Gothic Love

Three days passed in the blink of an eye for Kagome as she spent much needed quality time with Lee. THey got to know each other again and Lee showed her just how much he had missed her and that he had never stopped loving her. Inutaisho and Inuyasha found that they couldn't even sense her any more. THey also saw just how much Kagome's actions were effecting Sesshomaru. He was normally cold toward everyone but Kagome, but he hadn't even left his room since Kagome left and it had been three days they were beginning to worry even more about how he was taking it all. It was the morning of the third day since Kagome left and just as the sun was coming up Midoriko appeared before Sesshomaru, Inuyasha, and Inutaisho all at the same time calling all three of them to attention as she pulled them from their thoughts none of them having been sleep.



"Kagome is on the very edge of the cliff in her mind that represents her sanity. SHe could very well lose her mind and in doing so become the biggest threat to the world that has ever existed. Should she lose what sanity she has left the three of you you have to kill her."



All of them answered the same making Midoriko smile sadly.



"I could never kill her even if it meant the end of the world."



"You must."



With that she was gone and they were all left to their thoughts.



~With Kagome and Lee~



"Can we start over Lee?"



Kagome wasn't sure if she was asking about their relationship in general or if she was asking about the family they had always wanted and had been denied. Lee held her close to his side as they lay naked within his massive bed.



"It's to soon to tell."



Kagome felt her heart both sink and swell and paused for a moment.



"Do you love me, Lee and I don't mean just love me I mean like before we were separated?"



Lee looked down at her and ran his thumb lightly over her lips then trailed it over her cheek.



"Hai, or you would not be laying beside me right now."



Kagome laid there content to be with her love once again. But a part of her was worried about how Sesshomaru was fairing after all that she had put him through. SHe slowly fell into slumber once again her dreams taking her to him in astro form.



"Sesshou?"



Sesshomaru looked over in the direction he had heard the voice and saw Kagome's astro form.



"What do you want, wench?"



Kagome winced slightly.



"I'm sorry Sesshomaru...I know my behavior has hurt you but I need him."



Sesshomaru once again returned his gaze to the mural on his left wall of his mother. It was an exact copy of the picture he had given her after he took her picture so many years ago.



"You were supposed to love me."



Kagome turned her gaze to the mural as well, her voice a whisper.



"I do...but I'm in love with Lee. I'm so very sorry."



Sesshomaru glanced at her before muttering a reply and leaving his room.



"So am I."



Kagome left his room then returning to her body and sleeping normally. Unknown to her she had been whispering everything she whispered and Lee was amazed she was really leaving the heir to the west for him. Though he wouldn't say it or express it he was more then happy she again wanted what they had lost so long ago, it was what he'd longed for all these years and maybe now they would finally have it. He could be the real him again and he could release the centuries worth of anger that had once burned within him. With a deep sigh he expelled his anger and holding Kagome tightly lapsed into sleep.





A/N: I know this chapter is short but I just wanted to update after so long. The next chapter will have Kagome going back to the palace of the kami's to hear their decision. Toodles for now:)
