CHAPTER NINE: LOYALTY
Kagura looked on from her hidden perch on a tree limb with her mouth open in an ‘o’ of surprise as Kikyou, with her head held high, pronounced, “Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru must be destroyed.”
“NO ” Kagome’s voice rang out like a clear bell.
Inuyasha gasped and a shocked laugh escaped his lips. Sesshoumaru was silent, but Tokijin became a bright red flame in his hand. Inuyasha moved to confront Kikyou, but Sesshoumaru herded him back by sweeping Tokijin in front of his path.
“Sesshoumaru, what are you doing? Let me—”
“No,” Sesshoumaru whispered fiercely. “Let us see who takes our side, Inuyasha. We need to know where their loyalties lie. Trust me on this.”
Inuyasha nodded slowly, the mutinous expression on his face showing that he did not truly agree with the plan. But he stood back with Sesshoumaru, feeling his brother’s heat against his side while the others argued about their fate.
Kikyou spread her arms at her sides as if to encompass all the companions in her conversation with Kagome. “Are two beings … no matter how dear to us individually … worth the lives of all the rest of the world? For that is what it will cost if we allow Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru to live ”
Kagome drew herself up and said, “I come from the future, Kikyou, and I assure you the world is still there as it ever was. This destruction that you speak of never comes to pass.”
“Kagome’s right. Her home is in the future and the world is fine. How do you explain that, Kikyou?” Miroku asked.
Kikyou stared at the other miko long and hard. “There are two explanations. First, Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru die and, therefore, the Ancient does not come to Earth.”
“Not acceptable Not going to happen ” Kagome practically growled. “What is the other explanation?”
Instead of answering, Kikyou asked, “Kagome, tell me about the future. What is the world like?”
Kagome groaned. “That’s almost impossible to answer. There are so many things you just wouldn’t understand Inuyasha, you’ve seen it … you know what I mean.”
“It is different,” he answered softly.
“How different, Inuyasha? Are there many demons there?” Kikyou asked.
The hanyou rubbed his forehead, straining to remember if he had sensed any nearby when he visited with Kagome and her family. “Well … no, not that I noticed.”
“Did you notice any at all?” Her keen eyes pierced him and he stood up straighter.
“Ah … no. But that doesn’t mean—”
Kikyou held up a restraining hand and Inuyasha went silent. “What about magic, Kagome? Is magic practiced there?”
“No. People don’t really … believe in stuff like that anymore.” Kagome thought guiltily of all the times her grandfather had tried to give her magic amulets and she’d refused them sure they were junk and would not work. And truthfully, those that she had taken hadn’t done anything at all.
“Do they not believe in magic, because it’s no longer practiced or do they not believe … because there is none anymore?” Kikyou lifted an elegant eyebrow up.
Kagome said nothing. She shifted her feet uneasily wondering where Kikyou was going with this.
“What would you say most describes this era, the era we are in now? Come now, Kagome, be honest. Is it not the battle between humans and demons?”
“For us, at least, it is the battle for the Shikon jewel. Humans and demons are working together in this fight,” Kagome said as she gestured to her human and demon companions.
“Ah, but you realize that your group of companions is … quite an exception to the rule? For as long as humans and demons have co-existed the battle has raged between them and I would venture to guess that the battle will never end so long as that coexistence continues. Now about your time … is the battle still raging?”
Kagome opened her mouth and closed it several times. Then she stamped her foot, realizing Kikyou sought to sway her, but that was useless because she would never agree to hurt Inuyasha no matter what the cost to the world. “All this talk doesn’t matter. None of us are going to harm Inuyasha or Sesshoumaru. Period, end of story, Kikyou ”
“So the battle is over and your world is devoid of demons and magic, all three things that make this world … what it is,” Kikyou said mildly.
Miroku and Sango paled. Shippou gave out a low moan as he buried his nose in Kirara’s fur. Rin petted Shippou’s back gently, trying to comfort him. Jaken’s beak just dropped open. The silence settled over the group like a thick blanket. The chirping of the crickets in the long grass seemed too loud.
