Later that evening Anaminé was lying on the couch sleeping. Sesshomaru had to chase his brother off along with her other friends so she could get some sleep. Sesshomaru leaned on the door frame of the balcony watching Anaminé sleep. It was really starting to bother him that he cared so much they both knew that they would never have a chance as long as the treaty stayed in play. Sesshomaru took a sip of his ice tea and closed the sliding glass door behind him and headed for his den and picked up his phone and called his father the only thing he knew to do.

Inu Taisho picked up the phone “hello Tiasho residence”

“Father it’s me Sesshomaru.” Sesshomaru said

“Yes Sesshomaru how can I help you. You know you did a good job at pissing your brother off today running him off” Inu Taisho said

“Yes I know father but they wouldn’t go and Anaminé was starting to doze off and they wouldn’t let her sleep. But that’s not why I called we need discuss the treaty and Anaminé” Sesshomaru said

“Yes?” Inu Tiasho said

“What are we going to do about this I wont stand by as let them get away with what they have done it hasn’t even been a week since her parents death, and now she is raped and her knee injured to the point of her having to use crutches for a while we don’t know when she will be able to even dance or train again. Something has to be done.” Sesshomaru said

“Now Sesshomaru why are you so interested in the matter if it was anybody else you would just stick up you noise and walk away. I’m surprise you even acknowledge the girl.” Inu Taisho said with a grin on his face.

Sesshomaru sighed “I don’t know Father there is just something about her I mean good god father I accidentally saw her in the shower and I lost it I almost marked her but luckily the scent of her fear snapped me out of it. I just can’t help wanting to keep her close and protect her and hold her in my arms. I don’t know why she is cocky, stubborn, and hot tempered, but at the same time she can see the truth in everyone, and she is caring and knows how to bring people together.” Sesshomaru said rubbing his temple.

“Wait a minute you almost marked her?!” Inu Taisho exclaimed

“Yes father I told you I lost control.” Sesshomaru said

“Sounds like you love her Sesshomaru and so dose your beast” Inu Taisho said

“If so it wont ever be we have the treaty, and I know she loves me and I don’t want to just hurt her in the end so its just better to leave it as it is.” Sesshomaru said
“How do you know she loves you Sesshomaru?” Inu Taisho asked

“I over heard he talking to her Friend Jakotsu at the hospital.” Sesshomaru said

“Really what did she say?” Inu Taisho said

“She said she understood my responsibilities as your heir and she doesn’t think that any demon will ever want her because of her lack of power, and she knows about me being arranged to be mated to the princess of the south she came to the conclusion from what Takashi said and so she knows that we will never be together. Then she went on to talk about the old saying if you love something enough let it go and if it’s meant to be yours it will come back to you. So she plans on just sitting back and watching and hoping that by some miracle I will come to her and she will be waiting. So she is willing to wait forever for me but she isn’t getting her hopes up.” Sesshomaru said

“Sesshomaru I’m only going to tell you this once. If things are meant to be then they always end up working out in the end, and since you two love each other I’m sure you two will end up together in the end.” Inu Taisho said

“Okay but what are we going to do about the south we can’t let them get away with this.” Sesshomaru said

“We are going to keep her close and I’m sure they will try something again, but you might have to open up to her more because if they see if their first attempt didn’t work then they will try something again we will just have to make sure she doesn’t stray away from us so when they try something we are there that way we can catch them then we have physical proof that its them and we can break this treaty and deal with them.” Inu Taisho said

Sesshomaru sighed he didn’t like the idea of having to put Anaminé in danger but they had to do something “okay well I should go figure out what we are going to do for dinner.”

“Okay Sesshomaru good night.” Inu Taisho said then hung up

Sesshomaru hung up his phone and walked out of his den when he got to the living room he found that the couch was empty. He then heard some clanging in the kitchen. He walked into the kitchen and saw Anaminé trying to get a cup down but she kept losing her balance. Sesshomaru walked behind her wrapping a arm around her waist to keep herself steady he then reached up and got the cup for her. Anaminé turned around and looked up into Sesshomaru’s eyes. As she looked into his eyes there was something there that wasn’t there befor. Her hair was down at full length it was about down to her calf’s some hair hung in front of her face. She slowly brought his other hand up and moved the piece of hair out of her face.

“Uh thanks” Anaminé whispered looking into his eyes

Sesshomaru didn’t say anything and just took his had that he had used to move the piece of hair out of her face and cupped her cheek and brought his lips to hers trapping her top lip between his. Anaminé eyes widened and her body tensed for a second but she soon relaxed and melted into the kiss that she was sharing with Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru used the arm that was wrapped around her waist and pulled her close. Anaminé placed her hands on Sesshomaru’s chest since he had a hold of her and was keeping her balance as she put all her weight on her good knee and her crutches leaned against the counter. The kiss that they shared was soft but passionate. Anaminé stood in Sesshomaru’s arms as he nipped on her lip a little asking for entrance Anaminé complied opening her mouth as their tongues began to dance together. Anaminé basked in how loving and tender Sesshomaru was being and how good it felt to be in his arms and feel this but then reality set in and she knew she couldn’t do this there was no way for it to continue. Anaminé suddenly pushed Sesshomaru away and grabbed her crutches and put some distance between her and Sesshoamru. Tears began to weld up in her eyes.

