“Well are you coming or not?” Ash asked as she put her pale green slippers back on her feet. Sango and Miroku had just returned from their visit to the well, and were staring at the strange visitor.
“You are well?” Sango asked, as they entered the hut, Ash following them in.
“Yes,” she replied, as she stood next to the door. “My powers have returned to me and I need to get to Sesshomaru’s castle. I fear for my demon friend’s life, it seems as though a black shroud has fallen over her aura.”
“Are ye a Miko?” Kaede asked, since Ash had not spoken once she awoken, Kaede took the opportunity to question the strange girl.
“I honestly don’t know what I am,” Ash replied as she pulled back the door. “But I am no Miko. A Miko should be good and pure, and what I have done in the past. Well lets just say little of it can be considered good.”
“And you want us to trust you to travel with us?!” Sango remarked, still upset from her friend’s departure and weary of Ash. “How do we know you will not try to kill us?! You could be just trying to trick us and kill us.”
“Sango,” Miroku gasped and Sango’s quick and harsh words.
“One sin I have never committed was taking another’s life,” Ash replied, as she walked out the door. “How will you find the great castle of the West?”
“You know where it is?” Miroku asked as he walked out, Sango behind him.
“Indeed I do,” she replied, picking up a fallen leaf and twirling it by the stem in between her fingers. “It’s about a three days journey from here if we travel at a normal human pace. You two are far from normal humans, we can make it in a day and a half. That is if you wish to see your Hanyou friend. Coming?”
“Like we have a choice,” Sango snorted as she picked up her Hiraikotsu.
“We all have choices in this life to make,” Ash replied as she started walking away. “Sometimes we need to take a harder look to find the other option.”
“Are we going to get started on our journey or toss words?” Sango huffed as she walked passed her.
“Your anger won’t bring her back,” Ash informed her. Sango stopped in her tracks, and Ash passed by her a smirk on her face. Sighing, Miroku followed the two feuding ladies, knowing he would have to make sure they don‘t kill each other. Well no one said he couldn’t steal a grope while pulling them apart, he thought to himself.
“What are you smiling about,” Sango hissed at him, tearing him from his thoughts.
“If you only knew,” he replied as they followed Ash.

InuYasha settled into Sesshomaru’s castle with little resistance as a little girl had stolen his heart. Running around the gardens, playing with Rin had help soothe his aching heart. Even though he had only been in the castle for two days now, he was starting to feel like he had a home again. They both stop running around when they heard screaming coming from the castle.
“GET OUT ALL OF YOU!” Sesshomaru roared. “WORTHLESS ALL OF YOU!”
“Lord InuYasha..” Rin began, fearing for Lord Sesshomaru’s happiness.
“Please Rin I have told you not to call me Lord,” InuYasha said as he picked up the child, sensing her worry over what was happing in the castle. After breakfast yesterday, Sesshomaru went upstairs to retrieve Taijina, only to find her asleep and feverish. Nothing he did would awake her, and the healers could not help her.
“Sorry InuYasha,” Rin sighed as she stared up at the castle. The sun was shinning and it was a beautiful day, yet a black cloud seem to hang over the castle. “Will Lady Taijina ever awake?”
“Of course she will,” InuYasha assured her, truth was he had no idea if she would ever awake again. Damn his brother and his poisonous claws, he had almost killed Kagome with those claws once. Kagome, his heart almost stopped as the name entered his mind.
“InuYasha,” Rin said, as he shook him a little. “Are you sick? You have gone pale.”
“I’m fine Rin,” he told her as he set the girl down. Standing up he noticed two familiar scents heading towards the castle, and one he could not identify. Suddenly Sesshomaru stormed out of the castle and headed towards the barrier around the castle. “Come Rin, let’s get you some lunch.”
“Okay,” Rin replied as she let InuYasha lead her back into the castle, her eyes looking towards where he Lord had disappeared.

“Well you did lead us to the castle,” Sango sighed, as they could not go on because a barrier had forced them to a stop. “But how do we get beyond the barrier?”
“Easy enough,” Ash grinned. They had traveled for a day now. The monk and slayer had proven they were stronger then she originally thought. Pointing a finger at the barrier, her finger glowed a bright blue. The blue light shot at the barrier making a hole in the wall for them to pass thru.
“Lord Sesshomaru isn’t going to like this,” Miroku said as the passed thru the barrier, the hole disappearing as Kirara, the last one, passed thru.
“Well he will just have to deal with it,” Ash replied as she marched forward. “I’m not going to let her die.”
“How is it you know her?” Miroku asked as they continued their journey thru the forest.
“We’ve met before,” Ash replied as she removed a branch that got caught on her dress. “Long ago when she was trying to find herself. This Lord Sesshomaru everyone talks about isn’t as grand as everyone thinks. He’s just a spoiled puppy with power.”
“Is that so?” Sesshomaru smirked as he appeared in front of the group. The fear radiated off the monk and slayer, but the strange one was burning with anger. “You are trespassing.”
“And you are killing her,” Ash replied threw her gritted teeth. “Now let me entrance to your castle or she will be dead.”
“What can you do to help her,” he sneered, as the other two looked on with shocked looks.
“I can heal her,” she replied. “I know the herbs to heal any poison, even yours.”
“If you fail I shall kill you,” Sesshomaru replied as he turned and walked away.
“Fair enough,” Ash laughed, knowing she could never die. Following Sesshomaru, she turned and waved the other two on. Sango and Miroku looked at each other, their shock clear on their face. Shrugging the followed Ash and Sesshomaru to the castle.
