I'll See You Again

“I swear we have seen that car everywhere we went…” Rin eyed a small black car parked across the street from the beach she and Sesshomaru were just leaving. It was around 3 in the afternoon at this point.

“There tend to be many cars in Tokyo Rin.” Sesshomaru took Rins hand and walked to his car. He had noticed that that same car has been all the places they were today.

“Don’t worry about it.” He assured her as she climbed into the climbed into the car. Walking over to his side and getting in, Sesshomaru noticed that there was a note left in the car, just behind the ignition. The letters were sloppy, probably written in a rush, were the words: I’m Watching.

“What is it Sess?” Rin asked warily.

“Nothing, a stupid prank,” He started the car and drove back to Rins house. The couple spent the remainder of the day there. Around 10, Sesshomaru left Rins house and was on the way to his. Failing to notice that same black car that was following them the entire day, had whizzed past him … On the route to Rins home.

After seeing Sesshomaru off, Rin shut her door and headed straight for the bathroom. After showering, Rin was making her way to her room when she was grabbed from behind, her scream muffled by a gloved hand.

Rin was struggling against the body behind her when a figure emerged from her dark room. As the body moved closer and closer into the light that emerged from the bathroom, Rins eyes widened in shock and her already panicked breaths increased.

“Hello, Rin.” A familiar voice called out to her. “I told you,” the body was coming closer until she stood in front of a trembling Rin. “Not to fuck with me.” Rin was then struck across the face, hard.

Just then, she was released and pushed onto the floor, hitting her head and sending her into temporary shock. Rin shook her head and stood up as quickly as she could. Whipping around Rin yelled, “What the HELL are you doing here K—“Her sentence went unfinished as she was struck in the head and knocked unconscious.

Rin awoke a few hours later, with a splitting headache and bound to a chair in her kitchen. Panic quickly arose in her as she struggled against the tight bonds. Soon abandoning that idea, she attempted to scream out, but her cry of help was muffled by a cloth surrounding her mouth. Rin heard a laugh coming from the living room, and whipped her head around in that direction.

“So, you’re finally awake hmm?”

Rin made another useless cry for help as she struggled frantically against the bonds surrounding her. A deep fear arose in her as memories of her captor replayed in her mind. Tears of fear and hate began rolling down her cheeks, only to be absorbed by the cloth. Her breathing picked up rapidly as her captor took deliberately slow steps towards her.

Rin flinched away as he stood in front of her and stroked her cheek with the back of his gloved hand. In her mind, she was screaming insults and thinking of the cruel things she would do to him when she was freed from this … If she was freed from this.

Her phone ringing shocked her out of her musings and Kyou smirked as he took up the phone.

“Nice to hear from you again, Sesshomaru.” He greeted as he looked straight at Rin, who was now screaming muffled curses and threats.

“What the hell is going on?” Sesshomaru was, more or less, panicking. He could hear Rins muffled cries and had an idea of who he was talking to now . . .

“Such language, do you kiss your mother with that mouth Hmm?” Kyou mused.

Sesshomaru hung up his phone and dashed out of his home. As quickly as he could, Sesshomaru jumped into his car and sped off towards the home of his beloved. When Sesshomaru finally made it to Rins home, he quickly unlocked the door and froze as he took in the scene before him.

He looked at Rin and sadness filled his heart. Her hair was tousled, eyes were red, arms bruised from the bonds wrapped around her. How could he have let something like this happen?

Kayouya, who was sitting on the couch still watching the television, had jumped up to meet Sesshomaru when he entered the door. He hadn’t noticed her for he was too focused on Rin and Kyou.

“Sesshy! You came!” Kayouya squealed as she ran up to Sesshomaru and hugged him. But Sesshomaru pushed her off and began to make his ways to Rin.

“Oh Sesshomaru, you came. It’s nice to see you again.” Kyou had a smug smirk on his lips as he spoke his words. He was leaning on a countertop; arms folded across his chest… the same place Sesshomaru had been when Rin told Kyou to stay out of her life.

“Why are you doing this to Rin?” Sesshomaru growled out as he took an angry step towards Kyou. “And wipe that grin off your face, you smug bastard.”

