Chapter 9
Breakfast


Kagome walked around the kitchen finding everything that she needed to make a descent breakfast.


Soon the kitchen smelled of bacon and eggs. Inuyasha’s ears perked up by the aroma of the cooking food.


A small girl entered the kitchen. Kagome turned around and smiled.


“Hello and who are you? Are you hungry?” She asked, not realizing that Rin was a servant girl.


“No thank you my Lady. My name is Rin and I came to make some breakfast for Prince Koga.” Rin said, confused by Kagome’s presence in the kitchen.


“Well here you can take my plate, I would be more than happy to make some more.” Kagome said handing her a plate of bacon and eggs.


“Thank you my Lady.” Rin said with her head lowered.


“Your quite welcome Rin, and please just call me Kagome.” She smiled while watching the other girl leave the room.


“Oh Rin!” Kagome yelled. Hoping she caught Rin before she left.


“Yes L… Kagome.” She said, correcting herself, looking at the demoness.


“Here I am sure my mate is just as hungry.” She said while handing another plate to her.


Rin gave a slight nod, and smiled at her before leaving the room.


Kagome continued in the kitchen ignoring the protests of the cooks in the background.


“Please Lady Kagome, let me handle this, I would hate to see you get burned. Please, just let us cook you breakfast.” One of the cooks said.


“No, I want to cook, now would you like some, because if not I am going too have to ask you to leave.” She said sternly.


Both cooks looked at each other, confusion written all over their faces. Kagome was still watching them trying not to burn the food in front of her.


She reached over, grabbed two plates, and carefully placing the scrambled eggs and some bacon on their plates with the chopsticks. “I could not wait for you two too decide, so here.” She said handing them their plates. They gratefully took them from her hands and bowed.


“Thank you my Lady.” The older cook said followed by the younger.


“You are quite welcome, but please just call me Kagome.” She said, turning back to the stove and breaking some more eggs into the wok.


Inuyasha’s stomach was rumbling, for the aura of food radiating to his delicate nose. He jumped out of his seat and headed for the kitchen.


He walked in to find his mate behind the stove. A surprised look on his face when he also saw the two cooks sitting down eating their breakfast. He was about to scold them when he heard.


“Are you hungry my love?” She asked, not looking at him.


He nodded his head in a yes and took a seat next to the cooks. Looking like a puppy who found his bone.


With her eggs quickly cooked and she placed them on a plate with the bacon, turning and handing the plate of food to her mate.


“This is so good.” Inuyasha mumbled with food still in his mouth.


She smiled at him finishing her breakfast she sat next to him. A warm smile crossed her face; now that food was beginning, too fill her empty stomach.

A knock at the door disrupted Sesshoumaru and Koga’s meeting. Slowly sniffing the air, he gave a small smile.


“ You may enter Rin.” He said.


Rin entered the room with a tray of food. “I am sorry my lord for disturbing you. I came to deliver Prince Koga and you breakfast.” She said shyly.


“I did not order any breakfast Rin!” He said slightly agitated.


“I am sorry my Lord. Lady Kagome thought that you might be hungry, so she asked me to send a plate to you as well. She said nervously, while still keeping her head down in submission.


A big smile entered Sesshoumaru’s normally stoic face. “Leave the plate Rin, and please tell Kagome my thanks.”


“Yes my Lord.” She said walking backwards toward the door.


Koga just stared at his food, with drool coming from the corner of his mouth.


“Well there is no sense, in letting our wonderful breakfast get cold.” Sesshoumaru said proudly, knowing that his mate made him breakfast.


“Wow, not only is she hot, but she is also a damn good cook.” Koga said chuckling, not realizing that he said his thought aloud.


“Yes, she is both, but you speak of her again, and I may have to slice your tongue out wolf.” Sesshoumaru said with a growl in his voice.


Naraku was pacing in his chambers.


“Kagura!” he yelled, calling the wind demoness into his chambers.


A women entered the study, she was a tall women with black hair pulled into a bun; feathers adorned the top of her bun. She wore a white Kimono with pink flower petals around it, cascading too the floor covering her petite feet. She carried around a fan and kept it close in her hands bringing it out only when she summoned the wind..


“Yes my Lord.” She spoke, when summoned into his chambers.


“I wanted to let you know that both of the Lords of the Western lands had taken a mate. I want you to kidnap her and bring her to me.” He demanded.


She tried to remain expressionless, at the sound of Sesshoumaru’s name. Her insides cried, “ he took a mate, he does not want me anymore.”


“Yes my lord.” She answered and hurriedly turned and walked out of the room.


“Oh my love, she will pay and I will have you back.” She vowed silently to herself. While the fall of tears cascaded down her pale face.


Naraku chuckled watching her leave his presence. “Now, now where was I, oh yes, time to have my morning conversation with our little friend.”