Kikyou brushed down the front of her robes. “So to answer your earlier question, Kagome, the second alternative … and the more likely solution … is that Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha do not die, the Ancient comes to Earth and … demons and magic are wiped out. Just like the beings and their way of life before the first Shikon jewel came. Now the question is do we want this future that Kagome has painted for us?”
Sesshoumaru moved so swiftly that no human could have tracked him, let alone stopped the blow that was to fall, but Inuyasha saw and moved just as quickly. He had drawn the Tetsusaiga and blocked Tokijin from slicing through Kikyou’s skull. The two brothers remained still for some time. Sesshoumaru pressed down with Tokijin to get to the miko’s flesh and Inuyasha blocked him with all his strength. A bead of sweat ran down Inuyasha’s temple.
“Sesshoumaru … please, don’t do this.” Inuyasha’s sword arm shook as he strained to keep Tokijin away from the miko.
“She must die, brother. She is a threat to us. She means to spread her lies to others. Do you wish to be hunted? There is much land to cover between here and our home. Let me do this,” Sesshoumaru hissed.
“She is just afraid. Angry, hurt and afraid. She doesn’t deserve to die for that,” Inuyasha pleaded as sweat began to pour down his face and the shaking in his sword arm intensified. ‘Sesshoumaru is so strong and I sense he’s still holding back. Oh, gods, what ever made me think I could best him … no, I must try … must continue to fight … not give in to despair.’
“Precious one, your heart will be the death of you. The death of us both ”
“I would have nothing harm you … harm us, Sesshoumaru, but I can’t … can’t allow you to just slaughter her
Sesshoumaru’s eyes narrowed, but there was a stabbing sensation in his own heart. Sesshoumaru knew he could overpower Inuyasha and cut the miko down like wheat. But he stayed his hand for he knew it would hurt his brother horribly if he took that course. Inuyasha realized he had won the battle for the moment and began to give him an impish grin when suddenly the smile died. Inuyasha’s eyes grew glazed and a slight gasp exited his mouth. Then he stumbled forward into his brother’s chest. Sticking out from his back was an arrow and behind him was Kikyou with her bow still held in its firing position.
There was a moment of silence as all present realized what had happened. Sesshoumaru lowered his brother’s prone body to the ground, snapping off as much of the arrow’s shaft as he could so that it would not cause further injury as he rested Inuyasha on his side. Kagome, with a strangled cry, knelt down by Inuyasha, her pale hands hovering over his white face. His eyes were closed, his breathing shallow.
Then Sango moved. She swung her boomerang and knocked the bow out of Kikyou’s hands. The miko did nothing to avoid the blow. Her eyes were fixed on Inuyasha. Her expression was unreadable. Miroku grabbed Kikyou’s arms and held them forcefully behind her back.
“If you try to move I will …,” Miroku broke off as his voice was shaking too much to continue.
“Why is he unconscious?” Kagome asked Sesshoumaru. “He has survived far worse Why is he …”
“It is a sacred arrow, Kagome. You should know their effect on demons and … half-demons,” Kikyou spoke suddenly.
Kagome whirled around to face her. Her face a mask of pain and hate. She drew her bow and notched an arrow and aimed it for her former self’s heart. “And how do they work on dead priestesses?”
Kikyou’s face remained impassive. “Take your revenge if you must. I have done half of what needs to be completed to protect—”
Sango shouted, “No Do not say another word about that You offered two alternatives. One in which the Ancient came and one in which it did not. You knew … knew there was a chance that this,” Sango jerked her head to Inuyasha’s still form, “that this could be unnecessary But you did it anyway … when his back was turned … when he was protecting you.”
A shudder ran through Kikyou’s form, but she continued to hold her head high.
“How could you?” Kagome asked, her voice shaking, but her bow hand steady. “Are you … am I so … awful that I would rather him die than be with someone other than me?”
Sesshoumaru remained still during the exchange, it was as if he were also transfixed by an arrow. Then he grasped the portion of the shaft outside of Inuyasha’s body. “Brother … precious one … I must get the arrow out. It will hurt, but the pain will be quick.”
