’s staff and collided it onto the little kitsune’s head. “Inuyasha!” Sango yelled picking up Shippou from the floor.

Miroku just started to rub his temples. “I hope Lady Kagome returns soon” Sango nodded in agreement as she sat next to Miroku with Shippou in her hands.

Even though Miroku had a splitting headache, he could not let the opportunity slip, and took advantage of Sango’s closeness by giving her an affectionate love rub on her lower region. “PERVERT!” Sango yelled screeching.

Sango then imitate Inuyasha, by grabbing Miroku’s staff and attacking the monk with it. Inuyasha clasped her sensitive ears with his hand and looked at the ‘couple’ in annoyance. “yeah we defiantly need Kagome here” he muttered under his breath.

As he continued to watch the two he could help but feel that Kagome really need him.

After dinner Kagome and Nicole got ready for the party in the bathroom. Kagome had just finished aplying her black eyeliner and maroon lipstick, when Nicole yelled “done!”

Kagome looked over at her at smiled. She was beautiful. Nicole was wearing a dark blue sparkly spaghetti strap mini dress. She had on 4 inch matching heals, and her hair was tied up in a lose bun with two strands of red hair hugging the sides of her face.

“you look beyond gorgeous” Kagome said happily. ‘maybe it wont be so bad after all’ she thought happily. She made her way to the full length mirror to examine herself.

She was wearing a maroon corset top that had big London bell sleeves, and a black mini skirt. She examined her fishnet tights, and her 5 inch stiletto black high heals, with a diamond ankle strap. Her hair was down and slightly curled at the ends.

Kagome’s thoughts soon drifted back to Inuyasha, but then she was soon interrupted by Nicole. “so how do you like my style of clothing?” Kagome smiled and turned to look at her cousin. “I look like a slut, but I like it”

Nicole laughed and punched her playfully on the arm. “bitch, now come on we better go before we miss everything”

Kagome and Nicole entered the overly crowded house. Nicole held onto Kagome’s hand to keep her from getting lost in the crowd filled room. Kagome could only just gawk and take in everything.

Couples of many kinds sprawled out everywhere making out. Smoke and liquor filled the air, along with ear splitting music.

OrGy was playing, and Kagome couldn’t help but nod her head along with it. She continued to be dragged on by Nicole, but she didn’t mind. ’Slept so long’ came blaring out of the speakers, and Kagome couldn’t help but feel her heart break while listening to the lyrics…

‘I see hell in your eyes,
Taken in by surprise,
And touching you makes me feel alive,
Touching you makes me die inside…’

The song soon faded into another tragic song that sent Kagome over the edge. The cults ’painted on my heart played as Kagome let her tears fall freely…

Nicole could feel Kagome stiffen. She turned quickly only to see Kagome’s tear stained face. “oh Kag, come here” she said with concern, as she pulled her into a tight hug.

Kagome couldn’t help it and started to sob into her cousin’s arms. Nicole pulled back and grabbed her arm once more pulling her ithe the bathroom.

“shh…Kag its going to be ok don’t worry about it, I’m right here” Nicole said soothingly. Kagome took a seat on the toilet, her hands buried in her face.

“oh kag, get a hold of yourself, don’t hide that pretty face, no man is worth your tears” Nicole said rubbing her back affectionately. “why can’t that prick care enough to love me!” Kagome yelled, and continued to sob more violently.

Nicole looked from Kagome to her purse. “kag, he doesn’t deserve you” Kagome looked up at her cousin in disbelief. “I got something for you” Nicole said sweetly.

Kagome looked at her in confusion, as Nicole went digging in her purse. “AH HA!” She said triumphantly. She pulled out a large altoids metal container. “here!” Nicole said smiling.

Kagome raised an eyebrow at her. “just open it, but be careful when you do” she said quickly. Kagome eyed her cousin and then the metal container. Her curiosity soon got the better of her and she opened it as if she were handling a bomb.

There was a white powder substance. “oh my god! Nikky this is cocaine!” Kagome yelled in disbelief. “shh…hun, not so loud, people will be coming in to jack it from you” Kagome continued to stare at her.

“Kag…this stuff will help you forget about that asshole” Kagome wanted to just get up and flush the stuff down the toilet…but then a nagging voice kept repeating in her head ’help forget’. Kagome looked back down at the box.

Then after a moment of awkward silence, Kagome looked back up at her cousin and she nodded. Nicole smiled at her and went into her purse again. “good, well you’ll need these” she said handing her a crack pipe and a glass straw.

“but donou nou need them?” Kagome questioned. “nah I have tons more back at your place, in many pretty colors too!” she smiled evilly. “and I have more coke there” Kagome just smiled back at her.

“hey, but don’t over do it, ok kid” she said in a more mothering tone. Kagome only nodded. “sooo…wanna do a line right now?” Nikky asked. Kagome lo fro from her to the box. “sure, I want to forget”