Kagome finished eating, smiling with satisfaction that her belly was no longer dying of starvation, she thought about going to the gardens, where she saw those red eyes into the distance. A hand grabbed her wrist and spun her around, now she was facing a firm chest.


“Inuyasha I should of know it was you. Unfortunately for you, my answer is still no.” She firmly stated. Turning her back towards him and continued to look ahead.


A large growl rumbled form his chest. She ignored him and continued in her thoughts.

“Well if they wanted a yes girl, they picked the wrong one.” She thought to herself escaping a small laugh.

“What the fuck is so funny, bitch.” He barked.

She turned around, looked at him, and said. “You are my love.”

Everything in his body was telling him to dominate her. “How dare she, refuse her mate.” He thought still looking at the backside of her.


Realizing that Inuyasha was trying to dominate the situation, she just smiled.


“Inuyasha, would you like to walk with me?” she questioned and turned her head to see the comical expression adorning his face.


“No I want you to come to bed with me, so I can finish having my breakfast.” He pouted, crossing his arms over his chest.

She walked up to him and cupped his face, standing on her tiptoes she whispered softly in his ear. “ There is a later time for that my love, right now I need a break before the two of you decide to fuck me to death.”


He looked at her with bewilderment.

Wrapping his arms around her waist, bringing her closer to his body he whispered in her ear as well. “ Oh I will go for a walk with you my love, but I promise you when we get back into bed, you will not be able to walk for a week. So I would not worry your pretty, little head off about us, oh how did you say it? Fucking me too death.”


Before he grabbed her arm to drag her for a walk, he gave her a chaste kiss, on her now blushed face.

She stood their speechless, feeling him tugging her arm, as they made their way down the stone steps.

“So what you are saying is Naraku is trying to kill me and my pack, and asked you and your brother to become allies with him.” Said Koga, baffled.


“Yes, that is all I know for now. Please feel free to be a guest in my home and you may return to your pack, after our celebration party for Kagome in a couple of days.” He said, standing up and bowing to the prince.


“Thank you my Lord, I would be happy to stay, congratulations once again.” Koga said also bowing to the lord and retiring from the study.


Kagome stopped suddenly with fear, rippled across her face. She felt the evil rising in her body. She could not move she tried to call out for Inuyasha, no voice spoke out of her small mouth.


“Good morning your highness.” He said coldly.


“What do you want?” She retorted.


“Just to let you know, that I will be seeing you soon. And take what is rightfully mine.” He chuckled.


“What would that be, that I so have.” She answered back at the cold voice in her head.


“I guess you will have to wait to find out, now won’t you.” He laughed maniacally.


“Fuck you!” She growled.

“Tsk, tsk, tsk now is that anyway for a lady to talk, I shall be happy to remedy that in due time my dear.” The voice said one last time before closing his mind off to her.


She could feel him leave her mind, tears streamed down her cheeks while her body was trembling.


“Inuyasha!’ she yelled.


Inuyasha turned around too see a frantic mate.


“What the hell, what happened?” He asked, pulling her into his arms and embracing her tightly to him.


“The voice it came back, Inuyasha.” She said holding him for dear life.


“Why could I not feel your fear?” He said with confusion.

“ I do not know, I was not scared to talk to him, I was frightened by his presence, he is evil.” Kagome said wiping the tears away from her face.

“We will have to go see my brother, do you remember what this voice said?” He asked lifting her face up to meet his golden stare.

“Yes my love. He said that he would see me soon, and that I have something that belongs to him, I basically told him to fuck off.” She said proudly.

Inuyasha could not help chuckle.


“See my love, your swearing is a part of me.” He said laughing harder.


“I am glad you think this is so funny, I for one feel like I am cursed with two sex gods.” She laughed along with him, already feeling better.


“Oh my love, would you have another give you this wonderful curse?” He asked.


“Not in the world, I think I am happy with the two I am with now.” She snickered. “Come on I will race you to your brothers.”

On their way up the stone steps she stopped, feeling that evil again. This time it was a little different she could move, and talk.


Inuyasha felt her fear this time and stopped to see a confused mate. He ran back down to her.


“Its back, that feeling is back Inuyasha.” She said reaching out for his hand, hoping he would comfort her.


They turned around, checking the grounds for any unusual smells or demon presence. Inuyasha could feel his hackles rise, and felt very uneasy.


“Kagome lets get you inside now!” He yelled grabbing her hand tighter and running back into the castle.


Still grabbing her, he sniffed the air and ran to where his brother was.


Kagura, was close by, she could feel the pureness radiate, of the young female demon. “That is strange.” She said to herself.


When she landed on the ground, her large feather transformed into a small feather and she placed it back with the rest of them, securely placing it back into her bun.

“She is a demon how, can she be so pure?” Kagura said mystified.
