Deja Vu
Chapter 9
Inuyasha's ears perked up, sensing that something was amiss. The half demon exited out of the hutt, and looked around, his nose working into overtime to detect the source of the trouble.
It appeared to his eyes first, as the skies turned black with evil and malice. The disturbance was focused in one place, as a horde of demons descended out of the clouds and headed torwards the village.
"Inuyasha..." started Miroku as he also exited Kaede's hutt, but stopped when he saw the horde of demons.
"Naraku no doubt, wanting to give a little payback for us rescueing Kagome." said Miroku, preparing to use his wind tunnel. Inuyasha clamped his arm over Miroku's hand though, and pointed up torwards the cloud of demons. There, inter-mixed with the demons were several swarms of saimyosho insects, reading to spread their poision into his system if he sucked them in.
"I'll take care of them." said Inuyasha, drawing his sword from it's sheath.
"Take this. WIND SCAR!" he yelled, unleashing the deadly energy attack upon the horde of demons. The blast was about to impact them, when several specks of energy emerged from the horde, intersecting the wind scar and dispersing it.
From out of the horde flew Kagura, aloft on her trusty feather, ready to do battle once again.
Inuyasha and Miroku were joined by Kaede-sama and her arrows, Shippou, Kirara, and several of the villagers armed with arrows and swords.
"It looks like we have a battle on our hands here." said Miroku through clenched teeth.
"Yeah..." agreed Inuyasha, although privatley he just wondered if Sango and Kagome were going to be okay.
'Please be safe, Sango and Kagome. I would never forgive myself if anything happened to the either of you.'

"The skies are becoming ominous." said Sango, releasing her hold on Kagome.
"I sense something...Shikon jewel shards...and they are black..." whispered Kagome, a slight tremor returning to her body as she sensed Naraku's presence.
"Don't worry Kagome, I'll protect you." said Sango with determination in her voice, standing up and retrieving her weapon.
"Sango..." came the soft whisper of a voice from behind her....
Sango turned around, coming face to face with Kanna. The little demon had her mirror facing Sango's face, and before the demonslayer could turn away, the mirror caught her attention and gaze, freezing her in place.
"I shall have...your soul..." said Kanna, as Sango's soul was being pulled out of her body and into the mirror.
"SANGO!!!" yelled Kagome, lunging torwards her friend, but a tentacle snagged around her foot, causing her to crash to the ground. Kagome managed to get to her knees and turned to look at the offending intruder, only to come face to face with Naraku.
"You..." Kagome hissed, venom in her voice.
"Watch now, dear Kagome, as your friend joins her brother in the afterlife." taunted Naraku, a big evil grin slashing it's way across his lower face.
"NOOO! SANGO!!!" Kagome again yelled, trying to reach her friend before her soul was all gone. But Kagome was too late, as Sango's soul was pulled into her mirror, leaving her body to fall lifeless to the earth.
"Hahahaha..." laughed Naraku outloud, releasing his hold on Kagome, allowing the miko to crawl to her lifeless friend.
"Let's go, Kanna, time to leave." said Naraku, beckoning the child after him. The two of them disappeared into the clouds, leaving Kagome alone with Sango's body.
"Sango...ooohhh Sango....NOOOO!!!!" yelled Kagome into the evening air, tears springing forth from her eyes as she hugged Sango tightly. Not again.
Not again.

The last of the demons fell to Kirara and Shippou, leaving Inuyasha to face Kagura.
"Looks like your all alone now Kagura." said Inuyasha with a big smirk on his face.
"No matter, our goals here have been accomplished." replied Kagura, grinning herself, satifised with her work.
"Huh? Last time I counted everyone was alive. What do you mean?" asked Inuyasha, suspicion lacing his voice.
"Under Naraku's orders, all we were to do was to keep you occupied, while Kagome took out her angers and frustrations on her supposedly 'Best' friend and sister. Huh." informed Kagura, her grin growing even wider as she flew off on her feather.
"No! Sango!" yelled Miroku as he began running torwards the hot springs. Kirara and Shippou both ran after him, with Inuyasha following.
They were too late to save Kohaku. Please, don't let it be the same for Sango as well...
