Actions and Reactions

Disclaimer: I do not own Inu Yasha(nor sesshomaru for that matter). If I did I wouldn't be here, eavil smirk comes to face. He'd be my slave and chained to my bed, well maybe not the bed...if he were though he'd be there 24 hours a day.


Inuyasha was sleeping at the camp site he and kagome made earlier that evening.
Kagome sat awake writing in her diary she kept in her yellow pack away from prying eyes. After writing for a bit she put down the book and settled in for sleep.
Inuyasha's eyes flew open as the scent of multiple youkai suddenly assaulted his senses. Pulling Tetsusaiga, he jumped down in front of a startled Kagome and growled a warning. Kagome stood up with her bow and arrows, her back up against his. They came hard and fast, all wanting the Shikon around Kagome's neck. The fight didn't last but two minutes and Inuyasha plopped down on his rear. Storm clouds started gathering and Kagome pulled out the tent she'd brought with her for such an occassion. As soon as it was up she dragged her sleeping bag and crawled inside. Walking over to the tent Inuyasha crawled in and passed out besiagomagome.
"Inuyasha?"
Inuyasha tried hard to stay awake but was unable to move he was so tired. The rain had started falling and it was lulling him to sleep.
She scooted closer to him and laid her head on his shoulder. "You ok Inuyasha?"
"I'll be okay "Mother" it just hurts." Inuyasha was trying to be sarcastic, "Can we sleep now?"
She moved anway and turned her back on him. "Yeah go to sleep."
Inuyasha scooted over to her and cuddled close to keep her warm.
She kept her back to him and went to sleep. Twitching his ears, he licked the back of her neck and followed her to dreamland.


A few hours later Kagome woke up suddenly thirsty. Getting up she crawled out of the tent and went to get a drink of water. Once her thirst was satisfied she crawled back into the tent and fell asleep a bit away from him. The blanket was still warm where he had been so she didn't even notice that he was gone.

When Kagome didn't find him she gave up and walked back to their camp to start another fire. The rain had dampened most of the wood but Kagome was able to find a few dry pieces on her way back. Inuyasha had watched her all this time and finally decided to come out of his hiding place high in the trees. Silently, he jumped down landing on his feet directly behind her. With an evil grin on his face he waited until she stood up from the new fire.
"OHAYO!" He shouted.
Kagome shrieked and spun around, nearly loosing her balance and falling ass first in the fire. Inuyasha caught her, still grinning.
"Looking for me?"

Kagome glared at him with an expression that ordinarily would have sent even Sesshoumaru running for the hills.
"Don't ever scare me like that. If you weren't holding me I...I'd say the S word."
Inuyasha just held her tighter against him and slowly leaned down to kiss her.
