“What did you do to him?!?!”
Kagura’s rage filled words were the first thing they heard as they walked through the hallways to Sesshoumaru’s chambers. [ what a welcoming] Kagome thought sarcastically. The thing is that Kagura was asking the right question but at the wrong time. [ ask that question when he’s hanging by a thread, nothing but a heap of shit on the floor...then I will answer you] she thought.
For the time being, they simply ignored her and placed him on his luxurious dark silken sheets. Nothing has changed. the large bed covered in dark silk was the center piece of the room, dancing sheets from the ceiling gave it an aura of seduction, a dark promise. [and I fell for all of it...the commitment, the love, the lies. Mark my words Sesshoumaru, I will end you] these were her last thoughts before she exited his room. She can’t stay here, a sudden sense of claustrophobia overcame her then, along with a need. A need that she had no idea existed.
[I need a few moments to myself. I will alert Sango of my return but until then do not follow and be alert] those were the last words that her team will hear from her for the coming three days. She went back home, back to the beautiful lands of Ireland. A sea of green is all she saw and needed to calm the clawing need that was so intent on tearing her apart: the need for her daughter.
[what was she like? What were her first words? Did she even get to go that far before that ungrateful bastard killed her?]. she was desperate, the need so great that it could no longer be ignored. She let out a mournful howl into the night, the kind that will fill your eyes with tears because of all the grief and misery that it seems to instill within your soul. Yet her amethyst eyes held no tears, only a deep seeded hatred for the so called ‘father’ of her child. She could feel it now, the bloodlust slowly moving through her, the temptation to get the revenge she sought now in order to be satisfied. But she can’t manage to lose control now, they needed him for their dealing with Naraku. It was this thought and this thought alone that gave her a sense of control. [we need him for the fight, then I will dispose of him and throw him into the fiery depths of hell where he belongs...but why is it that another part of my soul calls to him?] she was fairly confused with her soul’s reactions.
[this cannot do. He will forever be apart of me but I cannot afford to let the part of me that has a connection to him prevail...I will rather kill myself than allow him to have me once again] were her determined thoughts. And it was this indirect promise that kept her resolve from crumbling, a deep meditation that was the outer image of the internal war that she was experiencing with herself. A war that took 2 days. On the third day, her resolve was back ten fold. Her amethyst depths the mirror image of his cold glare...she was prepared to return and complete the job...and she had just the plan that would complete this war and hers as well.
[ I will fall but I would get my revenge and get the small peace that hell will offer me] she thought. With that, she slid into the shadows and made her way back to the vampire lair.
“Where the hell is she?!?!” Sesshoumaru’s thunderous words shook the and cracked a few windows in his office. Kagura could no longer deal with this so she retired to their chambers, visibly spent from trying to convince him that the bitch abandoned her team and their cause. How wrong she was.
Though this outburst should instill any of those in the immediate premises with fear, it was treated as a daily occurrence since that is what it was, since the departure of Kagome. [she will pay for leaving! She will learn her place and will never again prance around without the consent of her alpha!] were his furious thoughts.
But then, his thoughts were interrupted by the very one they were directed to. Her sweet angelic voice flowing through the tense air and immediately calming the beast that sought to be released. Of course, this was before her words were spoken.
“And who might that be? Because I sure as hell refuse to think that it’s the COWARD that stands before me?” the emphasis on the ‘coward’ was what took him over the edge. With a murderous roar, he lunged himself at her, intent on getting her to submit to his will. But she froze him in the air, circling him as a predator would it’s prey...a little game of cat and mouse.
“ this blind rage that you have presented me with would have given me the opportunity to do away with what has caused me grief for the past 50 years...yet, it would mean the end of my existence, my purpose,” she looked him straight in his blood red eyes while she said the next part, “ but do not worry, I plan on living for a little while longer.” with that she set him down, without giving him control of his own body.
“But that doesn’t mean that I won’t beat the shit out of you!” and with that she lunged herself at him and delivered a hit to his jaw. A loud crack echoed throughout the office but Sesshoumaru gave no sign of the pain that it apparently caused or the pain that was caused from him hitting the wall with an unearthly force. Pain was second nature to him now and as thus he paid it no real mind. That is until he realized who delivered the blow. The same being which was making her way toward his still body.
She stopped at his feet, squaring her shoulders and looking down upon him. An unspoken declaration of dominance over him. He wanted to break free, declare his dominance over her right then and there, take her throughout the night to secure his claim over her, but could not be done since she still had him prisoner by an invisible force.
“I know that you can’t speak for the apparent reason that your jaw is broken but you still have your mind to speak to me. Tell me, without double meanings or cryptic responses, what you did to her?!?!” she asked while gripping the bloodied collar of his black button up shirt. He looked upon her with a look of puzzlement. [who?] was his genius remark. She pulled back and delivered another bone crushing hit to the opposite side of his pale angelic face.
“My daughter you sick bastard!” she yelled into his face. His eyes widened in realization and before he could react she continued.
“ tell me where you killed her so that I may do away with you there. To get revenge on the innocent life that you felt the need to dispose of after your sick experimentations!”
they stared at one another for what seemed like hours but was truly only seconds. He composed himself before answering. She was prepared for anything, silently making a spot available in her mind for the location of her daughters death so that she may make preparations ahead of time. She was prepared, but never for this.
[she is alive]
...and then all was dark.
Phew! Well there you have it! And don’t forget to review!
