Misconceptions Of A Hero
plans and plots
The plot was set; everything was
going according to plan. Haisurah’s long slender fingers
traced the intricate patterns along the dagger’s blade; she
smiled as a trickle of blood trailed down her arm as she pierced her
flesh. It was a lovely little weapon, perfectly fashioned as a
katana, only much smaller and much more convenient than the samurai
sword. She had been monitoring their movements since they left her
cave, with the notions of course that she had met her demise. When
that intolerable hanyou and his wench disappeared, she kept her watch
on the monk and Taijiya, eventually she knew, that they would all
congregate again.
She set the trap.
First, she had to lure the monk,
taijiya, and their other two companions. They would be bait. She
already tried capturing the miko, and that did not seem to bode well
for her own future. The hanyou was strong, especially when it came
to her, but she knew that this Kagome was also quite the weakness of
his. At least she was able to rid them of that child, that horrible
abomination. If it were born, it would have only caused more
problems, with both demon powers and the purity of the priestess
energies… Haisurah shuddered; her slight bout of fear was
replaced quickly with an evil smile.
They would all soon be making a
permanent departure.

“What do you mean,
something is wrong?” Kagome jumped up nearly screaming. She
could feel his unease; it surged through her and made her own worse.
The scent of danger, of unknowing… all rolled into one. He
grabbed her hand and kissed her temple. Inuyasha then moved from the
bed and stood, hastily dressed and then was still for a moment. He
knew she was feeling better, she was practically back to normal…
but he still feared her getting hurt. However, he figured that what
he feared more was being separated from her.
“Get dressed. We have to go
back. I don’t think that bitch that killed our pup is burning
in hell quite yet. Miroku and Sango might be in danger.” Her
eyes were wide. He hadn’t wanted to startle her but he knew
she understood. Quietly, and quickly, Kagome went to her closet and
put on some comfortable clothing. Minutes later she emerged ready to
go, a look of determination hid her underlying apprehension, but
nonetheless he knew.
“I have to say goodbye to mama
and everyone before we leave.” She was solemn as she picked up
her yellow bag and exited the room. Inuyasha felt terrible for
having to ruin their one opportunity for a little peace, but there
was a thick sense of evil permeating the air… It was a
priority to keep everyone safe, if something happened who knows how
it could drastically change the future they were so enjoying.
Inuyasha went to the shrine to wait.
About an hour later, Kagome emerged
with the yellow bag seemingly determined.
“Alright, I'm here... lets go
get this over with.” He could tell she was shaky in her
temperament but carefully, he decided to pretend he did not notice
this. Pulling her close he kissed her softly, whispering his
affection. They passed from one world to the last.