With a vicious twist and pull the arrow was free. The unconscious hanyou gave out a whimper as the arrow was removed. Sesshoumaru stripped off Inuyasha’s fire rat robes so he could see the entrance wound. He ripped sections of his own robes to create a bandage. Jaken whispered a healing spell on the wound. There wasn’t much blood and the wound appeared to close slightly, but Inuyasha did not wake. After making sure that Inuyasha was resting as comfortably as possible, Sesshoumaru moved again too quickly for human senses to follow. Tokijin was pressed to Kikyou’s throat as Sesshoumaru said, “Miko, tell me about the effect this sacred arrow is having on Inuyasha.”
Kikyou’s black eyes regarded Sesshoumaru impassively. Sesshoumaru pressed his sword harder against her pale neck and a line of gray appeared. Ash whispered out from the wound instead of blood.
“Tell me or be destroyed this moment,” Sesshoumaru said, his voice almost inflectionless, but his eyes were twin pools of blue fire. He was fighting the transformation that had overtaken him near the pool when Kagome had forced Inuyasha to sit, but it was a battle he was fast losing.
“The arrow is draining his life force.”
“How can it be stopped?”
She shrugged, her eyes glittering in the moonlight whether from unshed tears or glee that she had bested Sesshoumaru was unclear. “I do not believe it can be. The irony is that if he were in his human form the arrow’s magic couldn’t hurt him, but the wound itself would probably have killed him.”
“Then what is to stop me from taking your head and your soul this moment to feed Tokijin, priestess?” Sesshoumaru asked, his sword slicing deeper into her neck, letting out more ash.
Kikyou didn’t answer. At that moment, Kaede hurried out from the village to see what was keeping her young demon and human friends. At the sight of Kikyou surrounded on all sides with a sword at her throat and Inuyasha silent and pale as a ghost on the ground, she knew that something terrible had happened and trotted out to the group as fast as her old legs would carry her.
“Gods above, what has happened here?”
“She … she,” Kagome broke off as tears ran down her face, unable to explain.
Sango explained for her, “Kikyou shot Inuyasha in the … in the back … with one of her arrows. He’s … he’s dying.”
“Kikyou Oh, I should have known that … Kikyou, this was a terrible mistake,” Kaede said as she hunkered down by Inuyasha’s side. “Quickly, we must bring him into the village to my hut.”
“She says there is no way to save him in his demon form,” Sesshoumaru said.
“I know of a way to change him to his human form. After that all we will have to do is worry about is whether he can survive the wound or not.”
“I have healed it greatly,” Jaken spoke up. “I do believe even a human could survive the wound in its current state.”
“You are sure you can transform Inuyasha to his human form, old woman?” Sesshoumaru asked.
“Yes,” Kaede answered cautiously.
“Without her help?” Sesshoumaru jerked his chin towards Kikyou.
Kaede swallowed and shut her eyes for a moment, knowing she must answer truthfully, but also knowing that it might condemn her sister to a second death. ‘She went too far … she did the unforgivable. And this is how it should be: Kikyou gone and Kagome, alone, alive.’ So Kaede answered, “I do not need my sister to save him.”
Sesshoumaru smiled, but it was like frost covering a field, “Then it is settled. Jaken take Rin and Shippou back to the village. Make sure they do not look back no matter what they hear.”
The toad demon scuttled over to Kirara where Rin and Shippou huddled. The fox demon’s tail was shaking and Rin was hunkered down so low on Kirara’s back that half of her was hidden by the cat demon’s fur. Neither of the children could believe what Kikyou had done. Jaken climbed up onto Kirara’s back and directed the cat demon to fly them back to the village. Kirara did not hesitate and was in the air in seconds.
As soon as Sesshoumaru was sure the children were gone, he said softly, “Now move away, monk.”
