The Races

Chapter 9

After lunch Kagome and Sango did not talk so the rest of the day was passed in silence pretty much, with the exception of Kikyo’s non-stop talking.

Sesshoumaru caught up with her at the end of the day. “I expect to see you in an hour at the house.” With that he walked away.

“Yes your highness.” She said as he moved away but she knew that he heard her because of the pause in his step. Shippo had to stay after for tutoring so she rode home alone.

When Kagome got home she expected the house to be empty but Tasukie was sitting in the living room. She continued to walk as if she had not seen him. Up stairs she pulled out a box and was packing some of her stuff.
She managed to get half of her cloths into left over boxes from when she moved in. About now 45 minutes had passed, ‘by the time I get this into my car and hour will have passed. Sesshoumaru is not going to be very happy.’ She thought as she carried the first two boxes down stairs.

Tasukie watched her walk back and forth for a bout 15 minutes until she came down empty handed with the exception of her keys. He called out to her. “Kagome, come in here please.”

Kagome walked into the room cautiously, “What can I do for you before I leave?” she asked politely remembering what the guys had said.

Tasukie got up from his chair and walked across the room, when he reached Kagome he slapped her across her face and then grabbed her arms and forced her up against the wall behind her. “Why don’t you give me a parting gift?” He sneered as he rubbed his hardened member against her. “You couldn’t just be an obedient little bitch like your mother, no you had to be mouthy and unruly, and get me hot with your little displays of disobedience.” He said as he rubbed against her. He tried to kiss her but she pulled her head away earning her another slap across the same cheek. “Bitch you will submit to me before you leave for that dogs house.” With that he attempted to lose his pants and started to tug on hers.

Kagome was scared shitless, she could not even think to bring her miko powers to her defense, ‘This is so not happening this has to be a nightmare I’m gonna wake up soon.’ Then she felt him tugging on her pants and just when he got the unbuttoned she heard a growl.

“Get your filthy hands off what is mine.” Sesshoumaru said from the door way of the room. The front door was unlocked so he decided to walk in, he started looking for Kagome because she was a half-hour late. He followed her scent to the living room to find a fearfully shocked Kagome and a deranged Tasukie trying to have his way with her.

Sesshoumaru ripped Tasukie away from Kagome and she was on her feet once more she ran to his side and buried her face into his side. “What the fuck.” Inuyasha said from the door way.

Inuyasha had offered to come and see if Kagome needed any help moving her stuff and when his brother didn’t come back out with her in toe he got out of the car to see what was up. When he walked into the room he could smell Tasukie’s arousal and Kagome’s fear think in the air. He watched as Kagome flung herself at Sesshoumaru. When she moved he caught a look at the already healing bruise on her cheek.

“Inuyasha escort Kagome out side.” Sesshoumaru said as he placed Kagome’s hand in his brothers as he glared at
Tasukie. Once the two were out of the house, Sesshoumaru turned on Tasukie. “If you are ever foolish enough to touch what is mine again, I will kill you. Just because you are my father’s friend does not mean you are mine. Be assured that I only spare you now out of respect for him. But that does NOT give you immunity should you fuck up and touch her again.” With that Sesshoumaru left Tasukie sitting on the floor with his pants still around his ankles.

Out side Kagome was being held by Inuyasha and Inuyasha looked at a lose. He had not an idea of what to do so he rubbed her back and let her cry.

Sesshoumaru pulled Kagome to him and sat on the trunk of his car with her in his arms. He released a calming growl and rocked her, after a while her cries subsided, and her breathing slowed and deepened.

“Inuyasha drive my car back, I will take Kagome back in her’s.” Sesshoumaru said as he slid off the trunk and walked over to Kagome’s car to put her in the passenger seat. After he buckled her in he walked over to the driver seat. He had to slide the seat all the way back because she was so short compared to his height. As he followed his brother car he glanced to Kagome every once in awhile and noticed he smooth her car handled. ‘No wonder the girl wins all of her races she put a lot of money into this car. I would love to race in it once.’ He thought as he pulled up in to the gated and punched in the security code, then proceeded to the house.

He got out and grabbed Kagome from the passenger seat being careful not to wake her. One he entered the house
Jaken came screeching loudly. “Oh master Sesshoumaru you’re home.”

Kagome stirred in his arms and woke up. “Well seems how you have awoken Kagome, you can go and get her things out of her car, and you will be doing it alone.” With that he carried Kagome up a set of stairs and through a set of large dark doors that had a large carving of what looked to be a dog demon in its true form moon bathing in the moon’s light.

