Chapter One: Kagome's Slutty Friend

Kagome sighed, they had been walking for hours. That morning she woke up because she felt the strong presence of a jewel shard and Inuyasha insisted they set out early to find it before the others woke. But after a while the presence had faded and now they were deep into the forest.
"me..me...." Inuyasha said irritably, "Are you sure it's near here?"
"Yes, I'm sure..." she snapped. "It's just......." her voice trailed off as she concentrated her aura, but she was interruped by Inuyasha's impatent voice.
"It's just... what Kagome?"
"It's farther away now...... and then close again....almost elusive...like it's trying to hide......"
"Keh! You're probably just loosing your touch..."
"WHAT WAS THAT?!?!" Kagome shot him a look.
"Nothing... I didn' t say anything...." Inuyasha looked at the ground innocenly. Kagome shut her eyes again, concentrating hard on the fragment. Inuyasha breathed a sigh of relief, he did not want to be "sitted" for his thoughtless comment earlier. A breeze ruslted through the trees, and Inuyasha sniffed the air. Kagome's eyes flew open when she heard Inuyasha growl softly.
"Something reaks....like death." he said, as his hand immidiatly went to his side, readly to draw his tetsusiga at the first sign of danger. A shiver went down Kagome's spine, the shard was close again, she could feel it. Stronger, and stronger....it wasn't one shard...
"Inuyasha....." she whispered.
"Now what?"
"I think maybe we should get Miroku and the others don't you? I have a bad feeling, I am sensing three shards..."
"All the more reason for us to go...besides..." he looked down at her. "We don't need them and you have me to protect you..just stay close to me"
Kagome felt more relieved, but slightly irritated as he said that. Inuyasha had never failed to save her before and she always felt safe around him, but lately Kagome had sensed him being a little more over protective than he usually was, this irritated her slightly. Afterall she didn't always need to be saved.

It seemed like forever to Kagome when they finally reached what looked like the center of the woods, a faint silloette of the cave became visable.
"The smell is deffinatly comming from here." Inuyasha said as they approached. Kagome noded, she could sense the intense energy from inside. She felt an uneasyness grip her, and she clung trightly to Inuyasha's sleeve.
"You go first..." she said to him, as she roughly pushed him forward.
"Alright, alright" he said."No need to push...." he glared at her irritated. He was so irritated that he didn't even see the faint glow over the enterance.
"AARRRGGG!!!!!!" He exclaimed as he hit the invisable wall causing purple sparks to shower the entrance, knocking him back to the ground.
"Inuyasha!" Kagome ran to his side. He picked himself up quickly, dusting himself off.
"I'm fine...." he mumbled "Damn, what the hell was that?"
"I don't know.... a barrier of somekind maybe...?"
"Shit, where's that damn monk when you need him?." Inuyasha grumbled. Kagome giggled.
"What the hell is so funny?"
"I thought you said 'we didn't need them.'"

"Hmmm....I don't know Inuyasha...." Miroku scratched his chin thoughtfully as he knelt infront of the cave.
"Well, can you break it down or not?" Inuyasha said impatently. They had been back at the cave for almost half an hour.
"I ca bre break it"
"WHAT?! WHY THE HELL NOT??"
"Look," Miroku rose to his feet. "I don't know what kind of priest you think I am, but this is dangerous. To break this you'd have to either be the one who put it here or a powerful master of the black c...c.....as you can see I am neither."
"Whatever weaking..." Inuyasha scoffed. "Kagome can just blast it with her sacred arrow...stand back" Kagome noded and drew her bow.
"No wait, Kagome-chan!" It was Sango. Kagome lowered her bow.
"I've heard of these before, we musn't try to break it."
"Why the hell not?" Inuyasha demanded.
"This kind of barrier is the living aura of hell, If Kagome pierces it with her arrow the black aura which surrounds the area will just rejuvinate and increase in mass. It could blow us all to hell."
"So, what are you saying?" Inuyasha yawned.
"You baka," Miroku said, "She's saying that not all of us want to die now, and if you care about Kagome's life you'll wait until we find another way."
"Keh! Whatever"
"
"Then it's decided" Kagome said. "We head back to camp for the night, besides I don't have time for this. Mid-terms start on monday and I can't miss them or I'll fail!"
"How can you think of going back at a time like this? Forget it, there's not way I'll let you go at a time like this". Inuyasha said.
Kagome just stared at him in disbelief. How could he accuse her of abandoning the group? That Bastard, How DARE he?!!! She felt her cheeks flush with rage.
"SIT!!!" she shrieked. Inuyasha hit the ground with a loud CRACK!
"OWW! What the hell was that for?"
"How dare you order me to stay here like I'm YOUR property!!!!"
"I...I....didn't..mean....."he stammered.
"BAKA!!!" Kagome screamed "BAKA!" Everyone jumped at the harshness in her tone. "I'm going and there's nothing you can do to stop me!"
"Fine" Inuyasha said flatly."Go and see if I care......" But Kagome was already walking away from him.
"Bitch...." he muttered to himself as he turned to follow the others.