“Tsk tsk, Sesshomaru. Don’t lose your temper now.” Kyou was all but smiling at this point, finding Sesshomarus anger amusing.

Sesshomaru growled as he stormed towards Kyou, but he froze when Kyou grabbed Rins hair and yanked her head backwards, watching his beloved wince in pain as more tears fell from her eyes. “Sesshomaru, I hope you weren’t going to try anything funny now.”

“Let her go.” His words were laced with venom as he spoke.

“And,” Kyou lowered his mouth to her exposed neck, allowing his lips to ghost over her sensitive skin “If I don’t?” Kyou looked up at Sesshomaru under his eyelashes and smirked before he flicked his tongue across Rins exposed flesh.

Sesshomaru was seeing red. The anger that consumed him was uncontrollable; the only think keeping him in check was Rin.

Kyou should thank her.

Kayouya stood a few feet behind Sesshomaru, smirking at the fear in Rins eyes.

“Only for my dearest Rin,” Kyou began as he returned to an upright position. “I will make a compromise.”

Sesshomaru just glared back, not trusting his own voice at the moment. “Perhaps his so called, compromise, won’t be too ridiculous.” He thought.

“Because I am the bigger person,” Kyou reached into his back pocket, pulling out a gun. “I care about Rins safety. So, forget about her and-“

“No!” Sesshomaru barked out. “I will not forget about her. I would never abandon the one that I love. And if you ever experienced a love that wasn’t one-sided, you would know what it feels like. And you would know why I couldn’t accept something as ridiculous as this.”

“Charming,” Kyou slid the gun up Rins and neck slowly, stopping at her Jugular. “Too bad you hadn’t realized. Either yes or no, you would never see her again. You should learn to control your temper, interrupting some is so rude.”

“Especially,” Rin visibly tensed and squeezed her eyes shut. If she was going to die now, she didn’t want to see his face. Couldn’t bear to see the agony and sadness in his eyes. “When it involves a loved one.”

Kyou applied a bit of pressure to the trigger, thought not enough to set it off. “So what do you say, Rin?” He pulled the cloth from around her mouth, her eye fluttered open soon after.

Sesshomarus rage died down a little, replaced with sadness as Rin and he exchanged a long stare. He wanted to embrace her, tell everything would be alright. Even though it wouldn’t be, and he was sure she knew it too. He took and involuntary step forward, but the gun trigger was squeezed a little more tightly. Reminding him of the danger.

The seconds ticked by like hours for the group, the tense atmosphere prolonging every second.

“I . . .” Rin finally spoke. Her voice was soft, laced with fear and regret, “I’m so sorry Sesshomaru.”

As she spoke her words, fresh tears began to sting her eyes and stain her cheeks. She would regret every word, her decision bringing them both indescribable pains. “I have to go with him.”

Her words stung at Sesshomarus heart. Felt as though he was being ripped apart. For as strong as he was, tears were pooling in his eyes, complimenting the blatant pain written all over his face. Blinking back what tears he could, and swallowing the lump in his throat, Sesshomaru spoke. “I . . . I understand.”

Rin turned her head a little to look him in the eyes, “I love you, Sesshomaru. I want you to remember that.”

The tears that he had fought so hard to withdraw finally spilled over. “I will always love you my Rin.”

She gave him a sad smile before he turned and left. Finally exiting her home, one phrase kept replaying in his mind over and over.

If you truly love someone, you will let them go.

This chapter was probably the hardest for me to write. Mostly because I had to think of how to word it correctly . . . Or more to my liking. I had it planned in my head I guess, but then nothing came to me when I tried to express it in words. In other terms, I had extreme writers block for about 1 month -.-

But on another note, this chapter is probably one of the saddest I have written. Well the ending is anyways. Honestly, the end left me in tears. I feel like a complete idiot admitting this, but yes it is true. I cry at really sappy fan-fictions.

I remember there was one I read, it was also a Sess/Rin, and I cried like baby! I wish I could remember what the name of the story was though. It was so amazing. I remember, Sesshomaru raped her and killed her baby or something like that and then he ended up loving her or something. I don’t really remember too well. But I loved that story so much that I think I read it something like 5 times XD

But back to my point: I just thank god that no one could see me right now . . .