Miroku let go of Kikyou’s arms. He shuddered at the thought that he was willing to stand back and allow Kikyou to be executed, but what she had done to Inuyasha was unforgivable and he sensed that she would try again and again until the deed was truly done and Inuyasha dead. Sango nodded at him and he felt a warm glow in his chest. She understood why he was standing back and not interfering. Sango went over to his side and laced her fingers through his. Both would be witnesses to this. They met Kagome’s eyes. Her’s were filled with tears, but her face was resolute.
“Do it, Sesshoumaru. She won’t stop … she’ll try again if we don’t ... end this.” Her voice broke and she clenched her jaw shut to stop the sobs that wanted to tear out of her both from the thought that Inuyasha lay pallid and still on the ground and that she was sentencing a woman, her former self, to death. Kaede gripped Kagome’s shoulder and both tensed, preparing for what was to come.
Kikyou didn’t move as Sesshoumaru drew back Tokijin, ready to make the killing blow. She simply closed her eyes. Sesshoumaru swung for her neck, but his blade met empty air.
Kagura had watched the scene with growing fear. She drew the feather out from her hair and created the flying platform she used to travel. She knew she had seconds, if that, to get Kikyou away from Sesshoumaru alive. Naraku had not said to protect the miko, but she knew he would want her to. So as Sesshoumaru had pulled back his sword arm, she had sailed towards the miko. Just as the blow was going to come, she had used her wind magic to scoop Kikyou out of the way and up onto the feather platform. She turned the platform towards Naraku’s castle. But she couldn’t help looking back just once. She shuddered at the expression on Sesshoumaru’s face: white as snow, blue flames alive in his eyes, his lips peeled back to show needle sharp fangs. He would never forgive her interference. He would destroy Kikyou, Naraku and herself for it. That was the promise in the look he gave her.
Sesshoumaru was about to pursue the wind sorceress and the miko, but a hand on his arm stopped him. He wheeled around to see who was foolish enough to interfere with him. Kaede’s ancient face looked up at his with some fear, but greater determination. “Ye must remain here, Sesshoumaru, if ye wish Inuyasha to recover. I will require ye blood and he will require ye presence in order to survive this ordeal.”
His nod was more of a jerk. He crouched down by Inuyasha’s side. His one arm would not allow him to carry Inuyasha gently enough to the village. Without being asked, Miroku and Sango came over and lifted Inuyasha as tenderly up as they could with Miroku carrying Inuyasha’s torso and Sango his legs. They began to move Inuyasha towards the village with Kaede in the lead. That left Sesshoumaru and Kagome the only two left behind. He stared at her and she looked at the ground.
Sesshoumaru was about to begin striding after the others when Kagome spoke, “I should have known what she was going to do. I should have stopped her. She’s me after all.”
The youkai’s eyes, back to their golden color, narrowed and his jaw clenched, but he said, “No, on all counts. Whoever Kikyou is now … that is not you. You would never have done that to Inuyasha. Not if he stood still and you had a sacred arrow aimed at his heart for a million years.”
Sesshoumaru then walked past her. His ruined robes close enough to brush against her arm. She clutched at the front of her school girl shirt for a moment, absorbing what Sesshoumaru had said then hurried quickly after him and Inuyasha.
The ceremony Kaede performed took most of the night. She drew Sesshoumaru’s blood and used it as a lure to Inuyasha’s demon side. It allowed her to isolate that side of him and move his repressed human form to the front. Sesshoumaru watched in amazement as his beloved brother’s silver hair darkened to pitch black, the white skin become more golden in tone, and a new innocent expression fell across Inuyasha’s handsome features. When the hanyou’s eyes finally opened, Sesshoumaru nearly gasped at their violet hue.
At first, Inuyasha’s eyes gazed blearily around the room then he caught sight of Sesshoumaru and a small smile played over the hanyou’s full mouth. He raised one pale hand to his forehead and rubbed the bridge of his nose as if his head ached.
“Sesshoumaru … what happened? I feel like I’ve been trounced, but I don’t remember any battle,” Inuyasha rasped out.
