Prompt Summary: Inuyasha explains his wife's behavior.
The next day, the two awoke as early as they had been even though this was the first day without work. They had decided after dinner the night before that they would go shopping for supplies in the morning; wanting to make sure they got it done a day early in case they forgot something.
After a quick breakfast, they made their way outside and was met by Inuyasha. "Here's your new horse and the extra left over. It's about ten dollars each; Sesshoumaru was actually generous. He must have really liked your work," Inuyasha informed them as he handed over the reigns to an already saddled horse and a money purse.
"We had an old one we didn't need anymore and Sesshoumaru said you'd need one on the trail," he explained when Jakotsu gave him a questioning look. Sharing a surprised look, both Bankotsu and Jakotsu began to wonder if they had judged the older brother too harshly; he seemed to be a lot more hospitable than they had originally given him credit for.
"Tell him I said thanks," Jakotsu requested. "We're heading into town to stock up on supplies; is there anything you want us to pick up while we're there?"
"No actually the girls are heading into town later to take care of that. Honestly I wouldn't even know what we needed," Inuyasha joked, though the two of them had the suspicion that it was more true than not.
"Your wife is very interesting. Seemed a bit strict though," Jakotsu told him, remembering his second encounter with the woman he had met the night before. Throughout dinner she had remained silent unless someone had spoken to her and even then, it was curt one word answers.
He found her personality reminded him of a dark cavern; almost suffocating and eerie. Kind of like a female Sesshoumaru. "Who Sango? Sango's not at all strict. In fact she's a lot like Kagome; though not quite as free a spirit," Inuyasha insisted, confusing the two of them as the woman seemed nothing like Kagome at all.
Perhaps love had blinded him as he believed it had with Kagome. "You can't judge her by how she is currently; she just has other things on her mind. Her younger brother is working in a silver mine just a few miles from here. They fought before he left and it's put her in a bad mood. You'll like her if you get to know the real Sango."
