The twist on the accused behaviour
Chapter Nine: The twist on the accused behavior, Or: Sweet Revenge
Inuyasha was cleaning the front aisle when he heard the doorbell clang, indicating someone had entered. He rose and walked to the front counter to greet the customer. The sight that met his tired eyes made his jaw drop.
Kagome smiled and blushed as she looked at Inuyasha in his work outfit. He was wearing a faded pair of bootcut levis, a heather gray and red baseball tee with Ace Hardware emblazoned upon it, and his hair was in a French braid. His ears twitched and he blushed a bit himself, realizing she was checking him out.
Inuyasha was a bit surprised at how very delicious Kagome looked when dressed down. She was wearing a worn red t-shirt, a 1967 Mustang on the front, and a pair of straight cut American Eagle jeans. Her long raven hair was up in a ponytail and her makeup was a little mussed, like she had been hanging drywall. She blushed even more under his scrutiny and with a little wave, went over to talk to Tim in Sporting Goods.
“Hey girlie!!” Tim said happily as he stepped from behind the counter to give her a hug.
“Tim!!! Dad sends his love and Mom is sick as usual… I’m here for floor joist hangers, want to point me in the right direction?”
It took Inuyasha a little while to calm down after the vision of Kagome. When she came up to check out he was somewhat in control of himself.
“So, remodeling?” Inuyasha asked, trying to keep conversation neutral.
“Yeah… working on the bathroom on my half of the house. I underestimated the number of joists as I decided to run them crosswise. I HATE having to run up here in the middle of a project. How are you?”
Inuyasha grinned, “Not to sound cliché but better now that I’ve seen you. What are you wearing today?”
Kagome blushed and flirted back. “Now if I tell you it won’t be a surprise will it? Just trust I will look fantastic. I also have an idea or two… I would like to see about REALLY angering those gossips.”
Inuyasha and Kagome continued to chat between customers until Tim let out a sharp clear of his throat.
“Sorry Lovebirds, but I think you should know it is two thirty.” Inuyasha turned bright red and went to clock out. Kagome stuck around and waited for him to come out of the back room. They chatted a little while more and Kagome took off to work in her house.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~3:30 pm~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kagome stood in the break room, waiting her turn to get into the refrigerator. She heard the main door open and looked up to see a Vision in Red.
Inuyasha looked to his right and was thunderstruck. Kagome stood in a tiered blue and white skirt, a dark blue fitted polo shirt and a pair of white strappy sandals. Her hair was curled, sprayed and glittered and her makeup was absolutely lovely.
Kagome turned very pink. Inuyasha looked amazing, he was wearing a black button down shirt with bright red flames coming up from the hem. His baggy dark blue jeans made him look like he was fresh out of high school, and his long hair hung freely, allowing his cute ears to twitch in embarrassment.
“You look great!” Was uttered from two mouths at once. Inuyasha and Kagome both laughed as they walked a little more toward each other. They were making small talk when the main door opened again. Inuyasha turned to look and his jaw dropped.
Auralay had stopped traffic. Her long blonde hair was up in a twist secured with two chopsticks, she had made two magenta jagged stripes on her cheeks and her eyes were made up like a geisha. She was wearing a short sleeved mandarin collar shirt of red patterned brocade, and a black brocade knee length skirt. Her feet were resting in black strappy sandals similar to Kagome’s.
Kagome laughed as she looked at Auralay. “My dear you look Stunning!!!” She gently took two fingers to put Inuyasha’s chin back into place.
Inuyasha blushed that he was caught staring. “I regret telling you I am not single now Auralay. You can really turn heads.”
Auralay just tossed her head and calmly replied, “I know.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thirty Minutes Later~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The call center floor was abuzz with the news, Auralay had every male eye in the place on her, and Inuyasha and Kagome were making quite a scene.
“Oh yes, Yash, I know just how you like your tea, two sugars one teaspoon of milk.”
“Don’t forget that I NEED you to stay around me ALL the time to make SURE I don’t run out of anything I might need.”
“Oh you know I could never leave your side Yash.”
Auralay had just walked one step to the right and one step behind Sesshomaru. She would giggle and be in general submissive to him to make sure her point was heard.
As they finished arriving in the class Sesshomaru broke into light chuckles while the rest went into full out laughter.
Sesshomaru got up in front of the class and let them laugh awhile before starting on the day reminding them not to let anyone get to them no matter the situation.

The point was proven, the issue resolved and the first set of HOMES training complete with working in Amadeus as beginners. Auralay, Inuyasha and Kagome were gathering up their things to begin the trek home.
Then Inuyasha had to open his mouth.
“So Fluffy what is on tomorrow’s agenda?”
Sesshomaru growled and started to make a move on Inuyasha before Auralay stepped in.
“No Sesshou, you mustn’t.” She said gently.
“Yeah, I was just teasing you Brother.” Inuyasha gently bowed his head in shame as he realized the fallout would be the harm of Auralay and Kagome.
Sesshomaru was still in attack mode when he was heard to utter. “This must be settled half breed. What do you say to a duel?”
Kagome gasped and took a stand in front of Inuyasha. “No my lord! You cannot kill him! I will not permit it!” She had tears start to form in her eyes. Inuyasha blinked carefully and gently placed a hand on her shoulder.
“We don’t do that anymore Kagome, we only fight our duels at games.” Kagome blushed rapidly and Sesshomaru came to his senses.
“Choose your weapon Inuyasha. It cannot be a game we have done before. You must also choose your second.”
Inuyasha thought, he recalled Tim mentioning a pool hall, and Kagome being a college student, she would have Had to hang out at the bars, right? “Billiards, and for my second I choose Kagome.”
Kagome gasped, she didn’t think her family had known of her prowess with the cue, her code name in the trade being Hammer.
Sesshomaru then replied, “Very well, billiards it is, as long as Auralay will be my second?”
Auralay looked surprised, “Why me?”
Sesshomaru then smirked in his smug way. “Because your background leads me to believe that you have spent your share of time in the halls, and possibly even using the cues on the balls.”
Auralay laughed aloud, “You got me pegged Sesshou, I would be proud to be your second.”