Kagome gave a gasp of joy and clapped her hands together in front of her. “You’re back to us ”
Sango and Miroku gave huge grins. Kaede sighed in happiness and exhaustion as the ceremony had taken a lot out of her. Seeing this, Sango and Miroku offered to help her to a bed to rest. The old woman gratefully accepted, but as she reached the doorway she said over her shoulder to Inuyasha, “Rest now, Inuyasha. Ye have much healing to do yet. So no antics … no matter what ye hear.”
Inuyasha raised an eyebrow after her. As he tried to sit up, he gave out a hiss of pain.
“Don’t get up yet, Inuyasha. You were injured. It has to heal,” Kagome ordered.
Sesshoumaru had not moved from his place in the corner of the room. It was as if he was unable to approach his brother now that the hanyou was in his human form. Inuyasha noticed the youkai’s distance and frowned.
“What’s gotten into you, Sesshoumaru? Did I do so badly in battle you don’t want to be associated with me any more?” The question was in jest, but something in the hanyou’s eyes showed that he half-meant it. That was when he saw the color of his hair.
Inuyasha picked up a lock of his black hair from his chest. His breathing began to quicken and his lovely violet eyes grew even wider. “No No, this can’t be. It’s not the new moon … this can’t be … how can I be in my human form?”
His eyes sought out Sesshoumaru’s. The youkai took in a deep breath and quickly exited the hut. Inuyasha gave a strangled cry of pain. ‘He doesn’t want me. Now that he’s seen my human form … oh, gods, I hoped to hide it from him when it came … but now … too late.’
“Oh, Inuyasha Stop struggling to get up, you’ll only making the wound worse. Please lay back. I’ll find Sesshoumaru,” Kagome said.
Her eyes burned with tears. ‘How could Sesshoumaru be so thoughtless, so cruel as to walk away from Inuyasha now? Just because he’s in his human form? Ridiculous Inuyasha is more a demon than most of the full-demons we’ve met ’ It should have made her gleeful that this might mean she could have Inuyasha as her own again, but after what Kikyou did, the thought felt like acid in her veins.
Inuyasha barely acknowledged her. He had lain back down on his side again, tightening into a fetal position. His shoulders shook with barely repressed sobs. ‘I will not cry That is weak and human and … disgusting to Sesshoumaru … oh, gods, what will I do if he will not love me once I transform back?’
Kagome jumped up from Inuyasha’s side and rushed after Sesshoumaru. She did not have to go far to find him. He was standing, gripping the porch railing with his one clawed hand just outside the healing hut’s door. She slammed the sliding door shut and stalked over to him.
“How could you?” She said using her most indignant tone, her hands on her hips. “How could you do that to Inuyasha? After all he’s just been through … don’t you love him any more or is his human-ness too much for your royal highness to bear?”
He whirled around to face her, his eyes golden bright like copper pennies. “I do not have to explain myself to you, miko ”
“No, but you do to Inuyasha who is crying in there like his heart is breaking into a million pieces. So why don’t you practice what you’re going to say to him on me and I’ll let you know if its acceptable,” Kagome said, not backing down one inch, leaning more into Sesshoumaru’s personal space.
Sesshoumaru snorted and reared back, but a small cry from the hut, filled with pain and self-loathing caught his ears. He took a step towards the door, but then stopped himself, clenching his claw into a fist. “I cannot ”
“Cannot explain yourself?”
“No I cannot be in there with him.”
“Why? Because he disgusts you?”
“Never.” Sesshoumaru’s shoulders slumped. “Because … I fear what I will do if I go back in there.”
“What do you mean?”
Sesshoumaru’s eyes met her and they were filled with such wild longing that Kagome stepped back. “The scent of him … the delicate skin … the sweetness of his expression … I … I would take him, Kagome. Forget that he’s wounded … forget that his human form will be weaker … less able to withstand my ardor … gods, he is not safe from me I want to devour him whole. Mark him. Claim him I … I might hurt him ”
“Oh Oh, my ” Kagome flushed as she realize what he was saying. “But you must go back in there, Sesshoumaru, and explain that.”
“Not until Inuyasha is back to his demon form and … and safe.”