By the time Inuyasha woke the next morning Kagome had already gone. Miroku told him that she would be back the setting of the sun on Sunday, but he only scoffed and said "Why would I care if she comes back?"
"Kagome told me to tell you something as well..." Inuyasha's ears twitched with curiousity and turned to face Miroku.
"She said there was a new girl at her school that is a witch and she would....ummmm... talk to her or something and she could tell us how to break the caves seal......I think. She said that the girl owed her a favor."
"Favor?"
"Yes, she said she would know what to do."
"Whatever...." Inuyasha said lazily. "I doubt a mere human could have that kind of power...." With that he took off without even waiting to here Miroku's responce.


The sun shone high noon as Inuyasha made his way to the well, He had made sure that no one had followed. Truth was he felt kinda sad that Kagome had left without saying goodbye to him. He was so lost in thought that he was caught of gard by the figure sitting by the well. Cautously he snuck up. Ha ha he thought to himself.... I knew she would be back. But as he approached he noticed the figure wasn't Kagome.... The girl turned.
"You might as well come out... I know your there..." she said cooly. He froze, How could she have know he was there? She must be a youkai, he thought. His thoughts raced. Had Kagome run into trouble here?
"Show yourself now!" she said a little more loudly. "Unless your a coward."
COWARD? He'd show her, cocky bitch. With the speed of a cheetah he lept forward at her catching her off guard. Pinning her to the ground he held a shap claw to her throat.
"Ohhh," she said looking up at him, "I like boys who play ruff...."
"Where is Kagome?" he demanded, pressing the claw to her throat harder. The girls expression changed.
"Kagome-chan? She's in school where she belongs...." Her answear caught Inuyasha off guard. The girl seazed her oppertunity to turn the tables and kneeded him....hard. In a flash Inuyasha found himself on the ground, pinned and looking up into the girls blue eyes.
"You must be Kagome's boyfriend, Inuyasha..." she said playfully. "I am Sandra, Kagome's friend" She giggled playfully and got off him. Inuyasha picked himself up and gazed at her. She was taller than Kagome, Her long black hair had streaks of blue in it and blew gracefully in the wind. Her body was thin and curvy, she wore a tight black pants and revealing tanktop. A large blue crystal hung from her neck. Inuyasha found himself staring at the skantily clad beauty speechless. She giggled again.
"Kagome sure picked a cute one." Inuyasha felt his face flush.
"I am NOT her boyfreind!" he found himself saying. "She's just my jewel detector. But that has nothing to do with it. How did you get though the well? Only Kagome and I can go through it." She smirked.
"Who says I can through the well?"
Inuyasha stared at her in disbelief. Sandra's expression grew serious. GOD, Inuyasha thought She's even more beautiful when she's serious. Wait, what the hell am I thinking? I don't even know this girl.....
"Kagome, tells me you have a serious magic problem. I am skilled, but I am afraid for Kagome's life as well. That is why I used my magics to rip a hole in time to come here."
WHAT? She can't be serious...... Inuyasha thought to himself. Maybe she does have some kind of power.......
Sandra Giggled again.
"I know what your thinking. Your thinking...'Can she see the jewel shards as well' Right?" Inuyasha blinked in surprise. Sandra smiled sadly.
"Kagome's aura is different from mine as is yours from hers....Kagome has powers that took me years to master. Her aura shines like a star or a sun. Mine how ever is that of the blackest magics....." her voice trailed off...."But don't misunderstand me.... I'm not like evil or anything.......I'm still only human. And I have no wish to obtain the Shikon no Tama for myself, It belongs to Kagome and I swear I will help return it to her." She quickly added, "While Kagome sees the jewel shards I can only feel their aura and not very well either. Kagome is a special girl with unfathonable purification talents." Inuyasha noded in agent,ent, He had seen Kagome demonstraight immense power before.
"I know, she saved my life many times before, but what do you mean 'the jewel belongs' to Kagome?"
"I mean, my skills have alowed me to see the past and the future in my dreams. Your world needs Kagome....the Shikon Jewel is her birthright, and her aura is proof." Woah, Inuyasha thought, she's serious!
"Okay" I'll take you to the cave after dusk can you be ready by then?"
"Yes"
