Night Terrors

" Why......" Inu yasha said barley above a whisper. He let go of Kagome and looked at Shiori.
" You look me in the eyes right now and tell me why damnit!" He said as Shiori directed her glance tword the ground.
" I wish I could tell you, but even I dont know" She said with a heavy regret evident in her voice.
" Why should we believe you, for all we know your just some crazy dem..." Inu yashas words were cut short by a very inraged neko.
" DONT YOU DARE EVER, EVER CALL ME THAT!!! BELIEVE ME OR DONT BELIEVE ME BUT I AM NOT CRAZY!!! SHE WILL DIE IN ONE WEEK, ACCEPT IT OR NOT THAT IS THE TRUTH!!!" Shiori yelled as loud as her small form would let her. Tears of furry filled her eyes as she stared daggers at Inu yasha who was very shocked at the sudden out burst. She collapsed to the ground and tucked her knees against her chest. She cried silently for a few moments before continuing in a small shaking voice.
" Do you think I like knowing these things? That I like telling people that they are going to die? To tell their loved ones that they only have one week left to live? Well I dont........I dont"' she cried.
" I now how it feels to lose someone you love believe me I do, and I pity you. I know you think Im insane, everyone thinks Im insane, and the only ones who evelieelieved me ........died. My mother, my father, and my big brother all died when I was very small. One by one they saw those eyes and one by one they....they.....". Shiori didnt have the strength to finish that sentence.
" My best friend Rei, found the only solution, he found the only way out" she said as her tears stopped flowing and she looked at Inu yasha and Kagome who were staring at her waiting for her to finish her statment.
" H-He left a note, saying he had the answer, he said he was tired of living in fear and he knew what he had to do to end it" She continued.
" I searchveryverywhere for him, I looked for hours and hours until I finally found him" A single tear ran down her face.
" There were blood red flowers everywhere, they coverd the intire ground like a red carpet. The flowers where so thick that when you walked through them you left foot prints, just like if you were walking through an ocean of red snow. I could see his foot prints leading up to the tree long before I could see him. Do you know where I found him? Do you know were I found my best and only friend, the only one alive who believed me? I found his lifless body dangling from the willow tree where he had hung himself, the same willow tree we used to play on when we were small" She looked back to the ground as the single tear splashed on her blood stained kimono.
" A couple days ago I saw the eyes for myself, and shortly after I accidently stumbeld across you and your companions sleeping. I saw the look of fright on your face when you woke up and I knew you also had the dreams that have haunted me for so long. I followed you and waited for you to be alone so that I could tell you what they ment, but before I had my chance they tried to attack you. At the lake, had you taken a single step into the shadows you would be dead right now, thats why I pushed you off the cliff ,and thats why I lay here bleeding now."
Kagome did not want to believe that she had only one week left on this earth. One week left to see the blue sky, to smell the fresh air, to be in Inu yasha's arms. But She did believe. She believed every single word. Some how the moment she saw those eyes, she som somewhere deep within herself that she was going to die soon. Now that Shiori had spoken these words out loud she felt as though her fate was sealed. Inu yasha walked over to the cat demon and placed a clawed hand on her shoulder.
" Im sorry Shiori, I-I shouldnt have......." Inu yasha mumbeld. He could sense when a persons tears where real, and there was nothing fake about the ones she had cried.
" Its ok Inu yasha, I shouldnt have exploded on you like that, I dont know what got into me" She said as she stood up and limped over to a near by tree and leaned on it for support.
" Im going down to the lake to see if I can get some of this blood off, reds not exactly my color" she said as she faked a smile. Then she added on a more serious note.
" Dont wander away from eachother and avoid any shadows, even the slightest step into darkness will seal your fate sooner than necessary" with that she limped off tword the lake. As soon as she was out of hearing range, Kagome broke down and cried into her hands. Inu yasha kneeled by her side and held her in his arms a ran ran his claws gentaly through her soft black hair, lightly so that he didnt pull it when he came across on of the many tangles that now resided there. He couldnt think of anything to say to help her, what could he say? That she was going to die and there was nothing that could be done?
"'Inu yasha, I-I d-dont want to die!" she cried as she shook with fear. As he heard these words from her lips, his stomach felt like it was tied up in knots.
" We'll find a way to stop it, I wont let you die, your the world to me remember, I wont let you go, ever" He said as a silver tear drop slid down his already tear stained face.

Well minna now its going to start getting interesting, Ive got everything all planed out now if you all could just review somemore Im sure I could get the next chapters out quicker *hint hint* ^_^