“No You can’t wait until then. Don’t you see, he’ll think you left him now and won’t see him because you’re disgusted by his human form ”
“But … that’s absurd If you explain to him what I just—”
Kagome was shaking her head, “No, he’ll never accept the explanation from me. He’ll think I’m lying, trying to make him feel better.”
Sesshoumaru gouged marks into the wood balcony with his claw. “I cannot go in there like this ”
“You must control yourself, Sesshoumaru. Come on You’re always so … so … repressed Surely you can pull it off for a little while ” Kagome pleaded. “He needs you now, Sesshoumaru. You can’t fail him like this.”
Sesshoumaru stared down at the wooden deck, his long elegant fingers tapping against the railing. “I can do this. I will do this. I can do this.” He whispered it like a mantra. He moved to the front of the door, his hand on the panel about to slide it open. With a quick glance at Kagome, he said, “Thank you … for the advice. For … thank you.”
Kagome gave him a tremulous smile he didn’t see as he was sliding open the wooden panel and stepping back into the hut. She thought, ‘I should be upset that I’m strengthening their relationship, but … I’m not. Maybe them together is the right thing. Maybe … I will not repeat the mistakes of the past. I will not be like Kikyou. I will accept this with grace if a relationship with Sesshoumaru is what Inuyasha wants.’ With a determined shake of her head, Kagome turned and went in search of the others, giving the brothers their privacy.
At the sound of the wooden door sliding open then shut, Inuyasha said, without turning around, “Kagome … please, leave me, I don’t want company right now.”
“Not even mine?” Sesshoumaru asked softly as he sat down beside the beautiful hanyou. His claw hovering for a moment over Inuyasha’s shoulder. But before he could place his hand down on his brother’s arm, Inuyasha had swiftly turned around to face him, but not before he gave a whimper of pain from the still healing back wound.
“Sesshoumaru?” Inuyasha said his name tentatively as if he was afraid to say it too loud or too definite would make the image of his brother disappear like smoke. “What … what do you want?”
The youkai allowed a rare smile to grace his lips. “To be with you, little brother. That is all.”
Inuyasha turned his head away from Sesshoumaru, “Why? You did not seem so eager to be with me before.”
Sesshoumaru grasped his brother’s chin and forced the hanyou to face him. “Not for the reason you think.”
“And what reason would that be?” Inuyasha growled even in his human form.
“You think I am disgusted by how you look right now, don’t you?” Sesshoumaru allowed himself to caress the hanyou’s neck a few times.
“Aren’t you though? Seeing me like this,” Inuyasha gestured to his half-clothed human body, “must be a shock. You probably have finally realized that I’m … what I am. I can’t even feel our bond in my mind now But you’re sure to still feel my human … emotions.”
Emotions that were running amok as Inuyasha knew. But he felt things so much more deeply when he was human … and hurt. With a half-sob he tired to turn away from Sesshoumaru’s probing golden gaze.
“I see words will not be enough to show you how wrong you are, precious one. Kagome was right that I had to be here by myself.”
Inuyasha jerked his gaze to meet Sesshoumaru’s once more. The youkai leaned down until his face blocked out everything else in Inuyasha’s sight. Then Sesshoumaru placed the tenderest of kisses on his brother’s human lips and moaned low in his throat. Inuyasha’s human form was so delicious. Hunger for him made Sesshoumaru take another taste. His tongue tracing the line of his brother’s closed lush lips. They parted beneath his probing and Sesshoumaru was flooded with the taste of his brother’s human form. It was like cherries and cream, sweet and rich and overwhelming.
Inuyasha gasped under his brother’s passionate kisses. He had never been so deeply kissed before. Sesshoumaru’s one arm snaked underneath his shoulders and lifted Inuyasha’s torso and head so that he had easier access to the hanyou’s mouth. The pain he felt in his back fled before the tangling of their tongues. Inuyasha reached and grasped his brother’s silken hair in his hands. Heat rushed down his spine and Inuyasha felt his sex become hard and start to bloom as his brother devoured his mouth.
“You are so sweet … so … oh, my precious one, open to me … give me all I desire,” Sesshoumaru said inbetween quick kisses.
