I tearfully watched as he and she exchange vows. He removed her veil over her head and they kissed. The entire church exploded as they cried tears of joy, cheered, and applauded.
Some people mistaken my tears as joyful ones, but they weren’t. I applauded and wiped my eyes. Never in my life have I seen him so happy. I sighed, wishing it was me he was marrying and not her. I turned around and exited the church. I got in my car and drove away.
The memory of that night will always be in my heart. Because for one moment, he was mine.
