Click and clash

Kagome was only in the hospital for a night and that was just for observation. However, she metioned sevral times to Sesshomaru that no one was acutally observing her and that she was board out of her life. He had gone home only to shower and she had called telling him he was taking to long.

"What are you doing? Istalling the shower itself? What's taking so long? You said that you'd be right back its been like, two hours." Kagome yelled at the phone reciver. "I'm coming just keep you paper gown on will ya." Sesshomaru answered. "Um...hey. Could you go by my place and get me some clothes? Because you didn't think to grab any on your way out." Kagome said sarcasticly, "I should kill you for bringing me here naked!"

"Oh. so you would have rathered me dress you while you were nearly bleeding to death then bring you to the hospital?" Sesshomaru asked. "No, but you could have at least grab me a dress and some panties! Anything! Something!" Kagome barked. "Ok, i'll remember that next time your dying Kagome." Sesshomaru laughed into his cell phone.
"Oh whatever just hurry it up! This bed is really making my butt sore!" Kagome hung the phone up.

Sesshomaru fianly got to the hospital with Kagome's clothes. The doctor had already discharged her so they left immedatly. Sesshomaru took Kagome back to her place she noticed her front door was broken. 'It was probaly from him breaking in to help me.' When they finaly got in she looked around to see if anything was stolen. When she was satisfied that nothing was taken she sat down slowly on the couch and sighed.

Sesshomaru had brought some tools to fix her door with and after a while it was done. He sat next to her on the couch. There was slience for what seemed like forever until Sesshomaru spoke.
"Why were you crying?"

The question surprised Kagome, and she really didn't want to answer him just yet. So, she stalled, "I don't know what your talking about."
She was avoiding the question and Sesshomaru didn't like it. When someone avoided any question it always meant they had something to hide. "Yes, you do. I could smell you tears Kagome. Don't lie to me, you have no reason to."

Kagome put her hand on her bandaged head and sighed. It was time to fess up and she was mad at herself for letting it go this far.

"Sesshomaru...I...I was crying because of what happened yesterday. I always seem to screw up any good thing I got going when I open my big mouth and I did it again." She stared at the carpet. "I suppose you know that I have feelings for you that are not just lust based. However, with everything that has happened between us. I'm not so sure that expressing those feelings is such a good idea anymore." Kagome was holding back tears as Sesshomaru heard his heart break.

He too had begun to have feelings for Kagome that were more than just a sexual attraction, but he was hoping that maybe she felt the same way. Knowing now that she was holding back her feelings for him hurt his heart more than telling him she didn't love him at all could ever hurt and all he could do was stare at her.

"I don't want you to go Sesshomaru. I feel that I need you with me, but I just think that we are to different. Not because your a demon and i'm human, but because the way we are and who we are just clash. I would much rather to have you as a very good friend and us be together forever, than for us to say we love each other and fall apart. You understand don't you?" Kagome looked into those golded pools and saw pain. She saw the pain of a broken heart.

Sesshomaru just closed his eyes and asked in a clam voice hiding his emotions. "So, are you saying that opposites don't attract?" Kagome smiled as tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Kagome, I don't know how, or why you would let some trival thing as a disagreement or arguement come between you and your true feelings, but I wont do it. I have been denying my true feelings for centuries and I won't do it any longer." He opened his eyes and stared at her. "You are the North to my South, the East to my West and I wont let you go, ever. I refuse to let the best thing that has ever happened to me slip through my fingers."

Kagome tears were all and a waterfall now as she took in what he said. "I don't care how long it takes for you to realize you love me, but I will not go another day without telling you how I feel." Sesshomaru pulled Kagome into his lap. He gently wiped away a tear that had just fallen from her eyes. "I love you Kagome and not even your big mouth, any arguements we might have, disagreements we have will ever, ever change that. So when you are ready to tell me how you feel. I'll be right here waiting to hear those words that will make my heart soar."

Sesshomaru kiss her passionatly and all Kagome could do was give into him. He had told her that he loved her and yet she could not do the same. It seemed that the Ice Prince had died a long time ago. And in his place was a man full of passion and a fire for love and for her.
