The storm had passed after a few days and they had gotten back to work as soon as Inuyasha had given them the go ahead. More than anything, the two of them were happy to be able to get out and move around after being held up in the barn. With their happier moods, the days passed by so quickly they barely even noticed them. It wasn't until a couple of weeks later when Sesshoumaru paid them a visit that their routine was interrupted.



"How much longer will it take you to finish?" he inquired with no hint of impatience or annoyance in his tone; merely curiosity. Glancing over the small trek of fencing still needing to be done and knowing they were about finished for the day; Bankotsu assured him they would be done the next day.



"Your work is satisfactory," Sesshoumaru told them and somehow Bankotsu knew that was a compliment coming from him; even though the thought of him and compliments seemed so mismatched. "In three days we are heading south to pick up a hundred head of cattle. A few of the men that were supposed to go with us have backed out at the last minute and we are in need of more bodies," Sesshoumaru informed them.
