I thought I lost you

Chapter 9



Sesshomaru is in font of a big medieval inspired iron wall engraved on it are all the demons in true from that makes up the alliance. At the middle is a dog demon in true form making it announced that the head of the alliance are the dog demons.

“The successor to the throne of the west… his highness Lord Sesshomaru…” A low voice announced. The door cringed and started to open. Inside is like a courtroom with a high table where the judge sits but in this case the table is in semi circle and behind it seated high lords of the different youkai races. The lords are covered by curtains as a sign of royalty. Torches outline the room lighting it and hanging ion the high dome ceiling is a chandelier of diamonds inside are little fires that grandly illuminate the room.

The door closed and a voice was heard. “we know what you seek Lord Sesshomaru… you and the alliance know that elves are not easy enemies… their royal families have the power to purify a battalion of youkais in one spell… only high level youkais are capable of withstanding such high purification. You yourself had experience such. It is not of a burden to loose youkai armies for we can resurrect them and we have the magic to render them, should I say, ‘unpurifiable’ but we can only do much. All we need is for you to give us one reason to convince a majority vote…” a dragon youkai said making it known that after the dog youkais dragons are next inline.

“Is it not a good reason that they have my brother?” Sesshomaru said stoic and cold. “”if it is not a good enough reason for you and the member of this alliance, it is good enough for me. I do not intend to be disrespectful but if what you said is true why do you not understand my cause? All I see now is cowardice. Now if you would excuse me… I would like to leave before I think that coming here is a mistake.” Sesshomaru turned to leave and was about to walk out the door when the dragon demon talked once more. “We know where you are in Lord Sesshomaru but all we need is one good viable reason why.”

“As I said Inuyahsa is my brother… and I love him… I love my yasha.” Sesshomaru said his back at the alliance.

“Then Lord Sesshomaru… you can expect the alliance aid in this war…” the dragon youkai announced.

“How about the majority vote?” Sesshomaru said still his back at the alliance.

“Obviously the majority made up its mind.” The Dragon demon supplied. Seshomaru then walked out the door not looking back at the alliance.



Meanwhile…

Elvira is in a spacious balcony on one of the towers of the palace. She looks out to the moon and whispered. “Mother… why? Why can’t you just make things happen as it is…?”

“Elvira…” someone called in her mind.

“Grandmother Oracle?” Elvira asked.

“Yes it is me child... I called to warn you of an upcoming danger…” the oracles voice foreboding.

“What is it grandmother?” Elvira asked worriedly.

“I see death my dear… I see great casualties… elves and demons alike…”

“Will there be a war grandmother?”

“I am afraid so… but behind all these I see something more… be wary my granddaughter… someone will try to facilitate the opportunity to their advantage…”

“Who grandmother?” Elvira asked slightly moved from the revelation.

“I cannot say child… I am afraid I cannot say… be prepared my child… may the goddess guide us…” the oracle said worriedly and in dismissal tone.

“We will… Thank you grandmother…” she said looking out to the moon. “a war… an ongoing conflict for almost an eternity… will this be the dawn for it’s end? Or another dark age fro both demons and elves.” She told herself. She then turned to go to her sons and daughter to tell them the bad news.

“Philander, Jamima, and Inuyasha... I need you at the table now.” She said in telepathy and teleported herself to the conference room. She reappeared and saw her children seated at their places. On the right side is Philander, in front of him is Inuyasha and next to Inuyasha’s right is Jamima, all are serious. She made her way to her seat on top of the table and sit.

“Why an urgent conference mother?” Philander asked poised and stoic while the two remained silent.

“Children… after a long time of peace… a war is about to break once more…” Elvira’s voice dejected.

“It is of the demons am I right mother?” Inuyasha inquired.

“Yes… I’m afraid so…” Elvira replied.

“It is of that Sesshomaru.” Inuyasha stated. Elvira and Jamima looked at Inuyasha and to Philander noticing that he didn’t react.

“Mother?!” Jmaima called in telepathy.

“Yes jamima… Philander’s memories had been erased…” She cleared” mother…. Why…”

“We need to prepare mother.” Philander broke their conversation.

“Yes we do Philander…” Elvira broke from the telepathy and answered.

“Mother you will have to stay here in the palace and reinforce the barrier so that no demon can enter the capital…” Philander started to give orders. “Inuyasha you head the elite force… Jamima the healers and spell casters, and I’ll be in the front line.”

“But Philander!” Inuyasha interjected. “I will not allow it.”

“Philander’s voice came soft not his usual stoic and cold “who do you expect me to put in charge in the front line? You know I won’t allow you.”

Elvira and Jamima looked at each other. “Philander… Inuyasha… is there something me and your sister doesn’t know?”

Inuyasha blushed and bowed while Philander looked at Elvira and Jamima in stoic and then smiled when he looked back at Elvira. “Mother… Inuyasha has accepted me to be his intended.” Inuiyasha blushed more with what was said.

Jamima and Elvira looked at each other then to a smiling Philander and a blushing Inuyasha. “I’m very disappointed with you two…” Elvira said dejectedly. Philander’s face melted to stoic once more and Inuyasha looked at Elvira who’s bangs covered her eyes. “Very disappointed… that… you only told us this just now!” she looked up and teased her boys.

“Mother I thought you were-“Inuyasha was cut when Elvira said”Angry? Me? Inuyasha! I’m the happiest mom in the world right now! ohhh!!! I just can’t wait at the day of the c-e-l-e-b-r-a-t-i-o-n… Ahem!” She cleared her throat “I expect that you didn’t break the tradition when you!” She looked at Philander “had gone to Inuyasha’s room…” She eyed a blushing Inuyasha and a blushing Philnder that still retained his composure even when embarrassed with speculating eyes.

“No we didn’t.” Philander said flatly.

“You didn’t.-“She gestured her hand and Inuyasha quickly interjected “NO! Mother! SHeess!!! How can you possibly think-… ugh!” Inuyasha blushed more at the thought and bowed again.

“Then what did you do then huh dear brother?” Jamima flung herself to Inuyasha and started to pinch his cheeks. “We just kissed ok?!” Inuyashsa shot back in pain and blushed more at that. “Oh you naughty brother you!” Jamima then tightened her grip more and Elvira joined in...

“Stop that!” Philander said.

Elvira, Jamima, and Inuyasha froze and look as if they just painted a picture and stared at a fuming, almost, Philander. Elvira and Jamima had some glint of mischief in their eyes and started teasing Philander. Elvira and Jamima got beside Philnder and stared dancing awkwardly and sang “Philander is jealous! Phuilnder is jealous! Ahahaha!” when they were done they couldn’t almost get up from their chairs.

“I’m sorry that a war has come to event with your engagement…” Elivra said in serious tone.

“It is alright mother… we will just postpone it…” Philander said.

“Yes mother… and besides… how do you expect us to have an engagement party when there is a war that’s about to happen.” Inuyasha interjected.

“I just hope everything will be fine… be safe then my children… we should retire and tomorrow all preparations must be made… tomorrow… the elves, once again, will be at war…” Elvira said in dismissing tone.