“I could have walked Sesshoumaru.” Kagome said quietly.

Sesshoumaru lifted his eyebrow. “Is it so disgusting to be held by this Sesshoumaru?”

Kagome flushed as the entered what appeared to be a bed room. “No I was just trying to think of how you must feel. You know carrying a ‘human’ as you like to call me.”

Sesshoumaru sat down on the bed with Kagome on his lap. “If I found you or being around you repulsive I would not have agreed to our mating.” He said as he nuzzled her hair. The stench of Tasukie and his arousal still clung to Kagome. “Come I will show you to the bathroom so you may bathe for dinner.” Well he couldn’t exactly tell her she smelled for fear that she would freak-out or start to cry again.

“Thank you.” She said as he stood up and set her on her feet. He took her hand and led her to a door off in the corner. In side held a full bathroom: bathtub, shower, sink, and toilet.

Sesshoumaru left her to shower as he relaxed on the bed, He would have to tell his father about Tasukie’s attempt on Kagome. But he would say something after dinner. Just then Jaken walked in with a box and he started to set in by the bed, then turned and left.

Kagome was in the shower, ‘What the hell was Tasukie thinking?’ She was in there for a whole twenty minutes. Until she got out and wrapped a towel around her. When she exited the bathroom and saw Sesshoumaru lounging on the bed. “What the hell are you doing in here?”

“Obviously, my dear, you have not smelled around. This is my room you shall be sleeping here with me.” Sesshoumaru said with a slight smirk as he watched Kagome’s eyes widen.

“Oh.” Was all she could say. She saw her boxes by the bed and walked over to them to pick out some cloths. She was startled by Sesshoumaru when he again stuck his nose into her hair.

“Much better,” he said in a low growl almost a purr, “I will leave to let you get dressed.” With that he left. Kagome dressed quickly and then left the room.

Out side the room Kagome discovered that she had no idea where she was going so she followed Sesshoumaru’s scent. It took her a while because his scent was all over the house. Finally she found him in the dining room with the rest of the family. “Sorry I had a hard time sniffing him out to get around.” Kagome blushed as every one looked up at her. ‘Even that sounded weird to me.’ Inu No Tashio just threw his head back and laughed at her blush. Of course he knew what she meant.

Sesshoumaru stood and held out a chair be side him for her. ‘Well at least he has manors.’

“It’s good to see you well Kagome.” Inu No Tashio said from his spot at the head of the table. At hearing this Kagome tensed as she remembered what almost happened.

Sesshoumaru sensed her attitude shift and grasped her hand beneath the table top. Inu No Tashio noticed the change as well but did not comment on it seem how Sesshoumaru reacted to her distress. He smirked at this.

Inuyasha was going to say something but he caught the look he received from Sesshoumaru. Obviously he was going to broach the topic when Kagome was not around. Inu No Tashio caught this but decided that his sons would tell him when they were ready.

As dinner was eaten light talk was made. It was mainly Izayoi asking Kagome about herself. Kagome talked of her childhood and her training in the mountains. She became saddened when she talked about her charge Kara, but she talked about her any way. When they got to where Kagome started to live in civilization again Izayoi stopped her. “What ever happened to Kara?”

Kagome tensed up and looked down at her plate, “She died.” She whispered. Even though it was a whisper they rooms occupants heard her. Kagome looked up with her eyes filled with regret, “Excuse me.” She said before she rose and walked out of the dining room.

“Im sorry I didn’t mean to upset her.” Izayoi said with worry.

Sesshoumaru nodded to let her know that he knew that she did not mean to offend her or make her upset. “I believe that there is more to the story than she is letting on.” Sesshoumaru stated before he too stood and began to walk out of the dining room. He paused by the door way, “Father Inuyasha need to talk to you in your study after I see that Kagome is alright.” With that he left and followed Kagome’s scent up stairs into his room.

“Kagome,” He said as he entered the room. “Kagome,” he saw her lying straight across the bed. She was not crying that much he could smell, but she was sad and depressed. “Kagome will you tell me what has you so sad?” He crawled onto the bed and nuzzled her while softly whimpering.

Kagome relaxed at this action. “Ok, I will tell you, but you must promise to not think less of me after wards.”

“I could never think less of you after I what, I myself have done in my past.” Sesshoumaru said as he continued to nuzzle her as he thought about the centuries that he tortured those around him.

Kagome took a deep breath and started her tail, the one that both made and ruined her life, the tail of he lost charge and the stabbing pain and cold bitter taste of failure.