“Yes, whatever you want Sesshoumaru.” Inuyasha hardly recognized his own voice it was so wrenched with desire.
Sesshoumaru gently laid him back down and his hungry gaze raced down Inuyasha’s half-bandaged chest to the pants that covered the part of his anatomy that Sesshoumaru needed to taste. As Sesshoumaru trailed his hand over the growing bulge that was Inuyasha’s erection, the hanyou’s legs opened wider and his hips jerked up involuntarily, offering his sex to his older brother.
“I must … must have … must have your seed in my mouth right this instant, Inuyasha. Can you bear it? Please say you can … I don’t know if I am able to stop myself,” Sesshoumaru breathed, his eyes meeting his brother’s, need and longing warring with restraint.
“I can more than bear it. Take what you need. Do whatever you want I’m yours, Sesshoumaru.”
Sesshoumaru growled and opened his brother’s pants. Inuyasha lifted his hips so that his brother could slide them off of him. His cock bobbed up, rosy and already leaking, as the pants were shucked off. With a groan, Sesshoumaru gripped Inuyasha’s hips and leaned down so that his mouth was half an inch from the tip of his little brother’s sex. He breathed in deep and smelled Inuyasha’s human arousal, earthy and almost metallic, but so good. He dipped his head down and swirled his tongue over the tip of Inuyasha’s sex. The hanyou gasped and tried to arch his hips up, but even one handed Sesshoumaru was able to control his little brother’s body.
“Even the hair around your cock is changed, Inuyasha. Black as midnight,” Sesshoumaru breathed as he ran his fingers through it.
He felt and heard Inuyasha’s breath hitch as he did that. “Does it … does it please you, Sesshoumaru?”
With a grin, Sesshoumaru said, “It more than pleases me, little brother. I find you … so alluring like this.” He leaned down for another lick as Inuyasha’s dick produced more pre-cum at the tip. “Do you understand now why I had to leave before?”
“I … no, I’m not sure I do.” Inuyasha’s body began to shake as Sesshoumaru fisted his cock twice.
“I feared that I wouldn’t be able to control myself. And I was right. I need to take you so badly … I fear that your sweet human body is too tempting for me. I wish to keep my word and take your virginity at our castle for the first time … but … how can I protect your virtue and my word when you look and smell so … so much like you need to be claimed by me right this second?”
Inyasha’s head thrashed from side to side. His brother’s words electrified him and made him so hard he couldn’t form a coherent sentence even as his mind sputtered, ‘He’s not disgusted by me, but aroused ’
Sesshoumaru worried his lower lip between sharp white teeth. “I think I know a way where our ardor would both be quenched at once.”
With that he stood up and Inuyasha gave a cry of dismay that his brother was not feasting on his sex.
“Patience, precious one. I will feed from you while you feed from me. We shall reach bliss together.”
Sesshoumaru slid his robes off his shoulders, undid the drawstring of his pants and stepped out of them as they puddled at his feet. He was as naked as he had been in the bath. Inuyasha’s mouth watered as he looked at his brother’s proud sex jutting forth from its nest of soft white fur. Sesshoumaru walked over to Inuyasha and placed one elegant foot on either side of Inuyasha’s body, then he lowered himself to his knees. He positioned the tip of his sex against Inuyasha’s partially opened pink lips. The sweet warmth of his brother’s mouth engulfed the plump head of his sex. Inuyasha gave a quick suck on the head and the youkai cried out in pleasure.
“Not fair, little brother. You shall not make me finish before you.”
Sesshoumaru then proceeded to take all of his brother’s sex into his mouth and down his throat. Inuyasha gasped around his brother’s cock. His arms swarmed up and around his older brother’s waist so he could pull more of Sesshoumaru’s sex into his mouth. The heat and suction that both were experiencing and giving was too much for them to last long. Both brother’s sexes jerked and spilled at the same time. Essence, tangy and cinnamonly filled Inuyasha’s mouth. He drank it down like he needed it to survive. Sesshoumaru sucked out all of the hanyou’s cherry flavored seed like his sex was a straw. Inuyasha gasped and bucked as his brother continued to suck on his depleted tingling cock. Sesshoumaru finally let Inuyasha’s cock slip from his mouth and rested his sweaty forehead against one of Inuyasha’s silky thighs, trying to regain some strength so that he could move and lie down beside the hanyou. Inuyasha let his fingers trail over Sesshoumaru’s buttocks, enjoying the unrestricted access and satiny feel of the youkai’s skin.