“Don’t do this Sesshomaru, Please don’t” Anaminé said

“Do what Anaminé” Sesshomaru asked kind of angry but taken back by Anaminé actions

“Play with me, I’m not going to be some toy like all the other girls you have been with, you have your fun with me then toss me aside, what am I just one last fun adventure befor you have to be mated, you think just because I’m weak and broken right now that I can be a easy catch for you and think well she would be happy just to have what little time she has with me so it wont matter. Well your wrong Sesshomaru to have a small taste of what it would be like if I believed for the smallest second that you loved me would be hell to me because after that second is gone I’m left looking at a living with knowing what it could be like and know that I can’t have that. Its hell not being able to be with the one you love, especially when your life is going down hill and your living with him and you feel like a burden to him.” Anaminé said facing him as tears began to fall down her face.

Sesshomaru took a step towards her “Anaminé…”

“No Sesshomaru stop you don’t understand I love you I have since the first day I met you when I was a little girl. You scared me, intrigued me, you where the only one I felt safe with other than my father and my father knew that that’s why he asked you to make that promise with him, that’s why you where chosen as my guardian….I know I have had other b/f but they never meant anything….” Anaminé said

“Then what about Takashi why did his leaving bother you so much if you have only loved me” Sesshomaru said with a slight growl.

“Because it was the principal of the mater and thought I did not love him I still cared about him I know I could never be with you and I thought he could be second best but then he cheated on me and I thought that I could give him a second chance because I didn’t want to be alone Sesshomaru, Because you always pushed me away so I had to find someone but then he disappeared with his whore because I wouldn’t sleep with him, because I could never give myself fully to him because I already belonged to you” Anaminé was almost sobbing now.

“I cant just say give me my dream for the short time I with you, it either has to be me and you forever or not at all my heart just wouldn’t be able to let you go if we started something.” Anaminé said finally hanging her head as she leaned on her crutches.

Sesshomaru walked over to her and grabbed onto her shoulders causing her to look up at him.

“Anaminé I use to think that you where nothing more than a nuisance, a weak, stubborn, out spoken, woman who stepped out of her place way to many times. You are the only woman other than my step mother who has been able to stand up to me. This angered me that you had the audacity to do that but in the same time it intrigued me. I was noticing to many things about her personality that intrigued me and that angered me. I told myself that I could never be someone who was weak. But your not Anaminé you are the strongest woman I know you are a great swords master as your father, you are strong willed, yet compassionate and you can see into someone’s true being, you have a ability to bring people together, never befor would a believe that a hanyou, A dong demon, A wolf Demon, a thunder demon, two miko’s, a lectures monk, a human who had ancestors for several hundred years that where demon slayers, and 4 humans could be so close as you and your friends are and you are the one who brought them together, you have the ability to bring people together. Seeing all this made me realize why you intriguing me angered me so much. It angered me because I Love You. Now I have noticed it to late I am to be mated just when I figured out that you are the one I want to be with to rule with me when my father dies or steps down.” Sesshomaru said looking into her leaking blue pools.

“Sesshomaru…” Anaminé whispered

“Please Anaminé let me have you for what little time I have it could even work to our advantage although it could put you in danger but as long as I am near you I wont allow anything to harm you.” Sesshomaru said

“What do you mean?” Anaminé asked

“My father thinks that if they see that them sending someone to rape you hasn’t disgusted me that they will try something again and as long as I am near I will be able to catch them which will allow us to break the treaty and have them punished. I don’t know what they will try and I don’t want to put you in danger so I will leave it to you but like I said it could help to our advantage and we would not have to be separated.” Sesshomaru said

Anaminé stood there and thought to here self “there is hope for me and Sesshoamru…”

“Ill do anything if it means I have a chance to be with you” Anaminé said with a small smile as one last tear fell from her eye.
Sesshomaru took her in his arms and held her there Anaminé head rest on his chest then something hit her and she looked up at Sesshoamru.

“But wouldn’t us being together break something in the treaty.” Anaminé asked looking up at him.

“No I have no commitment to them untill the treaty is signed so I am free to do as I wish.” Sesshomaru said.

Anaminé smiled and place her head back against his chest they stood there for a little bit befor Sesshomaru pulled her away.

“You should eat you haven’t had much to eat all day, do you want to go out or eat in?” Sesshomaru asked

“I would prefer to stay in tonight I’m still not all together from the pain killers the doctor has me on and I have school work I need to work on.” Anaminé said.

Sesshomaru nodded “ill go order something you go sit down.”

Anaminé went into the living room and sat on the couch as she pulled one of her school books on to the couch and one of her note books and began to write stuff down.