Finally, Sesshoumaru raised his head and managed to turn himself around so that he was laying beside the hanyou, not wanting to risk harming him by placing any weight on the more delicate human form. Inuyasha took advantage of the situation by leaning in and kissing his brother’s lips. Sesshoumaru carded his fingers through the hanyou’s dark tresses. He loved the look of his pale fingers moving through Inuyasha’s black hair.
“You are so perfect, Inuyasha. In both forms, I find you … utterly bewitching.”
Inuyasha blushed deeply. “I thought … thought you were … appalled by me. Disgusted by my human form when you left.”
“I know. Please forgive me. But I truly feared that if I stayed a moment longer I would have ripped your clothing from your poor body and take you right in front of your friends. Wound or no … I did not believe I could stop myself.” Sesshoumaru placed kisses all over the hanyou’s face as he explained.
Inuyasha’s forehead crinkled. “How did I get wounded, Sesshoumaru? I remember protecting Kikyou, but …”
Sesshoumaru’s eyes flicked down to the mats on the floor. ‘Dare I tell him now when he is more emotional, still hurting, and exhausted?’
Inuyasha worried his lower lip between his teeth. His violet eyes scanned Sesshoumaru’s too calm face. “It was a … sacred arrow, wasn’t it? That’s what the wound feels like. But worse than how it was when she pinned me to the tree with one of them. It was Kikyou, wasn’t it? She … she shot me again.”
“She … yes, she shot you.”
“And did you … did you kill her?” Inuyasha’s voice broke a little as he said it.
“No, but not from lack of trying. She was saved by Kagura.” Sesshoumaru strove to keep the rage from his voice.
A stray tear made its way down Inuyasha’s face. He brushed it away angrily. “So now she’s in league with Naraku? Damn it ”
“So it would seem.”
“Do you think …” Inuyasha gripped his brother’s shoulder tightly. “Do you think she’s right? That by living we’re going to … going to destroy everything?”
“No, I’m sure that’s not true,” Sesshoumaru said, but he didn’t look Inuyasha in the eye.
“Sess—”
Before Inuyasha could get his question out, the door to the hut slid open with a bang. Sango stood before them, her face flooding with color as she realized they were naked, but with a determined glint in her eyes she said, “Forgive me But this is urgent and I couldn’t—”
“Don’t waste time apologizing if it’s so urgent you couldn’t take the time to knock ” Inuyasha growled as he flushed a dusky shade of rose and tried to clutch some stray piece of clothing over his and Sesshoumaru’s genitals.
Sango bobbed her head. “There’s a comet.”
Inuyasha heard a hiss of air through Sesshoumaru’s teeth. “Are you sure?”
“You can’t miss it. The thing’s the size of a full moon ” She dithered in the doorway for a moment more then said as she turned on her heel, “I’ll let you two get … get yourselves together and see it first hand.”
“Sesshoumaru, that’s the sign that an Ancient is coming,” Inuyasha said, his face paling.
“Yes, I have heard that tale myself,” Sesshoumaru answered. He cupped Inuyasha’s face in his one palm. “Be brave, Inuyasha.”
“I’m trying, but … if the comet part is true could … could the rest be?”
Sesshoumaru leaned over and placed a firm kiss on Inuyasha’s forehead, but said nothing. As he helped Inuyasha dress, one thought ran like liquid fire through him, ‘Even if our joining is the cause of all this … even bringing an Ancient to this world … I refuse to let myself and Inuyasha be slaughtered. We will fight this new evil as father wanted. We will do what we must to survive … together.’
Hugs and kisses!
